Really nice case. Looks nice, it is very slim and has a great greep.
The only thing I am concerned is its margins/edges around the screen. For example factory (transparent) case has edges at the corners, so If you put the phone face down, the screen is not touching the surface.
The edges of carbon fiber case are barely palpable, so if you lay the phone face down I think the chances are high that you will eventually end up getting some scratches depending on surface.
Is there any feedback about this case?
I have original xiaomi flip case for Mi 10 Ultra, the issue is, it does not protect Camera lens.
I have all 3. This case is thinner than factory included case. Camera bump will touch the surface if lay the phone down. But, I apply tempered glass lense protector. Fits perfectly well.
Unfortunately adding optical elements introduces more refraction and increases the chances of ghosting and flaring. Best not to do this... physically protect it with a raised guard instead.
Almost all phones already have built in lense protectors.
Interesting fact, real carbon fiber is an effective radio frequency EM shield; it behaves like solid metal.

Yeah, I would not do it either.
Eventually I had applied hydrogen protection to the screen and switched to carbon fiber case. I like it more than factory/transparent one.

Unfortunately there not a lot of case choices. My favorite case is the Zizo Bolt but no model for these phones.
All screens need some kind of physical protection or they will get scratched.
On an old S4+ with a failing display I tested how long it go before getting scratched, less then 6 months.
With protector 4+ years and no scratches.

I have been using a note 9, for 2 years, last year with no protection. No scratches so far. Well, I am veeery cautious But Gorilla Glass 5 is really good. My wife does not care about her phone that is also GG5, she drops it periodically on concrete floor, carries it with keys of all kinds. No scratches so far. It is really amazing. Basically this example made me remove my protection from my Note 9. Wwll, I paid tribute to Ultra by applying basic protection, but I think I will eventually remove it
^One grain of sand is all it takes.
Keys and coins aren't hard enough... sand is.
Gorilla glass's scratch resistance isn't much better the ordinary glass.

I was asked by the seller to review some cases for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
I have received some of the cases and will be posting my reviews in one thread in both the S7 and S7 Edge forums to keep the information in one place and nice and neat.
They make quite a few cases for both the S7 and S7 Edge so my reviews of the case for one would apply to both versions of the phone.
Pictures will be in the "Click to show content" buttons to maintain a clean thread.
Melkco Ultra thin Superlim Soft TPU for Samsung GalaxyS7 Edge with screen protector (Transparent)
This case is unbelievably thin.
The thickness of this case for the S7 Edge is roughly the same as the distance the camera sticks out from the back of the phone.
I have never seen a case like this before.
The case is crystal clear and will show off the color of your phone, or like mine the dbrand skin on the back.
The case has a slight lip on the front at the top and bottom to prevent scratches on your screen should you lay your phone down screen first.
This case will not add much drop protection, it is to prevent scratches, please do not purchase this thinking it will save your phone from a drop, that is not what it was designed to do.
This case will protect your phone from any scratches and scuffs from the day to day use of your phone.
While doing that it will be basically invisible and add literally no bulk to your phone.
I will add some pictures here of this case on my Titanium Silver S7 Edge with Blue Carbon Fiber skin from dbrand.

Melkco Kubalt Double layer case for Samsung Galaxy S7
I received this case quickly and in good condition.
I purchased the black inner with black outer style case that does not seem to be an option right now.
This case could and should have been a five star case, there was really only one confusing issue with this case.
The top of the case the two cutouts are not quite right.
The cutout for the mic is made at an angle, and while it is placed over the mic, it looks out of place.
There is also an extra cutout in the center of the phone that is unneeded, like it was for an IR blaster that was never put into this version of the phone.
Other than that this is a nice case.
There is a nice soft touch coating over everything that makes this case feel great in hand.
The rest of the cutouts are all perfectly placed and sized.
The soft inner layer should be able to absorb shock from drops and the hard outer layer should be able to take the brunt of a fall.
There is a small lip on the front of the case to prevent you from getting scratches on your screen should you lay your phone down screen first.
If you are looking for a case with impact resistance, great feel in hand, and general protection, this one will do it all.
I will attach some pictures here for you to see this case on my black S7.
**** 4 out of 5 stars ****
More cases are to come soon, I will update this post with new reviews within a week or so.
Has anyone tried this?

