Hi Guys,
I never made it to brake my screen but today is the first time... since I could not wait for the correct protector to arrive. Now I have the spiderman app on the screen. Its all broken after having fallen down.
Do you guys know, if it is possible to replace on that phone? I havent found a screen on Ali yet, maybe you know something?
Thanks in advance
Matze
Can you show a photo?
Witrigs sells screens, but they're currently out of stock. I don't think spare parts are going to be available for a few more months
Hey,
photos are attached here. Unfortunately on upper end and on lower end it broke. Really sad about it.
Also changing it once available seems rather difficult. I hoped, that it would be sufficient to only remove display side and put in new one but you also have to disassamble the entire back with a lot of components.... very sad

There are pretty much no modern phones in existence that you can just pull the screen off from the front and slide a new one in. It's always been full disassembly.
Can you tell exactly how it broke? From how far it fell and on which angle. What surface it fell on?
Here you can find the spare display. Message them first about it.

Mi10 Ultra screen replacement
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem than you.
I tried to find a display to replace mine.
I found 2 websites vopmart ans cellspare.
You can find on Youtube how to replace it.
To be honest I did not order the display yet.
I sent an email to the websites to be sure it is for Mi 10 Ultra and in stock. Unfortunately I did not receive any answer.
As I don t know those website I am not so confident. The reviews are not so good.
Let me know if you find a solution. I will continue my research and keep you posted.
Thank you
Ivan

Sorry bro for your loss
Eventually it is just phone, and as any other tool it can be fixed. So, bro, just take it easy!
Stock protective case seems to be adequate. It should be ok in most cases. How did you drop it?
me too
I too was unfortunate enough to break the display of my phone. Honestly im really surprised just how easy the screen broke as it had a case on it and fell from about knee height. Anyway i emailed vopmart and was assured the display was original part so i ordered it and it arrived less than two weeks later. I took it to a local repair shop who fitted the screen, they advised that the phone would need to be sent to their specialist repair centre so would take a few days.
When I got the phone back I noticed right away that the finger print scanner was not working or even registering with the phone. I took the phone back and the person in the shop did not seem very knowledgable about this and stated that when apple screens are replaced, the finger print sensor will no longer work. I am very doubtful that this applies to this phone as i’ve read many others replacing Xiaomi screens with finger print scanner working as new. Could this be a software related issue i.e. if i factory reset the phone perhaps it would register the newly installed hardware, or is this likely to be hardware related i.e. finger print sensor cannot be replaced or something?
I also noted that the wireless charging was no longer working as well so im not sure if this has just been an issue with the reassembly during the repair or something else. The phone itself has been sent away to try and get to the bottom of the wireless charging issue but the guy in the shop did not seem very optimistic about the finger print scanner. As far as im aware the scanner is built into the display so it should definitely be there regardless of the phone recognising it or not, or am i wrong?
Sorry for the long post, I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to the hardware side of phones. Any advice on this would be appriciated.
I broken mine as well
Ok quick feedback. So I was able to order on VOPMART and got it for around 200 bucks to Germany without custom or duty problems via the EU Express shipping method. I heated up the back and got the cover away without bigger problems. Took apart the obvious parts (quite a lot to take apart)
With the display unfortunately, I heated up but the glue is very strong which isnt a big problem since it is broke anyways. Unfortunately when I slit the tool to disassemble in i unfortunetly cut the sensor cable for the finger print sensor, so now i am not able to use the fingerprint sensor anymore. Se be really careful there when taking appart the screen (I guess its best to just break the glas and take it appart from inside.)
After putting the new display on you have to get the cable through the mainboard which is also a little tricky but you do not need to take the entire mainboard out - its sufficient to lift it a little bit to get the wire through. Then put everything back together and voila - everything worked again beautifully only without the finger print sensor....

Hello, I recently broke my Mi 10 Ultra screen and used your recommendation of purchasing from VopMart. I took it to a store to have them do it professionally and advised them to be careful of the finger print sensor cable. He told me the phone was repaired without any damages. Even the finger print cable was salvaged....I turn on the phone and the finger print sensor doesn't work. I'm not sure if the dude was lying to me.....or if the screen is faulty.....or if I need to do a factory data reset so the mother board can recogonize the new connection maybe. Any help would be appreciated. I really like to have the in screen finger print sensor.

