First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM: <--THESE MAY NEED UPDATING FOR YOUR PARTICULAR DEVICE; BE THOROUGH IN INSTRUCTIONS-->
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip <--& vendor img, if applicable--> to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

So i found out that the cpu governor wasn't set right
set it to intelliactive and the battery is staying

There is an problem with Bluetooth and wifi.
Sometimes Bluetooth gets disconnected from my wireless headphone and doesn't detect it anymore and also when trying to search for Bluetooth device the wifi network connected to becomes invisible then I have to turn off Bluetooth in so the the wifi network becomes visible

Is it the one from the screenshot below you're looking for.
It can be added from settings>Crdroid settings>status bar>then scroll down to show logo and then logo style

Wifi sometimes dont connect in the first place! not always but occurred randomly! have to on-off again to connect. i am on 5.3

New build of 16th June, when there is an incoming call and the screen is locked the incoming call doesn't wake the screen and the screen stays blank. Screen has to be unlocked then the call can be answered or declined.
Not sure if it's just my device or if anyone else is facing the same issue

Got bug com.android.dialer always crash stop when call..

This ROM is unusable, please don't install.

Could've used the OSS vendors from Arrow, they're perfect for the deep sleep issues that almost all other ROMs have.

Hello,
Glad to find crDroid on my Note 10 pro (after having it on my Note5 pro and on my Note 8T, both in my kids' hands now).
Small additional information for beginners:
1) after having formatted the data (and answered "yes"), it is necessary to reboot on the Recovery before installing crDroid
2) If you come from "Arrow" ROM, you can't directly install crDroid. Indeed, Arrow OS changes things in the "vendor" partition, while the installation of cdDroid doesn't seem to affect this partition. I tried to switch directly from Arrow to crDroid, but the phone was rebooting on Recovery. The best is to flash MIUI. Then (no need to start on it) you can flash crDroid.
3) Finally, I have already had several issues after updates crDroid on my other phones (dirty flash), because of the encryption. Now, to protect from problems, I deactivate the encryption (especially with the Note 10 pro, TWRP seems to be still in beta). Usually, to turn off encryption, I would use #dfe. But it doesn't work in this case. So, I recommend that you use "rmcrypt.zip" found in the "Arrow" forum, and which I attach to you in this post.
Important note: If you are using "mcrypt.zip" to turn off encryption, turn off OTA updates. You have to update manually, because you have to relaunch mcrypt after each system update.
Otherwise, the ROM seems to work pretty well. With the exception of the camera: as with other ROMs: selfies are limited to 4 Mpixs (even with GCam).

hmm, both of my banking apps working just fine using magisk hide & hide and rename magisk manager app, so not sure why it's not working for you...
check if your device passes safetynet test either with or without magisk, selinux should be enforcing

All in all, love it! Thank you!
Two issues that I found:
Sound is a bit distorted in comparison with Arrow OS or stock.
Brightness lives its own life, needs constant tweaking.

Good sense of humor! Yes, the brightness issue raises its head in all ROMs like birth pangs in a baby.
I'm waiting with bated breath for the OSS version to come up next month before I migrate from Arrow. Don't want to keep backing.restoring my data every other day.

There's issue with ro.debuggable which will get fixed in my next official build, for now you can flash this magisk module - https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix/releases

Decided to give another try. Brightness is not that terrible this time.
Stumbled upon non-working Android Auto.
This is a common LOS problem according to the net and might be caused by gapps.

I experimented a big issue.
I was under crDroid 7.7 with rmcrypt.zip to be sure to have no problem with encryption.
I tryed to update manually to version 7.8 (with the same rmcrypt.zip) and the system stayed frozzen at boot on the colored eye (colors loop again and again for hours).
After this bad experience, I tryed again to update without rmcrypt.zip : same result.
But after that, my data was unaccessible. The only solution was to format and came back to v7.7. It was impossible to install v 7.8 :-(
Of course, I need to reinstall and setup all my apps. Was it a problem with gapps and my uncrypted system ?
So, is it possible to have a vanilla version of v7.8 ?

latest CrDroid 7.8 is OSS vendor based, while changing vendors MIUI -> OSS clean flash is mandatory, for decryption you should use DFE, check below...

around a week ago the dev asked on telegram if we want vanilla version and when people said yes, he said "OMK will post after 2 hours" (whatever that means), but so far nothing like vanilla hadn't been released

Yes it's enforcing. U can use banking apps without magisk. Safetynet will pass. No need of flashing gapps. Rom has gapps.
Just flash rom > format data > reboot to system.