Looks very interesting. I wonder how well it works. I beginning to hate how my current screen protector is crinkled on the corners.
Its a replacement oleophobic coating. Oil and fingerprints. It wont protect from scratches.
Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
When I first bought the phone I used it without a case for a short time and there were microscratches all around the front and back. I've never had a phone in recent years that scratches this easily. So I've used the spigen liquid both on the front and back and I haven't seen any new scratches for a while. Then I put a screen protector film both on the front and back to be sure.
So this liquid seemed to protect from microscratches, but don't expect it to protect your phone from anything more than that.
It would provide very minor scratch protection by refreshing your oleophobic coating and making it slick, but like you mentioned, it won't protect from a real scratch.
There are some ceramic clear coatings for automotive paint that would probably provide stronger scratch resistance, but I'll tell you right now, they are DAMN expensive. $70+ an oz.
If you just want to redo/refresh your oleophobic coating, there are cheaper ways. Fusso makes a coating kit for tablets that will last you the lifetime of your phone and probably your next 2 devices as well.
This has the same properties as the ceremic coatings I use for car detailing, it is more than just a coating. It will protect from scratches but understand it will wear off.

Did it cover or hide the previous micro scratches? I recently got a Google Pixel 2 XL and in less than a month i have numerous scratches on the bottom side of the screen, was thinking if this would be able to cover the previous scratches.
For those who have applied, any updates? (now that it a few months old by now)
I am thinking about using it.

I would like to hear any updates on this as well.
I've had this on my S8+ for a month and a half or so.
Applying the "screen protector" was super simple. You just wipe your screen off with one wipe and then apply the coating. All-in-all it took me a minute of application time and I gave it ten minutes to sit before I used the microfiber to wipe off the "excess".
The coating is very hydrophobic, which means basically nothing to me because I don't go around dumping liquids on my phone . It did nothing for my existing micro-scratches, I was hoping that it would fill them in at least a little bit but they're just as bad as they previously were. It seems to help prevent new ones, though. I treat my phone terribly (in and out of my pockets with no case or other screen protection) and I haven't noticed any new scratching since I applied the coating. With that being said, I'm not convinced that it would stand up to anything that would result in major scratching. If I were more concerned about the safety of my phone I would definitely be looking at getting a traditional screen protector or a good case.
I'm surprised at how good this screen protector is. It comes with a plastic guide that goes on your phone and makes sure the glass lines up perfectly. It comes with 2 kits that include wet and dry cleaning cloths, dust removal stickers, and the glass screen protectors.
This package also includes a protective sticker for the back of the phone. I'm using a case, so I'm not going to use the sticker, but it's nice that they included it.
Finger print scanner works like normal. My phone case fits like normal and I can barely see that there's a screen protector on my phone. This is a way better purchase than I expected. Much higher quality than I expected.
The only thing I'm unsure of is the protector for the camera. I haven't been able to test it out in daylight to see if it shows up in the photos. Only 1 lens protector is included. My case sort of protects the lenses, so worst case I just remove the lens protector.

Do you guys realize it's kinda pointless to use screen protectors on Gorilla Glass 5, not to mention camera lens which is covered with sapphire glass.. you wouldn't be able to scratch it even if you tried.
i am more worried about dropping it, that amoled costs about half the phone in here
From where are you guys buying screen protector for this device?

Thanks for this tip, exactly as you described. Usually these things end up in the bin. Didn't even need to re do finger print , no rainbowing, full adhesive. Top notch. Sacked of camera piece as didn't take but wasn't bothered anyway.
I can't appreciate on the pictures, is it with frame or clear edges?

Glass is all clear, no frames.
I also have this screen protector. No need to manual adjust the screen protector just put the guide on your phone then place the screen protector. Voila, perfect fit!
Best combination for me is this screen protector + xundd beatle case.