The charging port would be awesome since mine is definitely gone but from all the dissambly videos i've seen it seems the charging port is on the motherboard Mine still charges but passes no data\usb commandos so no fastboot or adb

Hi I just broke my mi 10 ultra's screen 2 days ago, i ve given for repairing and after the screen replacement i too am facing the same problem of the finger print scanner. First wen i checked it out i thot tht its the replacement screen, so then i thot of registering my finger again to the scanner but when i reached to the registering screen the previous data was already on it. Then to top it all the scanner on the screen would only blink for less than a second and just vanish from the screen. i seriously dont know whats the problem here. do u have an answer to this???

I'm gutted. Somehow my Diamond has got this oily liquid underneath the screen in the centre of the screen. It's come from nowhere?? I haven't got it wet, have always used a screen protector, etc but now it's as if it has escaped from somewhere inside the phone and is now sitting between the digitizer and the glass underneath. Where on earth does this come from? Has anyone known this to happen to other HTC's? I guess it has come from the LCD. God only knows how this happened, I treat my Diamond with a lot of care. I tried to take some photos for you guys to show you what I mean but it was pointless, you can only see this oil slick when the light reflects off the screen so it's hard to actually capture that in a photo. Just imagine an oil slick underneath the screen that moves around when you touch it with your finger. Oh yeah, and now my digitizer is inaccurate all the time. Actually I made a little picture to at least try and illustrate (sorry I suck at paintbrush)
I'm a bit worried that I'm going to end up with one of those ****ty yellow-tint replacement LCD's. My friend bought a touch pro the other day and he ended up with one of these screens, and believe me, they are A JOKE. The look *pitiful*. If this happens it's byebye Diamond and byebye HTC. Just on 6 months old this thing and been treated with nothing but absolute care. I might even do the unthinkable and get an iphone now I hear that TomTom is on it's way over there.. Wow I guess I must be really pissed off, lol..

Have same problem
I used hair dryer but it is there still.
all i can say is that not always and only looking from a certain angle i have the same square stain you describe. i thought i am the only one....
the strange thing is that looking now at the screen everything looks OK (the stain is not there) but i remember seeing the stain in many occasions in the past. maybe is temperature related and right now is morning here and i didn't start using my device yet.
i'll keep an eye on this thread.
i also take good care of my device and use a screen protector.
Finaly some out there with the same problem as me
I have the idea that it could be the result of presure to the screen!
...you get the same "oilish" look when you press a finger on the screen!
...

Yes, exactly, staring at the screen normally, I cannot see it. But, when the light hits it, I can see it very much.
And, now when tapping the screen instead of feeling that cushioned kind of effect, it's now really hard and the taps with the stylus are much louder than what they were before. It's like the previously trapped 'oil' actually gave a softening effect, but now it has escaped or whatever, and it feels like I am tapping glass, or something equally as hard. But we all know the glass is a couple layers deep, and there is the soft digitizer and also the screen protector between that glass and the stylus. Now it feels like those extra layers are not even there. I can barely use the horizontal scrollbars now as the stylus is inaccurate in a lot of areas on the screen, but not all, and not all the time. (?) Even after a re-calibration the problem is not going away. Dialling a number takes several attempts due to missed numbers, and other niggly annoying things you can imagine. Hmmm. I wonder how many people have this but have not noticed yet?
Please post here is you have this problem, guys! Remember to look at your screen with an overhead light directly bouncing off your screen and into your eyes. Then you will see the oil slick effect. And when in the position you can touch the screen with your finger and see the oily liquid move around. Please let us know if you have this problem, thanks.
probably from heat/humidity. happens with my atom exec
Hi guys,
i don't have Diamond but sometimes check Diamond forum.
I thin that the problem you are referring to, also occured on some of the HTC Touches(Elfs).
Check this thread(post #106 has some ample pics):

P.S. I don't know if they managed to solve the screen smudge issue.
Cheers.

