The situation:-
Bootloader unlocked
Magisk canary installed
No screen lock set
Custom twrp by moronofrio installed
Official realme UI
I read somewhere I don't remember and couldn't find but I know I read that after installing custom recovery I can not change screen lock.
Questions:-
1) can I set a screen lock now(pin or pattern)
2) after setting a lock can I change it.(I think I read twrp only supports pattern lock).
3)setting and changing lock would do any problems??
Thanks in advance
Have you tried to set one and check yourself already?
No

Hi, can't find info on this anywhere, can anyone please shed some light on my problem? I did a factory reset on my P10, bootloader is locked again which is great but FRP is showing as unlocked in bootloader. When I try to use Andriod Pay it wouldn't work and says bootloader is either unlocked, or I use custom ROM etc...but I'm full stock and bootloader is locked again, I think it's the FRP that causes this. How do I lock it please? Thanks for your help
Edit: I found out I'm on completely different firmware that to what I'm supposed to be(I think). I'm on VTR-L09C432B201 which seems to be Europe region and I'm in UK. Do you think this prevents pay from working?
What is your Enable OEM Unlock option status?
If it's enable, try to disable it, reboot and check FRP status.

It's still the same, it was enabled and I disabled it and no change. I'm just trying to get that android pay to work. Maybe I'll try to force OTA update to 8.0 and see if that does anything??
hi, i would like to ask about a warning that is showing after boot -
- is there way to remove the warning and stay rooted without problems? e.g. lock bootloader without removing root (magisk)
- how to make propper splashes for A2 that are working? anyone tryed? (i tryed TissotSplashMaker but black screen only happened and the warning was still on)
Thank you
don't try to relock the bootloader if you modified anything on SYSTEM or installed a new ROM
at this moment there is no solution for removing the warning message after unlocking
bump. I hate the warning. Any way to remove it yet? Would something similar to this work?
I dont know how ( i think i did it when i open oem lock [unlock]) but my FRP lock status is "FRP Unlock"
Can it cause to prevent me to install new roms on my phone and if yes, how can i lock back?
Thanks....

If you don't have Bootloader unlocked just go to Settings /System/ Developer options and switch off OEM Unlock (=FRP Unlock)
Btw, there is no need for panic because of unlocked FRP (and/or because of its warning while booting

You didn't state here but from your another post (you installed RR), you unlocked Bootloader and therefore obviously you had to unlock OEM/FRP
If you don't like unlocked FRP, then you first go back to stock Nougat, re-lock Bootloader and forget about rooting, installing custom ROMs, etc - for all that you must have unlocked Bootloader AND unlocked FRP
i need do UNLOCK FRP but on OREO i cant find setting UNLOCK OEM...
EDIT: sorry i read now "Chinese Brands dont have FRP." so i can install directly OPENKIRIN rom without FRP check . My bootloader is unlock

On the 'Chinese' Oreo there is no OEM unlock option in Developers Options, and OEM/FRP always stays unlocked - please consult HWOTA7 OP instructions.
OEM/FRP stays unlocked also if going to Open Kirin ROMs and back (if f
the required installation procedure is followed)
Check in Fastboot, maybe only your Bootloader is locked, and you just need to unlock Bootloader again in Fastboot

Ok, be careful to follow OpenKirin installation guide
Btw, there was a trick to re-enable hidden OEM Unlock option in Oreo, post in the HWOTA7 thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9...date-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849/post77296996
With root, open from eg MiXPlorer:
/hw_oem/prop/local.prop
find and uncomment the line (remove trailing character #):
ro.frp.pst=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/frp
Then reboot, open Settings/System/Developer options and find the belowed OEM Unlock option (see attachments)
Hi everyone,
I was trying to update my android os into custom rom with android10 but i'm stuck with the boot menu when trying to use odin and it says FAP LOCK and OEM LOCK. I wonder what is this lock. Any idea how to unlock this and change my rom into android 10? Really appreciate any help! Thanks!

FAP lock? Sounds like something I need...
You need to enable the OEM toggle in developers settings to be able to flash TWRP. (settings/about phone/software information/tap on the build number 7 times/then dev setting will appear in the settings menu) Make sure to read the whole first post of not only TWRP but the rom you want to flash. As soon as you flash TWRP make a backup of the EFS folder!
FRP (factory reset protection) lock is just a feature enabled on stock filmware where if your phone was stolen the person cant just flash stock filmware and then use your phone, they would have to login to your google account.
There was a problem after rooting, first after unlocking the bootloader I turned on the developer option and saw the status showing unlock. Then I installed TWRP and routed with magisk. Now go to the developer options and see the status lock, although the boot logo shows unlock but what is the reason for showing the lock here? How can this be fixed? And from the beginning I have been using only one mi account
