My Realme X2 Pro (12GB Variant) is slowing down
I bought the phone about 3-4 Months ago and it was working absolutely fine until a few days ago
It heats up very frequently and sharply now,it's battery drains quickly and while using almost every app ,there is a massive performance drop from before
I've tried a lot of things like restarting the phone , removing unnecessary apps , clearing storage, and even reupdated the phone through recovery mode, still no difference
I generally do gaming and social media scrolling on my phone (not facebook)
What do I do to fix the issue now???
Do you use Nova Launcher? I got massive battery drain when I allow this to run in the background.

No I don't
I use the default coloros system launcher
You said you tried everything but didn't mention a factory reset ?
Install Greenify, BetterBatteryStats

I have a 6 month old Xperia V - in absolutely pristine condition, moderately used.
Never faced any issues.
But since the last 2-3 days, the phone gets heated up too much on almost no use and gets slow/lags.
Sample usage when the phone is heating up:
- Listening some songs on earphones / speaker
- playing simple games like candy crush in parallel
- 3g data turned on / wifi turned on
I don't think that the battery is the issue. Battery health is good.
Any idea how to find the root cause.
i did update some apps from play store a few days ago:
- FB
- FB messenger
- Yahoo mail
- Candy Crush
Kindly help. <worried
Running on stock 4.1.2 JB.
Never Rooted the phone.

You will need to clear your background apps once in a while. Or a reboot would help. Hope I helped.

Yes. of course did that. Rebooted. Killed apps using 'Clean Master'
Tried the basics.
My usage is also not very memory consuming.
My guess is it is either one of these apps consuming high memory or CPU after being updated or phone searching for network continuosly??

Any good diagnostic feature / app which I can use to find what's causing it when the phone gets heated up?
It is getting heated up very fast suddenly.

Android Tuner, so you can check what activities using the most CPU
=)
Have you checked the wakelock? I think the heat is because the screen.. If you play games too long it can gets the screen hotter, the cpu get hotter also because the heat from the screen.. It can make the cpu slow because thermal sensor active to reduce the heat..
Reduce heat = reduce performance = cool the cpu

First of all I would like to say that I have searched the forums and Google but to no avail. Hence I am starting this thread.
First of all the RAM, the free RAM on 4.3 (stock .205) is awful, sometimes I am down to about 70mb even after a clean boot I have around 250-300mb free. This is ****, my 2011 Xperia had better RAM management. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or does anyone know what uses so much RAM (I have de-bloated the ROM and have minimal apps, none of which eat significant RAM).
Secondly battery drain, whenever the alarm (stock Sony app) is on I get horrible battery drain and the android os uses excess mobile data which causes the battery drain (device never deep sleeps). It is a very annoying issue that I haven't been able to fix, I typically lose between 23%-30% over night at a rate of ~3% per hour.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Any input is appreciated.

Wow, free RAM under 70 mb maybe u should check all of your running apps, each apps have a different memory usage and there is one app with much memory usage, and as we know, the bloatware is also use the memory even though they are not using it. When i'm on stock, i had never get free RAM under 150 mb, my phone is rooted and i'm using root uninstaller app to freeze some bloatware apps and uninstall them :good:

The RAM issue is a pretty common issue with our SP.
You can try some different custom ROMs in the development thread (Out of the ones I've tried OmniRom seems to have the most free RAM so far). Also, if you have root and you don'y want to remain on the stock ROM, try using Greenify for apps you don't want to constantly run.
WLD (wakelock detector) is another app you can install to see what apps are misbehaving and destroying your battery life

Yeah, I tried some ROMs, including eXistenZ but to no avail. As for the battery issue it has something to do with the alarm/google play services/android os, but the funny thing is that eXistenZ does not have the battery drain.
You might check what xposed framework can bring you. Has some nice add-ons to handle wakelocks in a better (w.r.t battery life) way

Hey everyone,
My note 4 on 5.0.1 running any rom (stock, poprocks, TekHD) runs super hot. The area on the screen that is right below the camera is unpleasant to touch. When running a cpu temperature monitor I seem to identify around 60c and when Web browsing and scrolling though pages it'll go up to 70c. This also seems to be killing my battery life. Over 10 hours I'll be lucky to get 2 hours sot.
I've gotten wld and bbs and don't see any crazy wake locks that aren't supposed to be there. Largest one is my Google play music which I do use. 2nd up is Bluetooth, I'm guessing because of my android wear device. I've also done clean installs where I do a correct wipe then don't install any apps. Still horrible battery life, still lots of heat.
From reading about it sounds like the heat issue could be a bad device and I should get it replaced? Should I try picking up a new battery?
Over the course of writing this post, about 4 minutes I've gone from 17% to 10%.
Reinstall rom with factory kernel and install kernel adiutor apk for cpu control from google play. Im using rapture 3.0 without issues and battery pretty good and temp is normal.

Same problem here SM-N910G on 5.1.1 stock ROM. Installed a new genuine Samsung battery, NC. I hit about 60°C when at idle, 65°C when browsing. I wiped davlik cache and cache on teamwin, which seems to have helped a little. Battery is lucky to last 4-5 hours tops.
Did you find a solution? I thought it might have been from using Blitzwolf and Xaomi chargers, but it's the CPU getting hot, battery stays at 40°C
Are you using a custom kernel? I had an issue with a bad kernel setup and it restored my settings automatically which was the cause of my battery drain.
When i bought this phone, i had 3.4.5 OS version i think, it worked great especially memory management was FANTASTIC i had like 15 apps open and even after 5-6h idle time, the apps where not reloaded. After updating to 4.0 the battery started to get way worse, so i was happy to see they released 4.0.1, but now the battery is a tiny bit better (vs 4.0) but....the apps started to reload like crazy, even 3-4 apps are being reloaded in no time, like 2-3mins?
Anyone have an idea whats going on, is it memory leak?!
factory reset might solve this issue bro
So my SOT is a low lower than everything I have been reading on the forums. Just tested and had a SOT of about 3.5H (100 - 30%), with no heavy use, no eco mode and 90HZ. (mostly just spotify, whatsapp and Instagram).
Furthermore, when looking at the battery statistics for for instance yesterday, firefox has used 42,61% of my battery. However, this is calculated in the analyses to 601mAH of battery. 601 is obviously not 42% of the 4000maH battery the phone should have, leading me to think there is something wrong with my battery.\
What do you guys think? Send it in for repair?
Factory reset the phone ! And at the start don't install all the apps that you use , mainly Firefox ! And see if the problem persists
Mines not been great either of I'm honest. Seems to be a massive drain from whatever app you use most. Had a big problem with the Google app draining 40%,since gone from clearing it's cache and data.
The stock battery app doesn't seem too accurate aswell so not sure what to make of it.
I would say the battery has improved in the week I've had it though I restrict a lot of apps in the background except the ones I really want notifications for
I have bigger battery decrease in SOT than with screen on.
Google app is always at first place, but also stock launcher in in the top 3.
I don't know why but stock launcher stays always in battery list and uses high resources.
Is there a way to decrease it consumption?