I think its related to what the screen reflects, because sometimes i see it to and sometimes i don't, now i have a LCD Computer Screen from samsung and if i use the phone at home i don't see the 'oil', if i place my phone in the right direction so that it reflects the screen i will see the screen reflected part with the 'oil' ,so if i hold it so that my LCD screen appears for 50% on my screen(y-ax) and the other 50 percent of the diamond reflects a wall or something, i only see the 'oil' at that part that reflects my LCD screen...
Now this isn't only with my LCD screen, the roof @ my school does the same thing, some kind of walls, etc.
whoa, that's really weird, I just noticed that on my Diamond while sat at my desk...! I'm sure I would have seen it before now, but who knows... It's only visible under certain light though (flourescent seems to be the worst). Its presence doesn't appear to affect the digitizer and can't actually see it when the backlight's on...
I had exactly the same problem. Called HTC logged as a fault .. New screen replaced under warranty . Very impressed !
Its the touch screen touching the LCD ... A known probelm to HTC so give them a call
Thanks for all your replies everyone
My touch screen is really hard to use now so shouldn't be a problem getting it replaced, I hope!
I will call our HTC repairer Monday then let you know how it goes, thanks!
oil in the center of screen
ahhh I just noticed the same oily substance on my diamond too!! so whats the deal ?!
Wow I have the same problem too...don't see it directly but when I tilt it at certain angle I can see it. I will give HTC a call and hopefully they will help me replace the screen.
Mines the same
Just sent off for repair with t mobile
Nice to know I can direct them here if they decide to say it's not a common problem so I must have done it
Got it here too!
screen went really bad touching one area say opens different links in opera or anyother app.
will be in touch with orange and point them to this thread........cant beat XDA devs!!
the same problem but who to call
hi guys
just wanted to ask
i am from israel and bought the diamond on ebay from a store in the states
who can i call?
htc will probably want me to ship it to them
and then i will be without a phone for a month
what should i do?
Me too!! Ditto!
I got the same problem too!!!! And OMG....soo many ppl have it too!! This is crazy.....its like some mass defective shipment or something! I have the same oily patch on my elfin. And my digitizer is new....its barely been 2 months!! I had it replaced coz I accidentally cracked the last one. Though it doesn't seem to be affecting the screen calibration or any of the screen accuracy. I hope its not like a problem that aggravates into something else altogether (fingers crossed).
Have the same problem with my diamond. Will send it to HTC repair center in austria a few days past christmas.
merry christmas !

Same problem on my Touch HD (Blackstone)
Got my Touch HD less than 4 weeks ago and noticed a small oliy patch (size a 5p coin) in the bottom after a few days. Sometimes the patch was visible and sometimes not. It has now progressed to a rectangle of about 1 inch by 3 inch. I noticed it can hardly be seen with normal light bulbs or outside, but under certain light conditions like our special lighting in the office (some natural, blue light bulbs) AND energy saving light bulbs it is very obvious and annoying.
I have no idea how it happened as I had 3 other HTC touch screen devices in the past without this problem. I am carrying my phone in my trouser back pocket, but I think it does not bend it enough to cause this. Another suspicion (guess of mine) is the screen protector itself. I am wondering that maybe the temp difference between protector and screen was too large and when it contracted it pulled away the upper layer of the touch screen?
I am attaching a bmp that shows the patch on the phone.
I have now contacted BuyMobilePhones.net where I bought the phone and after being wrongly asked to contact Orange for a fault code, I have sent it to them for repair/replacement. I hope I will get it back next week. Until then I will use my Artemis / O2 XDA Orbit 2.
The other day, I noticed my phone stopped ringing, but was still vibrating. I did everything that I could to try to get the phone to play sound through the external speaker, but I got nothing. I eventually did the ODIN 1 click to restore and I'm still getting no sound. I took the phone apart to check to see if the speaker cable was loose, but everything is in tact...
Does anyone know what Samsung support is like? I loved being able to take my iPhone into any Apple store to get it swapped out for any issues. Is it the same with the Captivate and any AT&T store? I bought the phone from Best Buy.
How long has it been since you got the phone? Since you bought it from best buy I'm guessing you should take it there first if anywhere. They might swap you for a new one within 30 days of the purchase, but that's just a general warranty dealy that may not apply to phones. In any case I'd hit best buy first, because unless you bought it from the at&t store, I'm not sure If they'd help you that much as far as replacements go.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
take off the battery cover and press down on the speaker.
Best buy will replace the phone within the 30 day buyers remorse period.
After that you have to go through AT&T Warranty dept (not the store). They will advance you a refurb phone, and give you stuff to send back.
On that note hopefully you are within 30 days so you get a brand new phone from BB.
I just had this happen to me for the first time today, and pushing hard on the speaker fixes it for me, too. For now. Not a good sign. I think today is my 29th day...gotta make a quick decision. Time to read up on restoring to factory default...I've rooted and lagfixed this guy.

