I just saw today that Samsung has announced the Titanium version.
https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-watch-3-titanium-release-date-price-1158742/
https://news.samsung.com/us/galaxy-watch3-titanium-luxury-durability/
Well, I just saw a review that says the band is stainless steel rather than titanium. I'm not sure why Sammy would make a lighter watch with a heavier band. Bummer. I hope they have an option for a titanium band.
I don't get it. For an extra $170, you get something 0.4 ounces lighter but otherwise mostly indistinguishable from stainless steel. Plenty of other stainless steel band options out there for $15-$20.
Maybe it's more scratch resistant, but I went with a bezel and body protector, anyway, that changed my watch from black to silver (should have gone with silver if I put more thought into it).
For the most part I have upgraded the bands that come as stock on Samsung watches. Looks like I'll be doing the same on this. Don't see it listed it yet for pre-order on the Samsung USA site.
Interesting titanium model, but I'm passing for now...
Just had a chat with Samsung about my S7 but also asked when the Titanium will be available for pre-order in the US. She checked with her team and had no information she could share. Gotta say that my experience so far with Chats has been close to useless.
It's up for pre-sale at B&H:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...r840ntkaxar_galaxy_watch3_gps_smartwatch.html
if i can trade in the current watch 3 lte for this i would. otherwise its a pass.
rather useless imho. Stainless steel is supposed to be more durable, harder material, and it looks same black as normal stainless steel.
I dont see the point besides weight, which is rather light already on gw3.
i dont see the point in the fold z thom browne edition but there's people out there that do. same with this. it just another option for some who want to be different.
According to one Youtube review, the stainless steel band weighs 105 grams and the Titanium watch body weighs 43 grams (about 10 grams less than the SS version.)
I found a titanium band on Amazon that costs $30 and weighs only 55 grams. Given the low price, I'm not sure why Samsung didn't choose a titanium band to match the watch.

I believe Titanium to be easier to scratch. It is not as hard as stainless steel.
At this price point, my opinion is that stainless steel version is better cause for a lower price you can get LTE, which is by far more useful than a titanium black case bluetooth only watch.
To my knowledge titanium only comes in BT version.
ooooooooooooohhh !!! if its BT only them im out! I need LTE... thanks for sharing that.. ill be keeping the watch3 LTE then with my stainless band..

It seems that the Titanium is not getting a lot of love, but Samsung is offering a $50 certificate if you reserve now.
https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/w...atch3-45mm-titanium-bluetooth-sm-r840ntkaxar/
I am still waiting for the email from Samsung telling me to submit my order and get the certificate. The Watch shows reserved in my Samsung app, but when I try to order with the app nothing shows up yet about the certificate.
I absolutely love the Titanium watch... Oozes luxury and robustness. With the word Titanium subtly engraved on the casing...

Nope.. It's extremely comfortable in fact.. And it's a perfect fit against the case. Which you won't get with third party bands... [emoji1303][emoji1320][emoji91]

Indeed, looks nice fit close to the case, thx for sharing. The titanium engraved is cool too.
They really should have made it LTE though.
Without LTE, close to this price tag there is some very nice Garmin fenix 6 out there with either sapphire glass or titanium case with better sport sensors and measurements.
GW3 looks a bit more classy though and i love mine for that (GW 45mm LTE black) and it has this rotative bezel and touch screen that garmin doesnt offer on fenix 6.

That's one FAT case, but for those that want to be 100% safe, here you go! hehe. Tons of colors, too.
And for only 17 dollars @@
We have been talking about this knock-off case for 2 weeks already in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174889
It's a fake Griffin case for Note 2, even so Griffin does NOT even make cases for Note 2. They took S3 design and scaled it up to Note 2. This is NOT waterproof case, but has one of the best protections, better than Defender. Check out my review in the link above. Plus, you can get it cheaper from www.tvc-mall.com

Insane color selection!!! Nice!!!
Really cheap! Are they reliable sellers?