Mostly online, it is available in amazon for like 10 US dollars. Here in the Philippines it only costs 8 US dollars.
Hi all !
Also bought this glass kit and must say first impression is positive compared with hydrogel foil and some noname glass.
Transparent, no fingerprint, great feeling under finger, case friendly cut BUT view screwed when wear polarised sunglasses.
This is not a simple 9h protection glass, it is a complete kit !!!
There comes a beautiful plastic box that contains: 2 protective glasses for the Mi9 lite, 2 protective glasses for the rear cameras, two cleaning kits for the pre-installation display, two bottles of liquid for the positioning of the cam protection slides and finally a practical plastic frame that guides the installation of 9h glass.
The instructions are very clear: clean the screen with the appropriate kit, place the guide frame on the phone, take the 9H glass, remove the protection of the "adhesive" side and simply placing it in the guide frame this is adsorbed by the display in perfect way without some bubbles. The glass covers the entire display except about 1 mm above and below leaving a small "gotch" for the front cam. It is fairly oleophobic and no sensitivity is lost to the touch screen nor does it create problems with the front imprint. I would buy it again with my eyes closed ... in fact ... there is no need because there are 2 glasses of glass !!!

Where can we buy it??
I think it's this one

Its almost pointless to have these types of glass protections on already toughened screen and camera glass. I'd buy a leather case for the phone instead because if you drop the phone on a hard surface, the scratches would be the least of your worries.
It may eventually get sand-like scratches overtime but they are not noticeable at all unless you look by side with screen off at light, there are a thousand more chances to the break the screen than getting a noticeable scratch on it.
Still up to you to use or not.
I bought cheapest one to try out, I have yet to apply it.

I understand where you guys are coming from but, I did an experiment with my Redmi Note 7 vs all other cell phones I've owned in the past....I put a tempered glass on it.
So far, I've replaced 4 tempered glass protectors ( in the year and a half I've had this phone) due to cracks.
My child ran at me full speed to give me a hug at dance class while I was sitting down...that was crack #1...other times 2-4, were accidents where a heavy object either fell on my screen or I dropped the phone face down breaking the protectors.
Each time I wondered what would happen if this were the actual glass itself?! I don't want to know!!!!
Did the protectors pay for themselves several times....HELL YES!!!
I know I didn't want to deal with replacing broken screens etc.
I can and have done these repairs numerous times in the past with other phones.
This time I am proud to say I have and never will have to repair my still flawless phone or screen due to:
1. Having a good time glass cover immediately from day 1 (Teebo brand)
2. Having my phone in a case also immediately from day 1
Is that extreme... probably but I can attest that the next owner I sell my phone to will be happy the phone is near mint condition as a result...as always YMMV
I bought this case and screen protector from their official site. if anybody is going to get it, pay attention to the screen protector installation instructions. the screen protector, if applied correctly, is hardly noticeable. its smooth for the touch but if you scratch it with four fingers it creates a gouge that disappear after a while (depends on how deep the scratch is). i don't like it as much as i like glass protectors, but its better than nothing since i got the impression that the glass protectors are not playing nice with the fingerprint sensor. other than that it is a solid case as far as i can tell. i had a cheap clear TPU case until i recieved this case. the TPU case is so tough and big that the device felt like those anti tank rugged phones. the ringke is much more elegant and refined on the edges, i like it and recommend it. i had ringke on my nexus 4 and it was and still holding on without disintegrating in the test of time.

This is the case I ordered and I'm looking forward to getting it tomorrow, didn't get it with a screen protector tho. Hopefully it's a good case either way
ringke make awesome case, I been using them for years...I love their loop hole design for lanyard...cant beat it for 14 bucks
I ran that screen protector for like 2 days and it started to peel, fp reader didn't work with it either
Absolutely loving the case! So much grip! It also looks premium so that's nice too

i think if you are using it without case or with case that has almost no lips, then you might peel the protector from the swiping actions. Mine is still pristine for almost 2 weeks, with a ringke case obviously
Case looks ok, however I like better if there is all around extra lifting for protecting the screen. I am using Spigen Liquid Air, nothing special it protects. Using on P6 as well and already smashed the phone on concrete several times when felt out from pocket during riding motorbikes). Unfortunately, Speck does not make Presidio Grip case for Pixel 7 that would be my no 1 choice.
Screen protection: Reminds me for L&K protectors, but biggest downside that will pill up from sides (depends on case) over time. There are similar non glass protectors using GEL to stick properly to screen, those will not pill up easily. Got on P6 like that, and still holds after a year usage.
Possibly the best case for this device, bought off your recommendation and loving it. Why other cases not covering the camera visor the same exact way?....
Just ordered the case based on the reviews here and in the webpage. I also ordered the camera tempered glass protector. Currently, I have the Spigen rugged armor case and Spigen glass screen protector