i've got a replacement captivate now, but my old one did that once. no sound at all. i rebooted and it came back though.
Same problem
I am having exactly the same problem does anyone know how to fix it? :S i root it yesterday and tried the lag fix thingy.
I had the same problem. It happened on the night of the 29th day of owning the phone, the next day I took it to the closest AT&T Warranty Exchange center (or whatever they call it) and got a new phone.
I had this happen to me a few weeks ago, lucky for me it had only been like two weeks since I had bought the phone. I got it from At&t and just went back there and they gave me a new one. Does anyone know what causes this?
Fixed
I had the same problem...had tried the Odin One-Click restore, tried restoring, and several other things.
Do what VZSpyder says above...remove the battery cover and press down on the speaker. It immediately started working.
<<-- also a victim of the speaker issue. Pressing down on it has worked for about a month now. But the whole issue is a sign of larger problems I feel plague this handset.
I learned the hard way not to trust this thing as an alarm clock when the speaker glitch started showing itself.
The Samsung captivate has been by far the most problem prone phone or PDA I have had in my possession since 2002.
Actually, I haven't found any activity I can truly trust this phone to perform. It seems to randomly be unable to fulfill every task it is theoretically capable of.
Solutions to Captivate Speaker Issue
Ok, so I had my Samsung Captivate speaker cut out entirely last night and was, needless to say, very disappointed. However, I still believe it is a good phone, I cling to this notion despite the ribbing I took from my friends when the speaker cut out during a YouTube video. Grrrr... Anyway, and more to the point, what follows is my fix.
First, I pressed firmly on the speaker as suggested by many bloggers and the speaker started working again. Hooray! However, like many Captivate owners, I find this temporary fix, "unacceptable on principle alone." Ever the tinkerer and problem-solver, I thought there must be a low-tech solution to this issue as it appears to be related to the small 16mm x 5mm speaker unit’s unseen electronic contacts.
I thought: “If only there were a way to provide constant gentle pressure to the speaker unit without interfering with its performance or voiding the phone’s warranty, gentle but firm pressure that would stabilize the speaker unit and perhaps add a level of protection from vibration.” Here is what I came up with and I believe that it is quite possibly the lowest cost solution ever stumbled upon by a mere mortal.
I took one small "3M Command™ Strip," of the 16mm width variety associated with 3M's wonderful "Damage-Free Hanging Wall Solution" collection of devices. At one end of each Command™ Strip there is a 5mm section of the strip that is sticky on one side, the so-called “wall-side,” while the other side is adhesive free. I cut this end off producing a 5mm wide and 16mm long strip which has friendly adhesive only on one side. I then cut that strip to produce one 2mm wide and one 3mm wide strip exactly 16mm long.
Since the speaker unit is about 16mm long and 10mm wide, I then applied the 2mm x 16mm strip at the outermost boundary of the top of the speaker unit (closest to the camera lens) and the 3mm x 16mm strip at the outermost boundary at the bottom of the unit (closest to the battery). This seems to leave the tiny speaker grill, roughly 5mm wide, unimpeded and once the metal cover is put back in place it could, in theory, provide enough gentle pressure on the speaker unit to stabilize it and perhaps prevent a loss of electrical contact in the event of vibration and associated shifting or, God forbid, a small drop.
Stupid Speakers...
I have a similar problem with my Captivate's sound. Randomly, the sound will drop to almost nothing, though it is still audible if you put it right up to your ear.... Just barely.
It seems to "fix" itself if I gently tap the phone or drop it on a table or something... Could this be something similar? Perhaps electrical connections not being seated firmly?
it IS an electrical connection not sitting correctly.
press firmly on the left area beside the grill.
or take back for warranty.
if you dont have warranty, open it up press the connection back down and apply a peice of scotch tape over it.
Replacement doesn't help. I've got a new speaker put in by samsung .and 2days later. Same thing. I just havea small piece of paper behind the back plate to keep pressure on it.works well

