I bought a Moto Droid 3, the guy told me that is blocked (was from Verizon, and im from Argentina) to call and send sms/mms, but i could use Android apps with WiFi, the camera, etc...
I didnt want to call or send sms, i wanted to use it as a WiFi Tablet and the camera 1080p. So i thought great! So i bought it.
But i realized that the phone was rooted (i saw superuser app instaled).
I had some errors so i tryied to fix them clearing cache and dalvik cache in the safe mode but, i have THE SAME PROBLEMS in safe mode!
The problems are "The aplication XXXX (Process com.motorola.XXXX) has stopped unexpectedly. force close" with the following apps:
Calendar Storage (com.android.calendar)
com.motorola.service.main
Msg. SMS/MMS (com.motorola.conversations)
IM (com.motorola.im)
Email (com.motorola.email)
Contacts storage (com.motorola.contacts)
Twitter and some more...
Error in Google Apps when i download/update an aplication:
'"XXXX" could not be downloaded due to an error. (491).'
Also i cant download pictures from facebook for example.
Aplications running in Safe mode (also getting all the errors):
Data Manager Service
Settings
Voice Commands
Google Services
Sync Service
Files
Maps
Text Messaging
Swype
How can i fix the errors, help T_T

Google SBF for the Droid 3. There are two versions, 890 and 906, which you'll have to go to Settings, About and find out which version you are on.
anybody found a solution to this yet? still cant get it to work.
thnx.
I'm on project fi and ever since hangouts updated it's been crashing when I try to view a message. Tried clearing cache/data nothing seems to work. Even tried reinstalling it. Having to view the messages quickly in hangouts before it crashes and then send messages in the Google message app since the sms' won't show up in Google messages even when I set it as the default. I'm on 6.0.1 January update atm
Has anyone else been having issues with apps stopping on their XZ1C? I've been having trouble with Google Photos and Google Connectivity Services stopping a lot. I've tried the cache clearing and data clearing tricks as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Connectivity Services, but I routinely get the notification pop-up telling me one or the other has stopped or keeps stopping.
Photos seems to be stopping most when I use the app and especially when I try to share a photo via text or email from Photos itself. I don't have an issue if I send a MMS from Messenger.
Google Connectivity Services seems to stop the most when I use the GPS and am on LTE. It does occasionally stop when on WiFi or if going between WiFi and LTE. I question the benefits of even having that app if it stops more than anything. Perhaps it's just an issue with Oreo? I never had issues with apps stopping with my Pixel, but that was running Nougat.
Thanks.
Instagram does crash to me very often. I think they didn't optimized the app very well for Android 8
Edit. War robots just crashed too
I see it time to time too

My Google Photos app started behaving the same way immediately after I shared an album by way of SMS.
I cleared the cache, but that did not work. I reinstalled the app and the crashing stopped, but it has crashed once more the following day, but only one time.
How do you uninstall a core app like Photos? When I tap and hold, it does not give me to ability to uninstall it.
J-san, to the best of my knowledge you can't uninstall it, however if you long press on the app icon, and select App Info, you should be able to disable it. This will uninstall any updates to the app that have occurred since the phone was new.
Thanks much! I'll give that a try.
Nice, I thought I was the only one.
Current P10 firmware version vtr-l09 8.0.0.323 (654)
Sometime yesterday my ok google detection stopped working. I can side swipe to the left to get the google search page and manually start a search by pressing the mic key. I have gone through all my settings cleared cache, removed all data on the google app, text to speach (google) google play services, google play, with no success. When i reset the google assistant app and say ok google the app starts its setup proceedure asking questions for voice match etc after all done it asks for my pin to allow changes then closes. After this i can say ok google forever with no responce, again still being able to manually tap the mic to start a manual search that is spoken by me. access with voice match is greyed out as well as unlock with voice match. are others having this problem? Anyone have a solution? Thanks
Got the same problem. I have realised that when i've been driving a car today and tried to make a call. OK Google is not working anymore ;-(
Tried a few things, found that when I clear the cache, delete data on the Google app then uninstalled updates (reverting to previous version of the Google app) resolved the issue. I also disabled auto update for the Google app from the play store to stop it from re occurring. Huawei and Google can figure out the fix but this works for now
So I used smart switch and copied my pixel 4 over to my s21 ultra everything worked fine rcs using the Google message app. Had to get a replacement s21 (wouldn't hold a signal) after transferring from old s21 to the new s21 rcs stopped working and now when I enable chat in Google message it hangs on verifying phone number and doesn't do anything in samsung messages. Anyone have this working on verizon?
That's the same issue I ran into. What worked for me was to uninstall the app. Switch your default back to the same sing app or Verizon Messaging app. I redownloading the Google messaging app and made it my default. I activated the chat features and let it do it's own thing. For me after about 5-6 hours the servers confirmed and I was able to use RCS functionality.
Also in Settings, wifi, more connections I be set up a private dns; the same one I was using on my pixel.... dns.google

Do you have carrier services installed?
Yes I do
Mine just sticks at trying to verify phone number

I read what dude said about uninstalling and going back to Verizon messaging app as default and reinstall Google messages and then make it your default again and it worked right away without a hitch! Thanks so much was going ****ing crazy!
