What is it about the Nexus phone that wanting me to keep coming back...
I bought it when it first came out on the Google store. After a few months of using it, I traded for the LG G2. The G2 is nice and all but it is not as smooth as the Nexus for sure. So, I traded to Nexus 5 again.. After another month of using, I traded for the HTC M8. The M8 is nice build but with a case on, no one notice any different. I can not even deposit checks to my bank using the M8 camera. So now I thinking of coming back to the Nexus again..
Just wondering if anyone in the same situation like me..

i think you should ask yourself: Why the hell i keep buying every phone that comes out?
i've been though like 6 phones in the past year <.<
had the nexus 5 twice and just sold it again cause I managed to get a OnePlus one
I think we all love the nexus mainly because how easy it is to upgrade, customize and because its really the best deal.
I sold the note 3 to get n5 and n7 2013.
I can't complain at all.
Best thing about it is they are light way and easy to develop for
Nexus5 usually is the best on XDA for Development and Fun
I'm personally thinking of getting rid of my N5 and getting the M8..
I've thought about buying several phones since owning the N5 since launch day. I like gadgets. But I've saved myself the grief and just held on to the N5 as I've played with all the 'latest greatest' flagships (sans the 1+1) and still to this day there is not a smoother snappier Android device than the mighty N5. This phone has spoiled me bad with its stutter-free blazing fast operation. It's going to take one hell of a device to get me to upgrade
I decided to get m8, couldn't be happier. Although the Nexus 5 was and is a nice phone I find the battery to be mediocre. If it wasn't for the battery I doubt I would have picked up the m8

I will say I periodically go back to N5 and am reluctant to sell. I will soon...as I need to handle some bills lol

Umm, I just ordered the 1+1, I have N5 currently. What didn't you like about 1+1? I am probably going with 4.4 on it instead of CM.

Mainly just its size. It was too big for practical use for me. I had a hard time making the decision to sell it, there is no question that it's an amazing phone, it just wasn't for me. If you have no problem with a phone that large, then you will absolutely love it. It is a seriously bad ass piece of hardware.

Tried the GN2? My Note 2 is my backup, love it but N5 is way easier 1handed. May just sell my Note, Note 2 and N4 and keep N5 and 1+1.

Yeah, the Note 2 is too big for me too. I guess I'm just not a phablet guy. The N5 fits my large screen needs perfectly. I also have a Moto X which I absolutely love, and an iPhone 5s which will get upgraded to the 6 when it comes out. I think 4.7" is the absolute perfect screen size, so I can't wait for the iPhone 6. Gaming on that thing is gonna be amazing.
leaving BIG RED to either Tmob prepaid or ATT GO PHONE.. Im kind of in a smaller town but all have stores here so I am assuming they are ok.. I bought a N5 on swappa.com. I am a little nervous to leave vzw been with them over 12 years but I am tired of the locked down phones and games they play.

I just sold 1+1 nd coming back to nexus after using tons of phone only i can say is that NEXUS IS THE REAL CHAMP NO ONE CAN BEAT
you will miss nexus daily while using opo
Think yourself that a new Chinese company can beat THE GIANT GOOGLE????

Bad idea lol. I just came from an M8 its good but the 1 flaw which is the camera is such a huge let down. The M8 would be the greatest phone Android has ever been on if only HTC would quit ignoring us and put better cameras in their phones. HTC is like Nintendo, kept ignoring the community/tech industry suggestions for hardware for years now they're in last place. They have been for 2 console generations now. On topic lol, if HTC had the camera sensor from a GS5, hell even a GS4 it would be perfect.

Is the camera really that bad? I'm thinking of doing the same and getting the M8. I did see some HDR shots which didn't look as bad as people made the camera out to be. Even on the Nexus I keep HDR on to get better shots. Is the front facing camera better on the nexus also?

As a engineering student I think that paper and pen can't be replaced by tablets. Dropped my opinion right there

I explain.
In my university the teachers use powerpoints and want that us print the powerpoints, but also can use tablets. So to see the powerpoints and take notes. I think is good. Right ?

The Nexus 9 is cool, but I really don't have any interest in buying one. I'm fine with my LG G Pad 8.3, plus I'm not so sure about the 4:3 screen ratio. Seems weird for an Android device.
The Nexus 6 or S or Shamu or whatever it'll be called, however, will be my next device. Coincidentally, my wage garnishment just ended, so I'll be able to save up for one without having to wait until next tax season.

You should take a look at the Samsung Note series. Yeah, I know, they're not the greatest when it comes to development and custom ROMs and whatnot. But the S Pen works great, and not only can it convert what you scribble into text, they have a "formula" mode that accurately converts your writing into equations and such. Pencil and paper is probably best for working things out, but once you're done, you can transcribe it to the Note and have it all nice and neat.