It's just initial build. there is no customisation.

@chiru2000 I was able to install the latest build without any issues, however now I am unable to decrypt the data in twrp recovery. I have installed the latest official build of twrp. I have tried both with and without setting a password for my phone. Any thoughts?
Usage experience has been wonderful so far. All my banking apps work without any issue(ICICI, Axis, Idfc, RBL Bank works). Indusind bank app gives the rooted device error( was able to install it on my work profile) Work profile also works without any issues. Whatsapp also displays the rooted device message.
Battery backup is decent. The battery usage page is not showing correct information.
While charging, on the lock screen it says 4 hours to fully charge, but it actually charges the phone in the usual fast charge duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
So overall a very smooth and consistent build that can be used as a daily driver. Thanks a lot for your hard work. One more excellent built under your name

-Data won't decrypt untill we get TWRP made for Android 12. The latest TWRP is for Android 11.
-Tick mark Whatsapp too in Magisk hide.
-Will check about battery usage

I use this rom and see: the device heats up quickly (not game,only web and facebook), the charging is not timely, so I don't know if there is fast charging, lack of many features, no face unlock, fast battery drain. in general should only test experience

oh this is so great and perfect ROM ! So fluent! 。。。Current Best ROM for POCO X2!

@chiru2000 how to go back while unable to decrypt the data in twrp recovery.

An excellent ROM again, smooth and fresh. I have been using it as a daily driver for about a week now.
No issues whatsoever (Atleast I didn't face any).
Just a request, (I know this is an initial build with no customization)
Add double tap to sleep and swipe on the status bar to adjust brightness features. It would make the rom complete in my opinion.

I flashed EvolutionX back after trying ArrowOS. It worked fine. I believe it will be the same.

hey there, thank you for you superb work..this rom is awesome but camera is not working properly,front facing camera and video mode both are not working

Flashed the rom yesterday, and hot some feedback :
1) Dirty flash over 7.13 didn't worked for me, bootlooped. I had to format data and clean flash (but I had magisk install and I switched from NickGapps to FlamesGapps, so it may bé related to that). Google sync had a bit of a struggle to trigger (it did eventualy, after reboot, and all my apps were reinstalled)
2) internet deconnection. Wifi and data sometime just crash (I have the bars but get a "!" next to it). Fixed by rebooting
3) minor UI freezes (had those with 7.13 too, may be related to Signal app, as it happens on SMS reception)
4) sound is saturated on phone call, but it's a known bug from los 19

Nothing I can really do about that, it's still charging but the metrics for calculating that do not work for our device properly.

Hi all. I'm interested to try this rom in my xiaomi 11T Pro (VILI).
Just 1 question. What dialer is installed? I'm interested to record calls automatically like Miui 13 Indonesian does and dont like google dealer very much.

well this is for google pixel 3 series not for xiaomi and dialer is depend on developer choice ask your dev/maintainer about that,btw here i use aosp dialer instead of google dialer

u on latest version? cuz i still using crdroid rom as primary so i had lot of calls too

if u had kernel manager app check microphone gain under soundcontrol, try to increase or decrease value ,may be that can help

The microphone works in general, but does not work when making calls through the built-in dialer, or it works very quietly through Google phone. It is also impossible to activate eSIM if it has not been activated before. If you fix the microphone on calls, I will definitely take it for permanent use.

Actually it kind of weird it works perfectly fine for me if u had time just ping me on telegram i try to diagnose

Help need it can`t install Magisk
ps BTW love the rom great job guys
