Just leave my phone on its charger base and after it reaches 100%, it keeps having the 100% full notification with the Yellow Star. It keeps on doing this every now and then, maybe like every 5 - 10 mins, which is quite bothering as I keep looking at it whenever it displays the notification.
Is this okay? Seems like the phone doesn't like to be charged all the time and asking to take it out from the charger.
Nevermind, seems like the issue is with the USB plug with 3 ports. Not sure why but after I changed to another port, the issue is no longer there.

Hello everyone, I seem to have a problem with my phone, This has been happening since last night. The day I woke up, everything was perfect, then around mid-day, I charge my Note 5 through my computer, then every 1-2 seconds my computer starts playing the disconnected/reconnected sound, and on the other side, the Note 5 flashes on showing that it's charging with a vibration. So I remove the charger, and then the phone continues to flash on with a vibration and saying that it's charging repeatedly, even when the nothing is connected. It also shows the neat little charging animation on the bottom of the screen when you charge it. So in conclusion, when charging, it rapidly disconnects/reconnects flashing the lock screen, with a vibration and charging animation, however upon removing charger, effects still apply. (Appears to be charging when nothing is plugged in. Any tips or advice will help. Thanks.

Well I'll leave the question (striked) below, but my phone decided to make me look crazy. Been testing on and off for 5 hours today after noticing it yesterday. Minutes after posting this question it is no longer doing it . . .
Hopefully it is nothing major, and it was just something that is supposed to happen under certain circumstances.
Thanks
On the lock screen it says charging slowly whenever it is connected to the charger now. I thought it might be the new battery optimisation as I dont remember it doing that before, so turned it off and still says the the same thing and seems to be fairly slow at charging. While the phone itself is turned off it seems a bit faster but I cant be certain.
Can anyone else confirm if their lock screen says charging slowly while connected to a (stock) charger, with the new battery optimisation turned off?
Or if not does anybody know what the problem might be?
Thanks
Hello. My Note 5 started to show this weird issue while charging thru cable (please see linked video), sometimes it stop acting up and "cable charging" shows but charges super slow (like 5 hours or so to full charge) "fast charging" doesn't kick in either. Charger adapter and cable are good because I tried using it with my mom's S7 and it works great, fast charging and everything so it might not be the adapter nor the cable. Also, sometimes the battery says (for example) like 20% and suddenly drops to 15% and if i reboot, it boots with a different percentage (sometimes more, sometimes less) also, I should add that it charges fine thru wireless charging. anyone experienced this issue or something similar? Any help will be appreciated!
This is the video showing the issue, the video is not mine but it shows the issue I am having, mine is not as bad as the one on the video, but nonetheless is the same issue
I should add that I already tried formating the device and also tried Odin with the latest PH2 update and still does the acting ?
Has anyone else notice problems charging yet?
When charging using the supplied adapter, the battery percentage stops increasing at some point. 46% or 67% etc it just stays stuck even though the charging symbol remains.
The phone stays hot like it is charging, but it still says '46% 1 hour remaining to fully charge etc'. If you leave it for an hour, it stays at 46%. If you unplug and restart the phone, it will be at 100%.
I hope this is a software bug? It seems others are impacted too. google support link below.

Mine is working fine
Same error, but on 92%. I didn't restart the phone, and after 5 hours without charger battery level went down normally.

Same for me here. I'm monitoring the issue until next week and then decide what to do

Surely that just sounds like a software issue or glitch. It's not stopped charging, it's just not updated correctly?

yes it appears that way. hopefully.
Hi ! Mine is stuck at 100% after charging at night. I use the google pixel stand. After rebooting battery falls down rapidly to the correct amount but it gets stuck everytime I charge it back fully with the stand. I'll need to try with wire charging though to see if the issue is the same.
No such issue with my Pixel 5 Sorta Sage here in Australia. Sounds like a software glitch though. Had mine for 3 days now and it's been going really well. I'm also not seeing this "gap" issue that others have mentioned either.
After my pixel shutted down at 1% battery (24 hours standby and 7.5 hours of screen)
I put it to charge and turned it on and left it charging.
I came back later. And the phone was at 1% level still charging. With battery saver enabled
I restarted and the phone was already at 100%
What the hell is going on.
I used my Pixel 4 charger instead of Pixel 5 but they look like the same charger with type C power delivery

Mine has this issue too - same with different adapters, but doesn't happen every time with the same adapter. When plugging in it will go up a couple of % over a few minutes, then gets stuck - it might go up another percent randomly here and there, but not at the "actual" rate that it's charging.
Restarting seems to force it to update to the correct charge percentage, but not to carry on increasing at the correct rate. Tempted by a factory reset!

Mine got stuck at 69% for over 12 hours, i had to do a factory reset for sending the phone back anyway and it was still at 69% after the factory reset. So i don't think factory reset will do any good. Probably a software bug they need to fix.
I've also just seen this, the charge indicator got stuck at 47%, when reconnected the charging cable, the charge indicator quickly got up to around 80% and then carried on at a normal pace.
Same here. Stuck at 44%, then 88%, then 100%, then 96%. Some people were suggesting that it's a bug related to the far-right icons in the customization of the launcher. Don't know if that's true but defenitely will give it a try
There is some update in Pixel forums. According to it, will be fixed in a future software update.

Hello, While charging my pixel 5 using the official charger, the charge connects and disconnects over and over, probably half second gaps in between.
This happens when device reaches 47% and if the environment is dark ,but when I turn on room light ,this does not happen. It happened during my first charge cycle and second one.
I've done as many debugging steps as I can, and I am certain this is a bug.
Root issue: charger connects and disconnects over and over.
Can someone confirm if anyone is facing the same issue and if it's a software thing?
I haven't noticed this. That would drive me crazy, try a different wire maybe
That kind of behaviour is normally a dodgy charging port.
I've encountered this, but only with my 5 port Aukey charger that does not support PD on its USB-C port and it happens once battery is charged over 10%. Someone on Reddit also had this only with 5 port charger without PD support.
Issue does not happen on official charger from the box for me.
same here, dark environment screen on off looping
really annoying
I switched to airplane mode, did not happen again, weird.
Hello All,
Update on the original issue:
Tried to replicate the same issue in bright environment today, below is the behaviour:
1. Connected the device to charger when the battery percent is at 16%.
2. I did not notice any issue until the device is charged up to 60%. After that the charge connects and disconnects over and over for 4 times with 45 seconds to 1.5 minutes time interval. After that it's all good.
I think the fix that Google has pushed for battery percent issue is causing this.
Any thoughts?

I have not noticed this on my pixel, I would call up Google tell them that you want to return the phone and make sure they don't charge a restocking fee. Tell them that you've been really inconvenienced by this and that you do not want to be charged the restocking fee, Then rebuy the phone again. That's the only way you'll guarantee the phone will be new.
If my phone was doing that I would be heated
