I've just received my realme x7 (India variant) from Flipkart on 20-March.
I noticed a weird sound (not from speakers), I just want to check if everyone gets it or it's just me.
Whenever I put the phone on table/bed or any plane surface it sounds like something is clicking/tapping inside the phone.
Like there is some moving part inside the phone, probably source seems to me camera.
It happens when always either mobile is on or off. Either inside cover or not.
I googled about this, most results are saying that this might happen due to optical image stabilization (very common issue on Samsung phones). But this device doesn't have any OIS, so I guess that shouldn't be the case.
Other realme X7 owners, please check if the phone does produce the same sounds and let me know ASAP. I'll need to put a replacement order if it's only me.
Trick to reproduce : On a wooden table, put the left side of the device first and the release right side from 3-4 cms should produce the sound.

Realme X7 5G does not have optical image stabilization so there is no chance of that, and I am not facing any issues of that kind so please make sure you get it checked with the service center they will surely help you out of this. Go to service center before the warranty period ends.

I have my optimus 2x for about 0ne week now.
When I tap the phone with my finger on the backside above the camera or when it slides on the table al little faster (not so fast that it dangerous for the phone) I hear a strange clicking noise from the inside of the phone. Is that normal? probably the gyro-sensor?
Have you the same noise when you do that?
Maybe something inside my phone is broken...
p.s: its definitely no part of the shell, i have made serveral tries while holding varying parts on the outside (Camera, Card-Slot, HDMI,...)

Very slight click when I tap mine. Wouldn't even notice it if you had not mention it. Can't get it to click any other way. Probably the camera assembly.
Someone posted on here suffering from the same problem. Apparently it's something slightly loose in the camera assembly which is surprisingly common on phones (the Nexus One had a big probably with it apparently).
yes its normal even after you taking a photo with macro or some AF and then go to gallery you can ear the noise because the camera do it. its loose by default.

1.) (Probably the least relative to optimization) I'm almost positive that my phone may be financed. Although it may seem bad, it's really not. I purchased this phone for $300 on eBay. I then called a service representative about it being financed; he gave me a refund and told me I could do what I wanted with the phone. Just to be clear, I do not have factual evidence of it being financed. All I know is that the person selling it had a negative review on his profile from 10 days prior to me buying it saying "Sold a financed phone. Refused to take it back. Had to get eBay involved". The phone happened to be the same phone that I purchased, and when I booted it up, I opened T-Mobile's Device Unlock app and was presented with: "Your device is network locked at this time, which prevents it from operating with other compatible wireless networks", when I hit the continue button, it says "Server is not responding, please try again later". I called T-Mobile's customer service and the representative could not give me explicit information but did tell me that generally, that means the phone is being financed. What I'm wondering is, do you think it is financed? How can I tell if it actually is or not? I put the IMEI into T-Mobiles website and they do not recognize it. Also, there is no SIM card currently installed in the phone.
2.) The phone is quick.. and I mean VERY QUICK compared to my Honor 5x. The only issue I'm having with it is the SnapChat quality. Oh my is it bad! I've read the reasons for its low quality on several Reddit posts. I understand that since android's version of snapchat just screenshots the screen, the 18:9 image doesn't use the cameras full quality (or at least I think that's what the problem is supposed to be). The main issue I've noticed is its ability to handle low light. Truly, it records at 30 fps with high quality when there is proper lighting. When the lighting gets slightly worse, it records at 15-20fps with a SEVERE quality drop. Happens on both the front and back cam. Is there a way to fix this? I hear so much complaining but nobody suggesting fixes. Would a flashed ROM such as LineageOS help this? Also since it screenshots the snap, I feel as though it would make sense that rescaling it to 16:9 would work, but the only problem is, the option to change snapchat's scale is not in the options . Please let me know if anyone knows of a fix.
3.) I'm new to XDA-Developers and I was wondering if there are any general optimization threads or recommended apps or settings or ANYTHING really. I've been searching around and haven't been able to find anything useful.

And i got frozen! i bought mine by paypal from gearbest and try to cancel my order but they say they wont do it so i made my case via paypal. Now dpd tries to deliver my maze alpha x but im not sure that i should pick it up if i will have the same problems. The touch function of the fingerprint sensor can substitue the navigation bar (I use nova launcher).
The problem with stopping during viewing videos or freezing of the phone in any case with the necessity to reboot did not accure in the last month I used the phone as my daily driver.
What you have to think about (and this has been mentioned in several reviews):
- The speaker at the bottom is very weak. Even if you increase the volume with the help of MTK engineering mode, it remains flat and squaking.
- The pictures taken by the camera are very noisy, but I think this is a software problem as far as I can evaluate. The compression of the pictures is too high. Changing the app (e.g. opencamera) does not solve the problem. Perhaps it will be improved by future firmware.
- The black colored frame will get marks very quickly. The coating ist not very resistant.

today i receive ota for alpha x v04
I'm experiencing that while playing pubg trigger suddenly stop working in between the game in latest update. Although when I open the trigger button option and save it. It starts working again but you know it's buggy. No updates from Nubia regarding this issue.
For me it's the same here!

Triggers working fine on rm3s latest FW.
Trigger is working fine for my phone, no issue.
The only time when it is not responding (sometimes) is that when I launched the Whatsapp via the redmagic interface (slide from right to left) then I have to restart the redmagic switch to make it works again.
I am a sorry customer of this brand! I will never buy another mobile phone of this brand.