Pretty sweet looking case, choice of colors are good also... the holster doesnt convince me much but for the price its worth a try.. although the camera being covered might present a problem for someone who uses the camera often.
Look into my review here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174889 and also scroll down to the second post where you see a lot more pictures. Quality is superb, protection is better than Defender, built in screen protector is very functional (though have to remove inner plastic cover which I forgot to do lol!!!), the case will be very bulky with additional protection but it's meant for a heavy duty rugged use outdoors. You toss this em-effer from a 5 story building on a concrete floor and it will probably survive
Belt clip is bot as sturdy, but its a design of original Griffin Survivor. Keep in mind, Griffin does NOT make Survivor for Note 2. This is improvised knock off where S3 case was scaled up for Note 2 footprint. Camera flip is fine because it attaches on a string where you can turn it out of the way without a need to hold down the flap.

Think it's too much to hope I can buy 2 of these and mix colors? From the other fake survivor thread it seems like the quality control on these can be spotty. Do the microphone holes look much smaller on these than the ones from case parts or am i imagining things?
Also, I too am wondering about the validity of this site.

Of Aliexpress? I buy from them all the time. I have yet to have an issue with the sellers. Also, you should buy from popular sellers. Regardless, they don't get paid until you get the product in your house and release the funds. I wish I could say the same about CrapBay.

I ended up ordering one locally here in china on taobao. The case is really nice and I like it alot. The only downside is the rubber that protects the camera I could do without . It is a littke bit of a hassel when you want to take a picture. Other than that well worth thr $6 usd.

I sent an email about Verizon compatibility and they said it is suitable for the 980.

Did anyone get it?
I got it and it is by far the nicest, high end case I have ever had on any android phone, period. The one (and only) thing I envy about the iPhone is the amount of accessories, especially high end cases, that are available for it. But finally, I have a high end, actual leather case that even my Apple friends are envious of! I will try and post pics, or maybe a video later today. By the way, I have the tmobile USA g2 and it fits perfectly, if anyone is wondering, so this should fit the at&t and Sprint versions as I think they are the same sizes, but I have heard the Verizon is a little thicker so I don't think it would fit?

I'm also interested in this case....can you upload some pics please? Has anyone else tried Tededs cases?
I'm really tempted to get one but I can't decide to get just the back case or the book case with a magnetic flap. It looks really nice but how much protection would it deliver if I accidentally drop it? I've had my LG G2 for about six months now and I've only dropped it once while naked when I stepped out of my car and I forgot I had it on my leg.
All the cases on that page actually fit the Verizon LG G2? They do look nicer than others cases I have seen, even if it isn't a lot of protection.
Edit: nevermind they replied to me just now that they are not compatible with the Verizon G2. The earlier reply posted by someone was wrong which is what I figured. Personally I think Verizon changed the phone just enough to force people to buy the case from them. I have never seen a phone with so few quality cases.
Anyone who have bought case from Tetded and have any feedback/pics how the quality is etc?
Love it but does anyone make a case like this that wraps around the front?

The "gadgeteer" in me says "Why yes, of course it's worth it." My wallet says otherwise. It does have a metal band, metal face, and fingerprint resistant face.

Overpriced. The regular Pebble at $150 is too much. I got it with the Best Buy deal and at $100 it's worth it.
$250? The Galaxy Gear can be had between $200-$250 when it's on sale.
One major problem I see is the special strap (Yes Im aware the Gear has this same problem but you're getting superior hardware at a similar pricepoint albeit a shorter battery)....you can't use any 22mm strap like you do with the original Pebble. I use my Pebble while I'm working out to get notifications and change songs. I use a rubber or Nato strap for that and swap it to a leather strap afterwards.
I'm not going to workout with a watch on a steel bracelet. Sure I could opt for the leather but if you sweat on it consistently, it'll need to be replaced in a few months. Guessing it'll be 39 or 49 to swap it out.
Looks a lot nicer than the original plastic version. Still sticking with my Gear
It's a lot more fun playing with the Pebble than the others. I have the Sony SW2, bought the Gear, returned it after 30 days, bought the Pebble and the new Sony. I'm planning on returning the Sony, don't know yet. The Gear was so limited in terms of apps and plain simple "fun" toys. After all, these are all toys.

