PUBG & CALL OF DUTY won't work - Google Pixel 4 XL Questions & Answers

Has anyone had this issue and knows how to resolve it? It's due to root but I've done everything in Magisk to hide magisk, build prop, renamed magisk, everything I could think of and everything I've read that said "do this, this will fix it". Well it didn't. And I don't know what else to try. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I had same problem I hide magisk then renamed magisk then restart device cod now works

You need to turn off developer options
COD won't run with it.

Safety check was successful but ctsProfile: false and basicIntegrity: false

Also modules that I install are not appearing on the modules tap it's almost af if my Magisk stopped working. All I did was uninstall emojione and try to install a ios emoji app and this happened.
Yes, the SafetyNet check was successful (a reply from the server was received) and the check determined that your device does not pass SafetyNet.
Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling Magisk and the Manager.

How do I uninstall it then? Nothing happened when I clicked install and it just rebooted the device... And I do not have a backup so I can't choose the option "back to stock" under uninstall

Well, you obviously have a faulty Magisk installation... There's an uninstaller zip in the release thread. Flash that in recovery.

If you really want to pass safety net I'd highly recommend that you don't install Xposed!

That depends... You can't pass SafetyNet fully, but with the No Device Check module you can make it pass the CTS profile check. So if you have any apps that only rely on that, you might be good to go.
Of course, having Xposed installed may cause other issues, but that's another story.

Hi! I've tried your suggestion and it works for ctsProfile, now showing true. But I still got basicIntegrity: false. Any other useful suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Hello, so I'm in the same situation, except I can't manage to get SafetyNet control to pass... I also have both statue on false, and I can't figure out how to solve it. I've searched for hours a solution, but nothing seems to work. I tried re installing it, hiding the manager... Nothing works. If anyone could help me, that would be really, really appreciated :/
I precise that Magisk and Magisk Manager are up to date, and that I have TWRP installed.

Before you keep trying things, make sure that you have the basics taken care of. There are some requirements and necessities for MagiskHide to work. Take a look here: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_Basics
And when asking for help, make sure to include device, ROM, and other necessary details. And logs... Take a look here for that: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHideHelp

Losing Magisk Root After Reboot

Hi,
I'm running stock ROM with TWRP recovery.
I've managed to successfully root my Note with Magisk.
Somehow I noticed that my device loses root after a reboot and sometimes even randomly. When I go into the custom recovery and flash Magisk 14 or 14.3 everything works fine for while, till it loses root again.
Could someone shed some light on my issue, please?
Thanks in advance.
I've also themed Magisk Manager with Substratum could that be the issue?
I'm also running stock rom, losing magisk root from time to time.
When root is lost, I'm getting a notification that "new magisk V14 is available.
Reinstalling with TWRP only to lose it again a day or two later.
You all need to change your settings in magisk manager. I had the same problem. Change your update channel to Beta. This will keep magisk 14.3 installed once you flash it in recovery after setting this. :highfive:
Are you using the hide root feature?
If so then that is probably your issue.

If I disable it, won't secure apps that run in the background pick up root? I'm guessing I should freeze them first or something?

Try closing those apps first, I think it goes ok as long you don't start the apps yourself because most off the apps checks root at startup, but I can't guarantee you anything
Something weird has happened... I've not actually changed anything but now I tend to lose root immediately after rebooting.
I'm a technical person so whilst I say nothing has changed, I know that it probably has and I just can't remember.
I need Hide, so disabling that is not an option... I have no idea where to even start debugging this

I've been posting my analysis here:

Only been spamming the thread with my woes since yesterday so still early days. I'm certainly not expecting an immediate fix because this has been going on for quite some time and if it was easy, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Thanks. In my point of view this look to be a bug in Magisk. Did you tried some older version?

Magisk safetynet not passing

s10 forgets bluetooth devices

Hey,
dumb question, does anybody have problems with loosing already bonded devices over night/hours?
I just reinstalled and rootet (AP with magisk [but no TWRP]) my device and slightly debloated it (by hand). So far so good.
But every couple hours it forgets the paired devices (Car Radio and Galaxy Gear).
Does anybody have an idea or at least a hint how i can monitor what is going to happen?
thx in advance
Matt
I'm a little bit further. Every time when i disable BT, the device emptys the config.
I found the bt_config.conf file. But the system does not seem to refer to it. Because when i back it up and restore it to the original path the BT does not connect.
So, does anyone knows where/who's the initial Config file.
thx in advance
Install the libsecure_storage magisk module from ianmacd. That should fix it.
AMEN!!!! Thx, thats it.
Can you describe what it does?

I have the exact same problem. My S10+ keeps forgetting already connected BT Devices since I rooted it. I'm gonna try that libsecure_storage Magisk module.
I am suffering from this on my plus, does anyone know which section the "Install the libsecure_storage magisk module" is located on forum?
Best wishes

OnePlus 5 Safetynet issues

Hai.
Yesterday I rooted my device with all latest versions and everything went pretty well. Then when I checked Safetynet check, there was an error on the "CtsProfile" and the second one was okay. Then I tried all those methods including modules, tweaking settings, installing universal fixes and even extras like USB debugging etc etc but nothing worked.
I've used these versions of apps:
platform-tools_r29.0.6-windows
Magisk-v20.3
twrp-3.3.1-0-cheeseburger
MagiskManager-v7.5.1
Other things I noted:
Just to check I downloaded Pokemon GO, it works for some time like for 2 minutes, when you log in and then gives error of the device.
Similarly I tried another app one first launch it said not compatible with the device and then I closed. After some time, I opened and it was working fine.
Plus, hiding from #Magiskhide doesn't affect these behaviors.
So, I want someone to help me with this, because I've tried almost all of the troubleshooting things.
Thank you!
It's a good idea to be a bit more detailed... For example, what does this mean?

What modules, tweaks, universal fixes and extras are you talking about?
And I'm assuming you've checked here already:
https://didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_SafetyNet
If it's just CTS that's failing, it's usually caused by using an uncertified device/ROM and can most of the time easily be circumvented by using a certified device's fingerprint. Is this one of the things you've tried? If not, give my MagiskHide Props Config module a go.

Oh, I'm so stupid I didn't completed that terminal step fully. I thought it would be automatic, meh. Thank you a lot. It's fixed.
Now that the Safetynet check is whole working but does it change anything? Like, I tried Pokemon Go now, but it still says device, OS or software is not compatible. Why is that? I mean, if it's only for Pokemon Go, then I guess it's okay because I'm not really a fan of it.
But if it's same for other apps in future, what should I do next to fix this?
Regards.

That's great. If I remember correctly, PoGo is also detecting stuff like Titanium Backup or TWRP folders on your device.

Delete/rename the folders, whatever is more convenient. They same might apply for any Magisk folders or files you have saved on your device.

As far as I know, you can't. Not without locking the bootloader, which you shouldn't do on a modified system (you'll risk bricking the device, permanently).
If you're going to sell your device it would be a good idea to go back to full stock anyway, and then you can lock the bootloader and the message would go away.