I had the same thing happen to me. I just took it back and got another one. A little tip for those that don't like this or any other phone for that mater.
If you phone is still under warranty call/take it in 3 times. After 3 times you can request a different phone. Just be sure to pick one that is atleast as good or better.
I have used this method to get pseudo free upgrades for years now.

Hey guys,
My phone is Xperia V as many of you might know.. It fell out of my pocket last night.
The upper screen above the Sony logo got a little crack, but that's not the thing i'm worried about..
The bottom of the screen became unresponsive :/
Bad luck i guess. The screen displays perfect, it is just unresponsive to touch inputs.
Also, i'm out of warranty. Not only cause my bootloader is unlocked, the warranty period ended 4 months ago.
(relocked bootloader and reverted to stock, still nothing)
Look at this quick image if you don't know what i mean:

I honestly don't think there's an easy solution myself, but just thought of creating a thread anyway who knows..
What to do?
3 months ago, my xv fell out of my pocket too and upper screen above the Sony logo got cracked and my screens upper part became unresponsive I took it to repair center, and the found out that the touch input was broked. Because xv uses sensor on lens, I had to replace both screen & touch input together. It cost me about 100 dollars.

Were you under warranty when yours stopped working?
And thanks for the response mate

Yep, cracked mine a while ago, and it renders whole touch screen useless unlike some other phones. Managed to replace it myself, fiddley but do-able if you have some experience in taking phones apart.
really seems to be a hardware problem....maybe the colonel can give a little hint on how to repair it.

U can operate your phone with mouse over OTG cable. Using a mouse, go to developer options and enable show touches. I saw some touch points upper of my screen around the cracked area. Btw, I was not under warranty.
Thanks for the help y all, i am taking it to the service center today, let's see what they have to say. In case repairing is too expensive, i will do it manually.

Yeah, this is what i need.. but do i need to choose a specific one? I don't know much about screens, but do i take the risk of getting a cheap TMD panel? Or does LCD screens have nothing to do panels? @colonel_lp

The digitizer and LCD are one, so yes you do take the risk of getting a cheap panel. There are many on ebay, i looked for one that had a similar code on the back to mine, which was a Sharp panel. I don't remember the code now...
The phone comes apart really easily, apart from the hardest part of getting the old screen off, (a real PITA). I used a hairdryer and much patience and shattering of glass (wear safety goggles). Clean it up really well, and you will also need to get some 3M double sided adhesive tape to stick the new one back on(really really thin strips). I would suggest assembling the phone and trying to see if the screen works before sticking it in place..
Let me know if you need any more advice.

I'm at this point now, i guess it safe to.. try to get the old screen off? Any more advice before i start?

Just take it really slowly and lots of repeated heat with a hairdryer, and something really thin to pry it off that wont damage the plastic parts.
Good Luck.

I got it off at last.. the screen is now completely unusable though.
I've looked for the adhesive tape and found two. When you say "really thin strips" do you mean 1mm or 3mm?

