Hi,
You can run the teeter game. It's taking full advatange of diamond's accelerometer.
My set is also a preowned set. Still in a very mint condition.
I suggest you to check the basic functionality, buzzer, buttons, touch screen, bluetooth, wifi, gps, camera. Don't forget to check the USB port and all accessories.
Hope this helps.

hello everyone.
i am the new proud (debatable) owner of the htc touch diamond gadget (cause thats what it is - a glorified phone).
before the diamond i had (and still do) a 1st generation iphone.
some of the issues with the iphone that made me get the diamond are:
- no bluetooth file transfer
- no flash (ya i know the diamond has no flash but no problem)
- loses network connectivity a lot! (currently on 2.2)
- no sms message forwarding
- the interface is really annoying ... screw apple's design. i find it very lame and very unfriendly
Now. ... being that the diamond has (1)wm6.1 and (2) a smaller screen i'd expect the developers to englarge the fonts / dialog boxes... but no they made everyone so damn time that even when i try to tap with my pinkly finger i cant get accurate results.
Problem 1
from the first time and until now whenever i do screen calibration it makes me go through the darn thing like 3 or more times. i am hitting the stupid cross right in the center .. i dont know if its not regestering it or not. i also have to apply lots of pressure... its frustrating.
Problem 2
being that i live in the middle east i require an arabic keyboard.
thank God HTC provided an arabic firmware that has the keyboard and the fonts. no more paying extra.
the problem is: the arabic keyboard is VERY tiny.
the english keyboard on the other hand comes in all varities and is beautiful ...
is there no way to make the arabic keyboard bigger ???
other than those two issues everything else is A ok. (for now)
Thank you!
as far as i am concerned in relation to problem 1..it can be furstrating sometimes, when you tap the screen hold on to the cross till it starts moving and then follow...try to get used to it. It is pretty basic
in relation to number 2...Be patient it has only been out a while and I am sure one of the boys is working on it...I would suggest you to start a new thread requesting bigger arabic keyboard and some will tune in

...are you hitting the cross with your finger, 'cos the screen calibration is designed for the stylus - this hasn't changed from the early days. Come to think of it, neither has the boring calculator UI... thank you XDA!!

offtopic question: how come iphone has no screen calibration?
Hi there all Shift owners !
I just want to share this great new software that i found , if u hv not seen it yet , u can download d free slim version to try it out , feels n looks good to me. it works on my shift with xp tablet . the full version is much better at usd29 . see :- www.bumptop.com or search google for bump top .
see n read the whole thing , also see it's video or from you tube , something new for all touchscreen user to explore - i would say , thks for reading n cheers to all u shiftonians - jimmunsw
I had a go on this with my touch screen on XP with a early alpha and the beta, it's good, but at the time it was far too unstable, killing explorer on a regular basis and some basic functions were actually made harder.
However with the multitouch functionality it could be fantastic. Will have to try it again when I can get touch working on 7.
Hey there,
Does anyone also own a Freedom Pro Keyboard ? It works to install the ****ty Firmware but i cannot connect the Keyboard with, so that the User defined Shortcuts are unable to manage .
They (according to their FAQ) know the Problem, but their solve doesnt
work.
So my question to you guys is if you solved this problem.
thx a lot for any helpful answers
I have had nothing but trouble with Freedom keyboards - I tried the Freedom Pro, but I could only get it to do the basic keyboard functions with my HD2, no special buttons or characters. I sold it to my wife who uses it with her Blackberry without any problems at all - possibly this is an issue with WM becoming defunct, developers can't be bothered to produce proper software for the platform any longer.
I remember I had issues with the Universal 2 before that - again, it works ok as a basic keyboard with the HD2, but both keyboards actually stopped working if I loaded the proper drivers!!
Unfortunately, with the departure of Stowaway/iGo, Freedom are in a monopoly position in this market.
Bottom line - if you want a basic keyboard of a good size and ease of use, it's ok, but don't imagine you are going to get fancy features based on my experience.

Ok, thx anyway for information ..
i bought it because of the ability to define Shortcuts
i think i sell it on ricardo / Ebay ..
but i've seen some other Keyboards somewhere in a I-net-Shop.
so hopefully i will find some handy Gear
update:
is it possible to inactivate the WM HID Software ?
maybe this would help .. or try another Bluetooth Stack ?
ok again update:
maybe they fixed something, but i downloaded a few minutes ago
the Firmware (its the File for Broadcomm BT Stack, message to all noobs like i am
installed it again and , hey , it works !!
thx because i was going to be angry ....!!
