Hello,
since i updated my Mi 9T Pro to Miui 12.5.1.0 video playback has been entirely broken.
Any app that tries to play a video freezes.
After restarting videos work for a couple of minutes and then it stops working again.
I already tried a factory reset which didn't help.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello
I have had my Att tilt version Kaiser with the single camera for two weeks now. The original flash was very buggy so I reset it back to the factory settings. Most problems have been solved and I have tweeked it and learned to rewrite the registry and it does most of what I want now, all but one thing, my camera will not record video.
In some settings my camera will record, but in play back there is no video, only audio. In other settings the video starts and then stops a few seconds later. in both cases the video is unplayable.
I had tried another camera program in the previous setup, but it didn't fix the video problem. I had hoped the reset would fix this issue, but it did not.
Does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for this?
Ps.
I apologize in advance if I have overlooked a thread addressing this.
Hello, i have P9plus L09 B161 unrooted and can't play YouTube videos at 60fps (in YouTube app) . I reset app data, uninstall/reinnstall etc and no fix. On Mate7 MM everything is OK. The phone is not in 720p ROG energy saver mode. The fps problem is from the beginning , two months ago. Any ideas or solutions ? Thank you.
Have a nice day !
I have the same issue I posted way back.
Maybe Huawei read this forum and fix the problem.
Ive given them a feedback on day 1 since I got the mobile both on email and official fb page. zero response about the issue.
The August 12 youtube update has finally added 60fps playback
My thread started in august 11 was read and problem solved by Youtube after one day, amazing ! ☺
Thank you XDA and YouTube !
Firtst time opened the camera and took a picture, the phone freezed and restarted by itself after that, it happens every time. Ones when i was browsing it freezed too and then restarted.
I cant post any links , becouse i,m new here, i have viedo in youtube with the problem.
I'd suggest updating. You've probably got an old and buggy firmware, possibly an unofficial global.
I have this problem, is there any solution?
Hello everyone.
Has anyone encountered this problem?
The phone decides to drop to 30fps when playing a 60fps video on YouTube, but somehow 60fps seems fine on portrait mode. This goes for YouTube Vanced as well. I also noticed Google Chrome has a noticeable stutter when playing videos on fullscreen. I'm running stable MIUI 12.5.1 Global. Never did any major tinkering like unlocking bootloader or rooting; only tinkering I did was debloating apps. I tried rebooting, turning off battery saver, turning off developer options, reinstalling apps, but the problem still persists.
Here's a video for reference.
Any given suggestions are welcome since I can't find any on the interwebs Thanks!

It doesn't make sense but turning off dc dimming fixed it for me. Strange...

Thank you! I never thought about dc dimming being the cause. I was starting to believe I was the only one who had this problem. Well, no DC dimming for now til Xiaomi fixes this one lol.

Maybe the analog hardware can't support that fast of frame rate... been nice if they had mentioned that limitation
I have had this phone for a few months now and Youtube videos started stuttering when set on 1080p/720p 60fps (it stutters for a bit then it goes away and it comes back after some time), same thing happens with Chrome except the whole phone stutters constantly. I tried clearing the cache, I tried enabling Disable HW Overlay, I tried using YouTube Vanced and it still stutters. I don't what else to do and I don't want to reset the phone to factory since I have a lot of stuff on it which will take a lot of time to back up.
Same thing here.its even worse if you're used to 1.5 or 1.75x speed. It's like frameskipping/framedropping. I don't know if there's a workaround?
Although I think it's the phone processor not being fast enough. On my good old Samsung Galaxy note 9 it's as smooth as it gets
Same.
Does anybody know a fix?
Yeah, it also happened with my Poco M2 6/128 when I was on MIUI 12.5.6, then I installed a custom rom (Project Elixir 1.8 based on Android 12) and now I don't get any stutters or frame drops during 60fps videos anymore. So, I believe MIUI is at fault here.
Custom roms (a12) dont fix the problem for me.
