Carrier apps. Stock firmware. - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

I've recently acquired a used galaxy s10e which has some carrier apps left that can't be uninstalled. How would I go about flashing clean, stock firmware with minimal hustle? I don't want to unlock the device or root it.
Thank you for any help.

if you can connect it to PC via adb, you can disable them using the adb commands.

ATT Note III SM-N900A not able to auto-update.

I've got three problems.
Won't over-the-air update
Computer can't recognize phone no matter what I do even when installing drivers separately, in "normal" mode, that is, with the phone booted and running.
Driver updates are useless
But Download mode works. So here's what I want to do. Knox is still factory-fresh and shows no alteration. I want to go back to completely stock rom in the hopes that over-the-air will then work as well as re-enabling computer to phone access (Mac/PC Kies).
Download mode works (99.99% sure). The phone works absolutely great, except for the three problems stated above. So can I do this? Here are the version numbers as found on the phone. I need help really bad here.

Since you can get into download mode I would just Odin flash the NC2 files http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54803130&postcount=136 to return your phone to stock. BUT once you do and you do the OTA Update, you will be on stock Lollipop and it CAN NOT be rooted! ONLY way to root it, is flash the NC2 files and root it (Just a heads up). IF you don't want root and want Stock Lollipop then just flash these files with Odin [100% Stock] Lollipop 5.0 (N900AUCUEOC1) Odin Tars http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/100-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900aucueoc1-t3069609

Questions about rooting without a PC

I recently got rid of my pc and now use a tablet and Nexus 6.
I've only ever rooted using a pc, but i was wondering if i wanted to root and run a rom on my Nexus 6, can it still be done? Im pretty sure running a rom can be, but not sure about unlocking and rooting.
Any info would be helpful! Thanks!
I am unsure if you have a tablet that is capable of running it, or another phone, but this could potentially work for you. I haven't ever used it, so I can't verify if it works, but people seem to be having success in that thread recently.
If you don't have a phone or tablet that has OTG support, or for whatever reason can't get that to work, then you will need a PC. You have to use fastboot to unlock the bootloader to get root or a custom ROM. Once your bootloader is unlocked you have a couple options, but still step 1 is *fastboot oem unlock* (well actually it is to enable oem unlock in developer's options).
As a side note, I would recommend against rooting and ROMing if you don't have regular access to something that can use the SDK tools (fastboot and adb). Even if they are rare, there are situations that could pop up that would require you to have fastboot handy to get your phone back to functional shape.

No apps configured

I've just rooted my phone (I think... root checker apps agree) And I'm running into an issue with superSU, my lists are all totally empty. I'm not sure what information you need to help me out, but I'd like to A) get rid of some bloatware, and B) Maybe try out some custom Roms
Phone: sm-G530T
Root method: Flashing twrp via odin
Android version: 5.1.1

what should i do to make the phone better? Root, install custom rom?

i bought a new note 9.
i want to remove bloatware, make it more battery friendly, install apps that are needed (ad free). i believe it is called Root, so what shall i do?
i saw this thread, so should this thread is what i should focus on?

If you root you can't use Samsung Pay ever again! Make sure that is something you don't need. I rooted my phone because I want to use dual SIM simultaneously with the SD card, that's only possible with root/custom ROM, because Samsung blocked this in their latest updates.
Then, if you've installed TWRP (recovery) you can backup your complete phone (NAND backup) and experiment with different ROMs and settings (like Xposed).
And before you root or start flashing anything; make sure you have the correct model nbr.
Dr. Ketan's ROM is as close as possible to the original firmware (which is what I wanted). But you can debloat or add options with his ROM tool.
Before you do any of that, why don't you just set the phone up and use it as is for awhile. You can debloat it with adb commands without rooting it.
Only use opensource apps.
Which ROM are you using for dual sim and SD card?
If you "believe" it's called root just stay away from rooting for now ( I don't want to be rude)
Rooting is not something a newbie should just go ahead and do.
Setup the Phone first and use it for a while, think about what you dislike while this time and come back to search for solutions.

Is an unrooted phone still secure as "never been rooted"?

Hello, I'm looking to get a new Android phone and I really like how the Sony Xperia 1 ii sounds, but, I really don't want the pre installed apps and I would rather fully delete them then just "disable for the current user".
If I rooted a Sony Xperia 1 ii then deleted the apps I didn't want, and I unrooted the phone, would it be as secure is it was before root? Also, would the apps I just deleted come back with future OTA updates?
Since I don't want to maintain a rooted phone and have to keep up security myself while it is rooted.
If you update it after that there's no telling what could happen is my guess.
Maybe do some ADB edits and call it good.
Or use Package Disabler for non Samsung phones and bypass all the monkey business entirely. Phone remains stock.
adb tools can fully delete pre installed app.
rooted phone cannot use some bank app.
If you want to rooted the phone,
you must unlock bootloader before root,
this step will clear all user data in your phone.
And when you want to get OTA and unroot,
you need relock bootloader.
And you need to flash firmware once before relock bootloader.
If not, you cannot boot into system.
So, your preinstall app will be back after relock bootloader.

Thank you for your reply.
I read on another forum that removing apps with ADB only "removes" for the current user. Not fully deleting off of the phone.
Is this not correct?

No, it's fully uninstalled.
But the install file (apk) is continue in your phone. So, if you add a new account(or use adb) , they can come back.
After use this method to uninstall app, just storage will be use (apk file) . The pre-install app will never use any ram and battery.
(I use adb method to delete "file" app before, but I cannot re-install it by adb.
Finally I need to make a clean flash by newflasher to bring it back. )
