A30 Region Lock reset after install new ROM? - Samsung Galaxy A30 Questions & Answers

I have an A30 that I purchased in India. It was region locked to India so I had to make a 5 minute call with an India SIM card to be able to use the phone in other countries.
My question is - if I install other ROM's available here will the Region Lock be reset, requiring me to make the 5 minute call again to unlock the phone for other countries? I won't be going back to India for quite a while if ever is why I am asking.

[Q] Regarding sim lock while flashing rom

I have a Lumia 520. Did register my phone for dev prieviews as you all know that wo 8.1 is due this week. I want cortana on my phone but they aren't releasing it outside of the US until the next year. My phone is an unlocked Indian variant, so I want to flash the us at&t rom on my phone. Now, the question: the phone is sim unlocked, would flashing the at&t version lock the phone to their carrier. Remember, I live in India.

Help!!! Samsung galaxy note 3 rooted trying to use different service.

Hi. I have a Samsung galaxy note 3 and it rooted. After the root I wanted a different service so I have t-moble. I downloaded the region lock away and went through the steps. After my phone was rebooted it still ask me for a unlock code after installing the region lock away. The note 3 is a att phone. Need help
What rom is on the phone? I believe region lock away will only work with certain modems.
I don't have safe strap installed with different roms. It's the original rom and the phone is rooted
If the rom is too new, I don't think region lock away will work. For example, the s4 the modem must be 4.2.2 with root before region lock away will sim unlock the phone.
Oh ok. Well I'm 5.1 android version. Is there another way I can do this instead of paying for an unlock code?
The only way to unlock would be to get an unlock code. If you're not on ATT and the phone is not blacklisted, maybe contact AT&T.

ROM flashing sim locked phone

Hi,
Can I flash an unbranded stock ROM on my Note 8 before I do the sim unlock via code? The code takes several hours to arrive, and I could setup my phone until then, but I do not know if there is any problem in flashing the unbranded firmware before it is sim unlocked.
Thanks

SM-N950F. Vodafone branded and I want to flash European unbranded ROM.
I saw a post on sammobile since Galaxy S4, where one got a reply that before flashing the unbranded ROM he should sim unlock it first...old situation, but just want to be sure

I own a U model U.S. So Im not sure about F models
What country are you in it only takes hours to get the unlock code?
I've a Note8 F version as well with Vodafone Ireland and had to wait nearly 2 weeks for the code

Does regional activation need to be performed (again) after flashing?

I'm in the U.S. and am interested in the Exynos Note 9 N960F offered by Clove Technology in the UK (I want the Exynos variant so that the bootloader will be unlocked and I can eventually flash custom recovery/ROMs). On Clove's site, they mention that:
Code:
Since September 2013, Samsung has implemented a 'region lock' on all new stock...
for correct operation, this handset should be activated inside one of these countries with a SIM card issued for use there.
The device will then be able to accept SIM cards from outside of these countries. Activation requires turning the device on
for the first time & completing set-up with the SIM installed, then completing at least 5 minutes of voice call(s) with this SIM...
If this activation procedure is not followed then the device will lock when first attempted to be used with a SIM card from outside of these regions...
I'm fine with the activation procedure, but I'm not certain that it would persist through a flash, especially if I wanted to flash back to stock -- does anyone have experience with this matter? Would a regional activation need to be performed again after flashing recovery and/or ROM?

once its unlocked its unlocked for good. people have been ordering international phones from them and other retailers for years and they all get the 5 min call to unlock and device is shipped.
users have wiped countless times and flashed back stock or custom system just as much.
since the network unlocked it with that 1st 5 min call on original soil, it won't relock it back.
forums would be full of: "my region lock relocked"
so all in all dont worry just specify to them that you concent for them to break the seal and use the phone to make 1 call.

Unlocking my Note 8 by flashing Hades ROM or Reflashing Openline Firmware

My note 8 is locked to csc GLB and I can't use any other sim, is it possible to unlocked my Note 8 by flashing Hades ROM or Reflashing Openline Firmware? Thanks <3
Call Globe, it's not illegal. You may have to go in person to one of their stores.
Eventually someone will provide you with instructions on how to reboot your phone, input a code, adn your phone becomes openline.
I've got a smart sim now and I'm free to use it on either sim slot with data enabled.