It depends on which part, you need different for different places. you can see what fits. I think i bought a sheet and cut pieces from it with a very sharp knife and put them in place. But strips will work also.
@NuriJ
Have you solve this? My dropped today and my upper part of screen became irresponsible.
Did you buy the new LCD and digitizer or only the digitizer? I thought, that in this phone it is only one part, but I saw some offers on ebay where were only digitizers.
Can you please tell where did you bought it?
Thanks

First do this - Take the phone apart, then disconnect the digitizer (you don't need to take the screen off to do this).
The digitizer has a small connector on it - Disconnect that too. Now reconnect both. Then power on your phone.
screen works > good for you
screen still dead > bad luck
I would highly recommend getting the LCD and digitizer in one. HOWEVER getting the screen + front cover is much easier as you don't need to take the old screen off and stick the new one back on (not that easy). And + you would only need to move the hardware.
FYI; If you have the 'sharp' type of display now, i recommend getting the 'sony' display (much better colors and contrast).
Sony displays have a somewhat similar code to this on the back: Z181FF0013

I have(had) the display from sony, this is why I was thinking about the digitizer only. So the display and the digitizer can split up? But I guess that I will need both parts because of the crack on the glass.
I can not find any offers where the code can be seen on the internet. But I will try to look closer.
Anyway, thanks for the tip with disconnecting and connecting the digitizer, I will definitely try it.
EDIT: Did you find any good disassembling guide?
EDIT2: Bad luck
This is the desired code? http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Sony-Xp...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item2c7cc7b012

Yes, that's it. The display and digitizer can be split up, but i don't think i would mess with that..
Keep in mind that some uses pictures from sharp panels even though it's sony. Better ask for the code to be sure.
And also someone from another thread said that the phone most likely would not be waterproof after replacing the screen. . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2169802
There's most likely disassembling guides on youtube, have a look at them
****! Just dropped my new sony display, which I had been waiting for weeks
Opened the box, took it out of the plastic and after a few minutes - dropped it and the digitizer died.
I wonder how tf that happened. Totally unbelievable and i just bought the tape some days ago. Also i won't know if it broke during shipping or after i dropped it

Hi,
Im curious if anyone here knows how the Note 4 knows when the spen is detached. I had my phone apart to re attache the screen which the flex cables fell off the motherboard of after I dropped it.
Now my phone doesn't detect the spen. I can not find anything on the motherboard that is not attached. Everything looks like its in proper order.
Is there a physical lever or something that the spen should be depressing which tells the hone that the spen is attached?
Thanks for your help
It is a sensor that is in the motherboard next to the spen

Thank you for your speedy reply. I do know that piece is still in my phone. I'm going to take it back apart to see if somehow that piece has been disconnected from the motherboard. eghhh. which most likely means I have to take the screen back off after I applied all that double stick tape...
Do you have any idea how that piece is connected to the motherboard? Flex cable?

I was thinking that could be the problem. THe phone dropped form about 10 feet onto a tile floor. I couldn't believe the screen didn't shatter however it wouldn't turn on because the flex cables popped off the motherboard.
DO you know if this is a serviceable piece? or if the only way to fix this is to replace the motherboard? which in case Ill live with the phone not being able to detect the spen removal

You gotta contact Samsung for part number and price and also to see if it comes apart or with board. I very shock just cables popped off. U got lucky. Before spending any money find the dialer code to test all sensors. See if it even worth it.
BAD ASS NOTE 4
I took the phone apart again.
That white rubber piece is nothing more than a bumper. There is absolutely nothing attached to it. I pulled it out, and put it back in.
I'm wondering if something is wrong with the actual s-pen sensor (thin liner that's behind the screen)... but from everything that I have seen that sensor is just for the spen when you write on the screen. I have no problems with the screen detecting the s pen
My guess is that You're right... The spen detector broke during the fall.. I guess its some kind of proximity sensor .
If anyone else has any information on how the Note4 detects when the spen is removed please chime in!
Thanks again.

I know this is an old post but I spent all night searching for the same problem and I thought others may do the same. Here is the sensor that detects removal s pen insertion and removal. Picture attached to this post.
Sorry, wrong pic
I discovered I "knocked" a couple of "parts" off of that sensor when I removed my screen with my spudger [emoji35] . Anyway, the button still works but it doesn't light up anymore.
HAHA unbelievable. I just had the same problem, saw this thread with no solution, figured it out myself, and got on to post the solution after I got back from being out of town for Christmas only to find someone else beat me to it on a 2 yr old thread! Anyway, I can confirm this is correct. When removing the screen, I slightly cut into the flex cable connecting the sensor to the board and my spen detection stopped. I ordered a new (tmobile) note 4 charging dock on ebay for $6 and after the replacement everything works like it should.

