Hello guys,
I have this big problem. My SGS just randomly shut off. 2-3 days it is ok, then suddenly just automatically turn off few times per day. Is this hardware problem or some app that I installed? Please help!!!!
P.S. I tried to search about this problem and I didn't find anything, but if there is thread related to this, please link it and delete my thread.
Thank you very much
This is probably a hardware fault. Your best choice would be to call Samsung and see if they will do anything about it.

There's a thread in the SGS General sub-forum about this particular bug (the topic title is "[Q] Why my Galaxy S turns it self off!!!"). In essence, it's a common fault that a factory restore or new SIM can allegedly fix. Failing that contact Samsung as PaulForde recommended.

Thank you. I will follow that thread to see if anyone offer some solution for this issue
I too am having ym phone reboot randomly. It only started recently, I was flashing several different firmwares. I could not find one I liked. I now have
pda: wjm7,
Phone: jm3,
and csc:BMCJH2.
My phone turns off 2 or 3 times a day too. I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue as I did not have this issue until I flashed to certain firmwares. I could be wrong but I did not experience this with the stock firmware.
So, this morning, I took the bright idea into my head to play with some system files. Obviously, I screwed up, causing everything to fc on restart. Whatever, I'll just reflash Cog. Everything goes fine, up until I realize my data isn't working. Oh well, same thing happened when I first flashed this. Except now, nothing I try is working. Flashed to Cog, stock ATT, stock Roger's (what I'm actually on), nothing.
So, now what? First off, I want my data back, secondly, I want to get rid of the ATT logo that now pops up before the I896. Any ideas?
Hell yeah, wiped user data + cache and my data plan worked. This can be closed.

lmao! actually i love the title of the thread, but you are right, it means nothing to the context of the thread
This looks like a good time to review some rules.

I just flashed Cognition 4.4.9 and now I am stuck on the Cognition boot screen. I am unable to get into either recovery or download mode.
SuperOneClick still roots/unroots the phone, but Odin won't do anything (obviously without download mode)
Any ideas?
In regards to your topic title:
The best way to 'suck' on the Captivate is by literally inserting it into your mouth for 1-3 seconds but make sure you hold the volume up and power button while doing it that way you can get into download mode.
First off there is a Cognition Q&A stickied you shouldent have open a thread for this. Take out your battery take out your sim and SD plug your phone in to your computer, press Vol +- and insert battery. If that doesn't get you in to download mode then get yourself a Jig

I realize there is a Q&A form which I did read though. However as I am sure you are aware before you jerk out on people that there are often numerous ways people have fixed their phones. I was hoping to find one of those said ways. I apologize that I offended you.

Hi all,
I have just started stripping down a few old and broken mobiles and fitted new screens to some and digitisers to others but have come across a problem with a Galaxy Ace, I have just replaced the digitiser on this which is working fine though when I powered th mobile on it came on in Safe Mode.
I have done a reset on it, and a Factory reset erasing everything, taken the battery out several times and left it with the battery out for an hour or so. I have also pressed the home button and Vol plus and minus with the power key simultaneously but still it persist's, I just can't get rid of this, have you any ideas please, other than chucking it in the bin.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, @ronbo76 has provided a really good thread on why your system goes to Safe Mode. You can go through that thread to troubleshoot your problem. Here's the link,
Safe mode in Android - what to do if you see that label on your screen?
Hope I Helped

Maybe you damaged the buttons when you've made the digitizer change, make sure the MENU button is in order and It doesn't stay pressed all the time when the system is booting...
Try to power off your phone and to pull out the battery, wait for one minute and the put it back in

Roger that, I thought I was in the correct location, obviously not, will check twice next time
Tried re flashing with new standard ROM as suggested but didn't work, SAFE MODE still on, worth a try though. Will now strip it down again and check all connections and buttons as advised, will get back to you when success is achieved
Thanks again..
Don't get pissed at me. This has already been posted in the Q&A, however, I haven't had but one response and it didn't help. I'm a couple of days away from taking this thing to the shooting range. Please let me know if there are any other options. Thanks.
Scenario:
User had a Galaxy S6 T-Mobile and the USB would charge but not allow a data connection (no detection in windows).
Phone is rooted.
User was playing around in "developer options" and accidentally enabled OEM lock somehow.
Now the phone says "custom binary blocked by FRP lock" when the phone boots and then shuts off.
He gave it to me and I've read about several fixes involving Odin but I am unable to get any computer to detect the phone while in download mode.
I thought that maybe the USB module was bad so I meticulously removed and replaced the USB module (I have all the right tools after doing screen repairs for years).
It didn't make a difference. The phone will charge with USB but it won't boot except to download mode and it won't detect on any PC that I try it on. It's not a driver issue, it doesn't even detect at all so you never get to the install driver step.
Is this a brick now or is there any hope besides motherboard replacement?
