Just got my New Note 9 F/DS question about wifi calling

Hello everybody,
I just got my new Note 9 . I read almost on all forums that the dual sim version doesn't come with wifi calling. I'm using my Note 9 on T-Mobile network in the east coast. While exploring the phone I saw the wifi calling option is available to be turned on.
Does this mean that my phone can do a real wifi calling? Because on my old Note 3 when I do wifi calling the wifi calling icon would show up on the phone calling key but with the Note 9 it doesn't so I'm not sure if it even work or not on Note 9.

There should be a WI-FI Calling icon in the status/notification bar during a WI-FI Call.

I don't see the wifi icon on my note 9. I guess I don't have wifi calling. But there is the switch/option to turn on. Thanks for the info

So I have to root my Note 9 to be able to use the WIfi calling?

May update enabled WiFi calling on my SM-N950F/DS (T-Mobile)

I have an international (gold) unlocked dual SIM and I thought I was hallucinating today when my phone got the May Android update and suddenly there was an option for Wi-Fi calling in Phone settings. I didn't think it would work but it definitely is at least on T-Mobile as I see "T-Mobile WiFi Calling" when I pull down the notification shade and calls work in airplane mode (with WiFi on).
Super stoked as this definitely didn't work before. Anyone else see this?

Different device than my SM-N950F/DS. Samsung didn't enable WiFi calling in settings in the dial SIM model until now that is.

wifi calling preferred

hi All
is there any way to force wifi calling preferred i can se wifi calling option and is all working just fine but i would like to have that on in home
i did change mode from -1 to 2 via adb shell settings put global wfc_ims_mode 2 but after reset it goes back to -1
my network EE UK
my sister bought same phone from O2 and she can choose wifi calling preferred under wifi calling option

There's a way to set it on my phone, but I am in the U.S. on AT&T. All I do is turn wifi calling on in the drop down toggle menu on the notification shade when connected to wifi.

On my old Note 8(dual sim), one of my operators allowed the setting and the other did not. I just enabled wifi preferred and swapped my sims.

Looks like wifi calling preferred option in not available for my carrier anymore
I pop in my wife O2 UK sim card and bang I got wifi preferred or mobile preferred under wifi calling toggle but as soon I pop in my sim EE UK is gone so my carrier did something to disable that

Wifi calling on tmobile note 5 not working?

I was given a Samsung galaxy note 5 that is fully unlocked originally T-Mobile phone. I have AT&T and get service just fine but wifi calling does not seem to allow me to enable it in any way. In the drop-down menu, the wifi calling icon is frozen as well. I'm assuming this is because I have an at&t sim card? Or is there a work around for it?

Does Oneplus support Wifi calling using cellular data of 2nd SIM ?
Instead of putting the 2nd sim card in a different mobile and enabling hotspot to use the Wifi calling, can I just put the 2nd SIM card in the same mobile oneplus 10 and still be able to use wifi calling for 1st SIM using the cellular data of 2nd SIM

I'm pretty sure ..No.. because you actully need a sim card in to enable wifi calling . No setting come up for the one without Sim in it.

Actually the SIM will be in, and wifi calling will be enabled, no issue here
My question: Does Oneplus support Wifi calling using cellular data of 2nd SIM or it will only work in wifi connection
When I travel I don't like to use the roaming for my main SIM card but I need to make and receive calls so usually I try to get a local sim card and use it in another mobile and open hotspot to connect my first mobile so I can use the wifi calling for my main SIM.
If I put the new sim card in the same mobile oneplus 10 will wifi calling work in the main SIM by using the cellular data of 2nd SIM
I know this is working in some other phone like google and Samsung and some time it is called backup calling
but I don't know if it will work in oneplus 10