I know the Note 10.1 2014 Edition has what I'm talking about. I don't know of the Note 8.0, or the Note 3 or Note 4 phones have it or not.
Depending on price! I will be buying the nexus 9 on the release date. Hopefully next week 15th 16th and will be keeping an eye on HTC event today in new York! But I can not see HTC revealing a nexus project. Both devices look great on paper, the nexus 6 looks and sound great I understand there seems to be a large number of people saying its to large. I had a note 3 at 5.7 inches which I thought was to big but I was pleasantly surprised the nexus 6 is a most practically the same size minus the bezels of the note 3. Don't knock it to you have tried it in hand!
Anyone coming from a Note 4 kinda regret it. I mean i do a little bit but only becuase of the camera
I regret not ordering it sooner.
I have zero regrets. The Note is cool in it's own right. But this phone is blazing fast and without the carrier non-sense. Also the camera for me is decent so I have no complaints.
I traded in my Note. I was sick of the lag of the recent app start after a week. Getting my Nexus either tomorrow or Thursday!

I was kinda annoyed about the yellow screen. I fixed this issue today and everything looks good and colors are way better that note 4 now. The camera is okay but the note 4 is amazing camera.

Coming from m8/Nexus 5, I miss having a plethora or ROM options. Aosp/CM, GPE, Sense, Mini etc. I also miss having SD card for the m8. I just really wanted a big phone which is why I got the Nexus 6. I am just waiting for Xaomi to update mini to 5.0. Which Hugo says they are working on it so hopefully in 6 months or less

Glad that you don't have that issue. It's very annoying. screen has so many issue as burn in and pinkish tint when you lower the brightness.

Nope! But I've had the phone for an hour at this point - just ran to AT&T and picked it up, switched from the LG G3. I love it so far. I guess my screen is warm (yellow?) but I can't tell too much. Iunno. Ready for developers to start releasing ROMs!

installed ElementalX kernel it has a color control and also installed Trickster MOD from the play store. Setup my RGB and all is running very well.
I was gonna get the Note 4, but I wanted the pure Android experience and Nexus 6 has almost the identical hardware to Note 4, so I thought to my self with all that power Nexus 6 is bound to run faster and better. No regrets, lovin it.
I kinda regret not going with the Note 4 because the Note seems to have a sturdier build than the N6. Warning to all, this is not the phone you walk around with naked.
I have both the note 4 and Nexus 6. My note 4 is a dust collector now. Yes the camera is better on the note 4 but the Nexis is a beast!

Coming from a G3 which I still own I have no regrets. I've had 3 G3's and I loved them all and I kept one and my Nexus. Before those I had a Note 3 and this is leaps and bounds better than the Note 3 and my wife's S5
I Currently have the htc one m8 for almost a year and I love it but it starting to give me problems and the att next program is up should I go with the nexus 6 or wait the m9? What thing you love about the nexus 6? I had a nexus 4 back a few years and i love the nexus platform for the devs putting a lot of functions of other oems but i don't know hows that working now. Please help.

What would I change? I'd like volume and power buttons on different sides if the screen.

Haha exact opposite to me.
The only thing I don't like is the noise that comes from the phone in vibrate mode. I can literally hear the motor from the other side of the room. Other than that I am happy with it. I came from a lg g3 and am still in unrooted.

I'd like an IPS screen myself. Or at least SUPER amoled and not regular amoled.
What I think that might be a game changer is getting use to just taking calls with the phone.
My hand size is average. Holding it up to my ear for extended time can be exhausting.
For most other activities like data consumption, it's great.
I would say the dev section is still getting warmed up for custom roms and features.
I think mostly because people are waiting for 5.1 to drop and rebase before digging back into it again.

M9 will be a great device if they don't continue the tradition of UP Nexus 6 has its own advantage. I had picked up Nexus 6 instead of Note 4 because of the stock android experience and also Nexus 6 is the first premium-looking Nexus which also help me to push towards Nexus 6. HTC is famous for their premium build-quality. I would have chosen HTC flagship only for their build-quality

I disagree that the 6 is the first premium looking nexus. Nexus one, Nexus S and Galaxy nexus were all premium looking relative to competition at the time. The LG nexus devices were budget devices and I think that showed.

I used to have a Galaxy Nexus but I never felt it much premium though. Yeah, at that time it was much premium device I was actually mentioning build material to define the "premium" nexus

A phone this size and they put the volume and power buttons that close together. Make the notification LED work natively and at least space the buttons further apart are all I'd change. Oh and an SD card slot.

So I need a new phone, and decided on Google because of the small size that's very important to me and the good cameras.
I am looking at used Pixel 4 (Metal, 5.7") for around 250$, and new Pixel 5's (650)
I don't really use 5G and never will unless I am forced in some years to come.
Besides that, is Pixel 5 that much better in other areas that it's justified to spend the extra 400?

I would buy pixel 5 open box excellent condition at best buy
No straches no dents . Make sure inspect to phone before leave the store if u see something you can get additional $75-100 discount