Yikes. I bought this on Friday and I play PUBG (main reason for buying this phone actually) and I frequently get phones during game play. Really nervous about this phone. I’m hoping that the phone is mostly good. You don’t usually hear the good points nearly as often or as loudly as the negatives. You should hear me witch about the ROG2 and it’s lack of VoLTE. lol

A TECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION FAULT
as mentioned before by someone, the touch issue comes with charge collection over the back of the phone steel case as we continue to move fingers.
this can be fixed by opening the phone by yourself YES YOU HAVE TO OPEN IT

bottom 2 screws open em, then apply pressure nera voulme buttons to separate the back case from main frame+display. there is no glue so chill its really easy no heatgun required.
NOW DISCONNECT THE 2 RIBBON CABLES FOLLOW JERRY RIGs instructions
NOW THE REPAIR PART
SO the issue is caused by the aluminium foli covering the bus moving from right trigger to central bus connection on the back cover.
it shot circuits with the cover near the touch button and collects charge slowly and randomly deposits it via induction interfering wiht the signals travelling in the bus randomly.
if you see the bus coming from left trigger has no such aluminium foil covering it
CHECK THE LEFT TRIGGER IT HAS NO BUS.
SIMPLE JUST REMOVE THE FOIL COVERING THE BUS carefully starting from left then moving towards right trigger and when it reaches the trigger there are a few thin end tags of the foil which surrounds the touch shouder button. use a soft pin to clear the area with ease.
THATS IT
CONNECT BACK 2 BUS
PUT THE main frame mother board PHONE BACK IN ITS CASE
TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AT BOTTOM
restart phone for proper Finger print working
and now you can focus and work on that KD and Conqueror ....

Hi! I had the same problem with right trigger. I have tried that fix removing aluminium tape. This doesn't help! It cause another problem. Now, when I do a little more pressure touch to screen it will activate that trigger. (Like using 3d iphone touch)... For me, I have found solution... The problem with right trigger was in faulty headphones... It sound crazy. However, believe me... Just try to change your headphones. Thanks me later
My front camera stopped working suddenly. Whenever I switch to the front cam in the camera app, it freezes. I tried changing various ROMs but the same result. Is my front camera busted? What is the likelihood of it being water damaged?

Try to flash stock ROM via PC and miflash.
If the front cam isn't working again in my opinion then hardware damaged.

This is a very big problem. Xiaomi fkd up big time. Users who updated their phones with miui 13 faced this issue. The service center guys are telling me it is a motherboard issue and asking 10k for the repair. Even though it is a faulty update that is the problem. Hundreds of users are facing this issue. I am thinking of registering a consumer complaint. Why should we pay for their mistake?

A lot of users (especially those manufactured in 2021) have this issue with front camera dying. I'm not entirely sure whether devices manufactured in 2022 have this issue fixed as far as I know, no one has reported having the front camera dead yet in those units but I think it is because of the device being new, we'll see.
According to users from Telegram, this happens because the thermal paste in the motherboard melted or disconnected. So heat plays a big factor with the front camera dying. Next symptoms, again according to users who reported, will cause the audio from the speakers to be lowered to the point where it is silent, next is screen dying and possibly bricking the phone.
Meaning, that even if you're on MIUI with a locked bootloader or on a Custom ROM, you won't be safe from the front camera dying. Thermal management has been a big issue with our device as even I can't prevent the phone from easily reaching 40°C. But, there are more reported cases of front camera dying on Custom ROM users or those that flash a different ROM frequently than those on Stock MIUI.
As for the fixes for this issue, only option is to go to the nearest Service Center and claim warranty (if applicable) or request for the motherboard to be fixed. Another option would be to go to a local repair shop and ask for a CPU Reballing of the motherboard.
For preventing this issue, I would say to never let the device get hot. I'd say at around 38-40°C would be the stopping point and let the device cool off. Following what Xiaomi's regulation on the recommended device temperature of 0-40°C found in safety thingy in About Phone (stock rom).

I am not paying anything. I am going to consumer court. This happened with poco x3 pro too and they all got either motherboard replaced or a new phone entirely.
I joined that telegram group and others too want a replacement.

Welp good luck then. Yeah on Poco X3 Pro case it's even worse with the whole phone bricking. I think Poco M2 Pro has the same issue as sweet with the front cam dying situation too. I guess going for cheap options does sometimes bite you back.

I have had the same issue with custom ROMs recently, but when I flashed the official ROM back onto my phone this morning, I got the camera functionality back. I then went through the process of flashing a custom ROM onto my phone and then the camera issue was back again.
I've been searching since last night on how to fix this? I had an Android 12 version of Evo-X on my Poco x3 NFC, and that worked fine, the issue only arising when I updated to the Android 13 version.

Imho it could be a missing camera driver in that A13 custom rom. (I had this too with RN8 and A10 custom).
You can check the drivers with the app "Device info HW" and see how many camera drivers are installed under "supported"
If you do this with stock and custom A13 rom and you count less camera drivers on the last one, that could be the reason.
In the picture you see 12 camera drivers inside CrDroid 7.16

I've also been getting the same issue with A12 based ROMs however.
I flashed the default MIUI back onto my phone last night and its currently working as normal again.
Disappointing because stock MIUI is awful.

Agree ... I went to service center few days ago . And they said they dont know the issue and dont have solution for it ... Now Xiaomi and me fcd up big time ...
