Hi Everyone!
I recently bought this phone but I was wondering if there is any stock Google rom available for it. I just want the untouched original Android experience without any bloatware, launchers and themes.
I fell in love with the design of the Xperia Z that's why I bought it. The Sony UI isn't really bothering me because it's very minimalistic, but I rather have stock Android. (No CM etc)
Please keep me posted!

Could you post some screens of the "UI pallet"? (I'm very used to Xperia interface, my last phone was the Ion) this interface is still available?
What do you mean by "under bar size"?
Did you find out anything about use ZR international firmwares on this?

Looks like nobody is reading this, no even stevenhy2.0.
It should be a thread of this awesome piece of work right?
Finally I bought it and waiting for its arrival
Just wanted to know your thoughts about this subject. I've recently bought a Xperia Z3 Compact and I am not really sure which one of them I should chose.
I saw couple of mods around, but still don't know which one to try. If someone who's a veteran around and knows his way could help me I'd be grateful.
hi fellas, i have been searching all over the internet on how to root this sony xperia C6903 (docomo/japan variant) i got it with global rom already installed, how to root this device? i really want the android 7.1 from xda, and that 20mp superior auto feature, i'm just a newbie on this game, i honestly have no idea how things work, call me stupid but i couldn't trust the only tutorial here that got a lot of views but no successful review.
Hi, I have my newly purchased xz1 compact.
I see that there are many risks and problems when unlocking the bootloader.
I appreciate if someone gives me an updated opinion of whether it is useful to unlock bootloader today?
thanks in advance
It's a very personal question and difficult to get an answer from strangers. It all depends on what you want to do with the phone? Have you rooted a phone before? If no, then this probably isn't a good place to start.
The road to successfully rooting is long and complicated
But this thread is probably the best place to start.
Personally I think it's more trouble that its worth.
Thanks for your answer. I read your post in another thread. and hence my question. I have already rooted one of them the z1 compact before. but there was not the degree of diffi xzcu xzlty that I find. here. Could you give me a brief account of the real benefits of rooting in xz1 compact today.

Everyone has their own reason for rooting. If you dont have a reason to root. Then don't. I used to root in the past to remove bloatware, because I used to buy Japanese sony's which came with tons of it. Other people rooted for GPS hacking with pokemon go. Some wanted to theme their devices, make the apps and menu's into dark theme, etc. Other's wanted to remove facebook or google services from the phone for privacy.
I can say though - in December 2019 - you can root your phone, and keep your google pay, and camera functionality. So the downside of root, for me, are totally gone.
@Dean F
thanks for your answer. clearer now. a December 2019 root in xz1 compact is less dangerous than in 2017. I will be well informed by the rooting process. which is badly complicated than in other brands. And finally I will. reason install roms of Android Q. thanks again