Lmao! I know right?! I'm tracking mine now. DHL is carrying it from California so no telling when it will reach me here in Arkansas. I found no solution on line so I began to investigate on my own (that college degree in electronics comes in handy once in a while heehee). I was just about to start probing around (blindly of course since I have no schematic) when I notice a tiny chip stuck in the adhesive of the right soft key pad. That's when I realized what had happened and how it happened. This thread was old but it came in at the top of the list every time I searched using the word "s pen" in my search, no matter what I used as my key phrase haha. One thing I know for certain is that our Note 4's have a superior s pen sensor design over the Note 5 ??

The replacement usb board I ordered seemed to have the sensor missing. May be a good idea to check that it is there before installing.
I have LETV X800 US version. Drop from 1.5 cracked the glass really nice (see attachment). I am thinking to order screen replacement from here: http://www.vopmart.com/pa1013251.html or here: http://s.aliexpress.com/iemyi2Yz
Do you think it is compatible with my US version of the phone.
I guess it should work on both CN & US but I need to ask before ordering.

I also have the same problem.
Hi
Did you find a solution to your problem ? I also have the same and I do not find the necessary help.
Thank you for your answer
In my reading the screen replacement should work on both US and CN versions....
The screen of this phone is subpar to current phone standards. Mine cracked when dropped at 30 cm from tiled floor after 3 months of use! The phone was house into its original silicone transparent protection, with a glass protection on top! The glass protection didn't brake, only the screen underneath did. I had it replaced for the equivalent of 30 euros in China in a general phone fixing shop, and made clear I did not want an original replacement. They guy came up with a good quality screen, slightly thicker than the original. I have used it without problems for 8 months now. It withstood about 4 falls from 1 meter each, but I keep the phone housed in a metal frame protection since then. The original case is bad since it doesn't protect the phone all around as it should.
I bought the screen from vopmart.
Price is ok, delivery was fast (less than a week to Germany).
Disassembly of screen was actually easier than in the videos, works pretty well.
The BIG problem was (which I did not really realize or ignore until then)...the vopmart screen replacement did NOT come with the adhesive to glue the screen to the phone.
Since I was impatient and wanted to use the phone right away, I used some own tape and glue and damaged the screen in the process.
Bottom line:
- Screen replacement is relatively simple and screen is not too expensive
- make sure you double check that the adhesive is included in the screen you order or order separately, otherwise you will not be able to replace the screen
- I second what the previous poster said....my phone fell from about 70cm and the screen was cracked pretty badly, previous phones did survive this
I bought a Xiaomi phone now. I hope/think build quality is a bit better and, more importantly, you are not stuck with Android 5...
I'm planning to order screen on Aliexpress. I want to ask you that, is your screen's colors or quality worse than original? I'm not asking for durability, just asking for quality.

I think it is about the same as the original. I am not 100% sure though since I destroyed it a little during the replacement. And I believe the color quality from the original one is not great to start with anyway.

So I have ordered both and have the heat gun, and the pry tools, so technically if I am not a gimp I should be able to complete this successfully.
I am just again slightly confused because some videos recommend removing the back cover and the getting to the front by doing a full disassembly whilst others recommend removing the glass directly.
Has anyone tried both methods? I would understand if you were replacing the battery also but...
Thank you in advance.
I have only tried the "front" method, so just removed the glass from the front. I found this to be pretty easy. I did this with a Sony Xperia phone before and I must say the letv was much easier.
I can recommend removing the glass from the front.
Which one is the front method? What and where did you buy to repair it?

I think you use a heat gun to warm it up and then use a suction cup to loosen it then use a razor blade to cut away the glue/sticker and slowly pry it apart.
Then you detach it, attach the new one apply the sticker and then reseal.

Hello everybody,
The son of my friend break his screen (LeTV one Pro = LeEco x800 Pro).
He bought a replacement screen, but there is no sticker to fix the screen. It's hard to find this part alone.
Can you give me an idea to solve this problem?
Regards.