It also has an led that I'm sure somebody will come up with a use for, double the flash memory and both metal and leather straps come with it. Hi, not sure if links are permitted so will just give you the details. I purchased it from Amazon UK from the marketplace seller Ritche Horologe Co. Ltd. The product details are: Ritche 22mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Band Strap Straight End Solid Links Color Black (£12.99). Took about a week to arrive but we'll worth wait. Good quality for price and easy to adjust length with removable pins.
Returning to thread topic...who's bright idea was it to stamp a massive pebble logo on the front of the new pebble steel? Not sure how popular that will be...IMO, this logo dominates the screen. Should be much more discrete/subtle.

I will be up for buying someone's OEM leather band if someone is willing to sell it in the U.S. Just P.M. me and let me know!!!
I ordered a custom strap from Patrik at Clover Straps for my Moto360. He's just started it. Then on Friday I ordered a G Watch R and asked Patrik to not cut the little notches in the strap that the 360 needs and I'm gonna use it on the GWR instead
Am I right in assuming that any 22mm watch strap will work with the G Watch R?
I'm interested in getting a stainless steel strap but I might wait until I have the watch before I choose the strap as I want to ensure the colours match.
I think what your asking is if you need the rounded or straight pin, correct? You need the straight one.

Genius.
Currently waiting for the my watch to arrive.
I was thinking about buying the following from eBay (18-22mm Hadley Roma Stainless Black MB5178A)

I'll bet if you go to FaceRepo and type to search "Rolex", you'll find what you want.
Edit: I meant it would be THIS, but now when I look closer, no it aint. Or then it's different version.

Lug Adapter Zenwatch 3
I looked at the pictures of the lug_adapter and to me personally
it looks ugly and not professional at all.
What's really needed is to find someone who can make lugs identical to the
original lugs attach to the watch just like the original ones but 20mm in size
so we can attach any 20mm bands to the watch without making the watch
look un-professional.
This lug adapter on Reddit looks similar to what I seen on Amazon.com
for the Samsung S2 Classic watch which had the extra link attached to
the original lug which also looked bad. (if you all know what I mean).
Have a great day!

This is available on Amazon now, but the reviews aren't stellar. Apparently, it's actually plastic not metal (why are they called Steel Connect?), and the color/texture doesn't match the watch metal at all (not even the black). I'm really disappointed because this looked like a really good (even though overpriced) solution, but I ended up buying the watch anyway after several companies came out with metal mesh bands that are specifically designed for the ZW3.

It works for me.
It's aluminium. Lightweight.
Though the corner edge is of the connector is sharp.
If you play with pets or kids, just take note not to scratch the kids.

@shenlong85
As I said in my previous post here, the steel connect is an ugly piece of junk
which makes the Zenwatch 3 look like something home-made by someone
who does not know what they are doing.
It might be OK if you broke your stock band and there were no other choices
of bands, even then I would not pay more than 99 cents for it since that's all
it's worth. At Amazon Com there are many other very nice choices of bands
specifically for the Zenwatch 3 which look great and look very professional.
They also cost half as much as the cheap, ugly steelconnect adaptors.
Your screenshots prove my point very well, the steelconnect adaptor
makes the Zenwatch 3 look ugly and unprofessional. LOL
Have a great day!

How can a company sell something called "SteelConnect" when the
adaptor is made out of plastic, it's false advertising.

It's new year eve. Chill. I just post to share my experience.
Really like the aluminium used.
Though not sure your problem with "plastic". Definitely it is not made of plastic like what the Samsung Galaxy series is using.
Some other views with the aluminium finish. Take note sweat will erode the aluminium gently. So do wipe it with damp cloth regularly.

Sorry about that, I forgot it's almost New Years eve!
Enjoy your Zenwatch 3 with the steelconnect band adaptors.
Have a great day!
The photos of the connectors in the Amazon reviews really look plastic, and the reviews actually state they are. Do you know if the manufacturer created multiple versions? Maybe the original ones (prototypes) were plastic?
All that being said, your connectors don't look plastic and actually look pretty good (even if I don't really care for your choice of bands -- that's the Steel Connect band, right?). Glad you like them. I would probably buy a set myself if I could confirm the ones I would receive are definitely not plastic. I'm not paying $40 for plastic.
Happy new year!
Here's mine with a nato strap that came with the connector. I have had it for about 3 months I think.
Colour matching isn't perfect, but it does the job well.
Worth it or not? I guess it depends on whether if you really want to freely change watch straps.
