No. There is no way to carrier unlock your phone without TMo whitelisting your IMEI and sending an update that unlocks it. USUALLY they won't do that unless you are an established (and active) customer or your phone is fully paid off. If your phone is fully paid off then you should still be able to work something out with them. If not, you are SOL.

I happen to own both a pixel 4 and a oneplus N10 5g. I was able to unlock my oneplus via a little program someone wrote that removes a bunch of apps via ADB, it worked perfectly the same week I got the phone from Metro. I'm sure someone could look at that little program and figure out what apps need to be disabled and make it work for the pixel. I'm gonna see if it works now without changing anything.

Hi, I unlocked my mi note 10 lite and I didn't lose find my phone, even if you switch to another rom, that will probably use Google's Find My Phone. One thing that you will lose is your warranty so decide what works best for you.

Hi Guys,
The XZ1c is almost 5 years old now. As there was no clear replacement for this compact phone - which phone did you eventually move on to?
- I moved onto the Xperia Ace 2, but it really is an inferior phone (bigger, slower, and worse camera).
- The Xperia Ace 3 is the best upgrade from the XZ1c. The new snapdragon chip fixed many of the issues that the Ace 2 had. And this phone gets a strong recommendation from me. Get it off ebay starting June 2022. It holds the title of "Worlds smallest smartphone with a 4500mah battery".
- I will be moving onto the Xperia 10 IV "worlds lightest 5G phone with a 5000mah batt"
Hope this information can help you with your new Sony.
Regards,
Dean
I'd like to know as well. My SO-02K no longer works as a phone now that 3G is getting disabled.
I've spent a lot of time searching for an acceptable replacement since the news about AT&T discontinuing 3G struck, but I've yet to find anything -- it seems like small Android phones are just a thing of the past.
Yep, I'm stuck without voice for the forseeable future.
Pixel 5 & 4a, Nokia 7 & 8 spring to mind... Other than that XZ2 compact seems to be the obvious next in line. FYI you can set up a search on gsm arena and see exactly what's out there under 145mm in height w/ 4g+, BT5+ and running Android
If you have money to burn and are unbothered by the lack of substantial customization options/roms but gotta have all that extra space in your pocket, perhaps those new age flip phones are worth considering. Talking about Z Flip3 and Razr 5G

I recently got a CN version Mi 11 Ultra after getting tired of waiting for the 12 ultra, only to find I cannot activate it on the ATT network because it is "not a recognized device". I've talked to 3 backend support people who all assured me it is not a compatible phone, they've had other people ask about this, and nothing can be done. However, I've seen threads here and on the ATT forums where people are able to get it to work quite easily. I've followed the advice about disabling carrier VoLTE check, and am on MIUI 13.0.4 Global, but still no bars.
What can be done? Is there another US carrier I can go with for which the phone will work?
Have you tried settings your APN to AT&T 4G?

i am on T-Mobile and got an 11 Ultra last week. i popped out the sim card from my iPhone mini and popped it into my new 11 Ultra and it worked immediately.
as soon as you sign up to their service, you should be good to go
ATT is trash. As soon as you switch to the new phone they will deactivate your account and you have to call them to unlock it. Then they give you this bull about your phone being a 3G device that they won't support anymore. I wasn't even with them a month before I dropped them and went to Google Fi. Best move I ever made. All unlocked devices work on G Fi as far as I have seen.
VoLTE Doesn't work even shown worked when i deal *#*#4636#*#* so can anybody explain away to enable it without rooting device?

If you convert it to edge 30 that's mean you root it already , you can modify a file to enable it
/data/user_de/0/com.android.phone/files/carrierconfig-com.google.android.carrier-*.xml file and adding these lines there:
<boolean name="carrier_volte_available_bool" value="true" />
<boolean name="vendor_hide_volte_settng_ui" value="false" />

No, my device's bootloader is not unlocked, so it can't be rooted, converted via service box, not the usual way. Device Frankenstein
But in Android 13 it will probably open. Because many brands(e.g. OnePlus; volte was very problematic on devices), volte was activated directly with the Android 13 update. Of course when will Motorola release Android 13, that's a big question

Pixel 6 Pro was also my previous device. The situation is different with Pixels, it has nothing to do with Motorola. Google blocks the 5G/VoWIFI/VoNR/VoLTE features of Pixel devices in countries that are not officially sold. This is exact information, you can research it.
You are asking if the software version of the device you are using is the latest version but you know VoLTE well. How is it doing? Don't give information without knowing.

The Moto X30 Pro doesn't seem to be active either. It doesn't activate without root. Even if you convert it to Edge 30 Ultra, the problem persists. I also say that if the A13 update comes, it will be fixed. This was also the case with OnePlus devices.
If i could unlock the bootloader of my device, i would not stop for 1 minute, i would activate Volte with the rooted method

Operators in our country have Volte support, but Motorola has no official sales. That's why our operators don't recognize Motorola devices, they say "there is no device support" for VoLTE/VoWIFI.
Interesting thing is; it has a sound quality like VoLTE active

HD Voice and VoLTE/VoWifi are different technologies and independent of each other. The carrier has to implement this though and allow it. Here in Austria (and other European countries) HD Voice works on 3G and even 2G, while in Asian countries and the US the carriers require VoLTE for HD Voice.

I didn't say anything different. I know there are different technologies but our operators are just that annoying. Support is only available for devices of officially sold brands. Of course it's very, very silly
