You sure you used the right one? You can get it in the Sprint g8 bl unlock thread, or the other one for models with kdzs by me (forgot title)

Only tried the one from bootloader unlock thread for ones with kdzs. And thanks for that one btw. Lol

[Q] Unlocking the bootloader on AME-XXX

Hi,
I've got the international version of the Optimus 4X HD, bought online in the U.S.
It has been recently updated to V20c - the software version code is P88020c-AME-XXX.
Can I use the same unlock procedure for the EUR-XXX models, or do I need to flash EUR-XXX before attempting to unlock?
I had no troubles rooting the phone by following the instructions in this thread.

EUR-XXX worked for my ESA-XXX. It will work for you, if you have bootloader unlock check in hidden menu. You may have fastboot problem, so be ready with correct driver and correct method.
Refer to this thread if stuck on red colored Download mode for long time and no response-

Alright, thanks for the fast response.
The hidden menu indeed has the bootloader unlock check.
I'll report back once I try it.

first you will have to bootloader unlock your One.

Then you will have to root:

Yes you do need to unlock the bootloader, before you can flash a custom recovery. Rooting comes later. The rom is either rooted or not, you do not need one rom to be rooted to flash another.

Most custom roms are already rooted when you install, You will not loose the carrier unlock flashing roms.
I also notice you are on Sprint, be very carefull to use the right custom recovery and a compatible rom with that device.

With the TMO version unlocked you'd think we'd have a simpler root method than flashing the entire /system partition, wouldn't you?

Great. Thanks
G4 newbie here, so the bootloader is fully unlocked on the T-Mobile version then? You don't have to do the official LG Developer unlock method that currently only the 815 EUR model can do?
When ROMs drop, you have full access to the phone? Just want to confirm, I had a non EUR model on AT&T that worked great, but was sick of not having any access to the system. Does the H811 have the bands required for AT&T?
Fully unlocked. No LG dev stuff.

Question to anyone willing to answer:
How did people figure out that enabling OEM unlock made the bootloader be unlocked on the T-Mobile variant? I'm wondering because we have very little info on the H812 variant to determine if this technique would work. And please don't give me that canned answer "IT ONLY WORKS ON H815 and H811", as I know what I'm doing... I just want to understand why the H811 T-Mobile is different and if other more obscure variants could also have this solution.
Thanks!
I Attempted to flash the twrp one click recovery to my friends LG G4 H811 TMOBILE, I went to developer mode, checked the box to OEM UNLOCK, and whenever the phone reboots to Fastboot or Download mode, if done by the H811 one click bat script, the phone only reboots regularly, if i manually adb reboot-fastboot then the screen shows a barcode, and the phones IMEI number. Whats up with this?

If you want root H81110N, just go this route. Much easier and works. http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/h81110n-stock-rooted-image-t3191038

The H811 Tmo is different because the carrier, TMO, decided to allow it to be unlocked. That is pretty much all there is to it. I am sure that is frustrating to non H815 and H811 owners.

The first post in that thread says:
"T-Mobile USA LG G4 H811 10H. WILL NOT WORK ON 10N."
I have the 10N. I also don't have a Windows computer. Where can I find instructions for obtaining root? (I prefer a manual method using Linux commands if possible.)

Problem with root on RMX1931

I decided to root my Realme X2 PRO with Magisk. I unlocked the bootloader, and at that time the fingerprint sensor still worked, but since I have flash magisk, it is no longer usable, is it normal?
Thank You
now I removed the root and it doesn't work anymore ... Version RMX1931EX_11_C.26

It doesn't work cuz you have unlocked bootloader.
on first page there are so many threads with bricked phones so you have to be really brave to try lock it.

How to root the European LG V40 without issues?

Hey all! I'm wondering if there's a straightforward guide to unlock, flash TWRP and root (magisk) on the European LG V40. The fora I read are mostly about the US model, and I read many issues with partitions and the enforcing thing. What does the enforcing mean exactly?
I just want to have magisk with root on stock rom. I guess I won't be able to have OTA updates when done that, right?
So if you have an European LG V40 could you maybe help me to successfully root the V40? If so, I'm gonna buy one (wanted to be sure first).
Thanks!
That I'm aware of the EBW V40 from Europe is the only one with official unlock support from LG...

Then it sounds like either 1) how you're trying to go to fastboot is wrong, or 2) you don't actually have the same version...
