[Q] Official T-Mobile Firmware

I've flashed onto my galaxy s 2.3.5 JVS firmware and im trying to flash onto that the official t-mobile firmware. i downloaded it off sam mobile website and the only file it gave was the pda. I flashed it onto my phone but it kept boot looping. im now going to try flashing it through mobile odin as the computer version caused the boot loop.
the file is JV9_JV7_JVO.tar
Does this flash need a pit file or just the pda?
thanks
You only need a .pit file if you have 3 files in your firmware pack and have repartition ticked in Odin.

Can I install image from recovery mode?

My GN is bricked. I can connect to ODIN but it hangs at factoryfs.img when I tried to install the GB factory image. I have even gone through the repartition process.
Can I put an image on my sd card and run it from recovery mode? I am assuming the zipped .tar files are not going to work from recovery mode.
Where can I get a stock GB image that I can put on my SD card and will work in recovery mode?

[Q] CWM format boot

hey guys, im curious.
I have a boot loop problem, would I be safe to 'format boot' through CWM or will this screw up my i9000?
I Have a stock rom 2.3.6 with the PDA, CSC, PIT and Modem files for odin.
Could i rely on the stock rom files through odin to save me if I formatted boot and screwed my phone?
Thanks for any help

you can format boot and should not try booting phone BUT powerdown, pull out battery, sim, SD cards and go into download mode to flash FULL package
you can get everything you need from My Android Collections place a bootloader with ROM package and also tick update bootloader

[Q] GT-I9070 soft-bricked? Please help!

Hi,
I tried to install TWRP Recovery via ODIN, but I loaded the .tar.md5 file into BOOTLOADER section instead of PDA.
Phone is stuck on Samsung logo, but I can access ODIN MODE and I can flash files.
How to recover the phone?

Flash stock JB firmware over it,if you were on JB. Do not flash P firmware over non P phone and vice versa.
Flash stock firmware with Odin.

OC3 Stock KERNEL Recovery-Flashable.zip

I know there is OC1 and NC2 kernel that can be flashed with Safestrap. I'm looking for OC3 flashable kernel.
Anyone got it or know how to make it?
I took the OC1 Kernel Flashable zip and extracted the boot img that was in the sd card folder and replaced it with the one from OC 3 AP File, zipped it back up.
Used the NC2 Flasher and flashed it with Safedtrap 3.75. Safestrap DID not say it was OC3, but NL1. Phone INFO says it's OC3 Bootloader.
