How do I enable BT calling without the screen turned on? - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I usually dial by name using my headset. I often have my phone in my pocket which means I need to take it out of my pocket and aim the phone at my face and or unlock the screen to make the call. How do I disable this wonderful "feature" so I can use my phone without touching it?

I went to settings, smart lock, trusted devices - added my BT headset. My phone no longer locks but unless the screen is turned on it won't use voice dial from the BT headset so I'm still missing a step.

Bluetooth Working/Not Working

Hi,
Have a XDA O2i and I have a motorola blue tooth handsfree.
I have been using these together fine for a while now. I have also purchased Voice Command. So my mobile speaks the number calling and my calendar reminders etc via the phones speaker and never through the bluetooth which I would dearly love. Then all of the sudden the other day Voice Command started working through the bluetooth headset and I was getting the calls announced on my bluetooth and it was fantastic. Then I tried to use the XDA and the thing was locked and I needed to reset it. Once it had been reset, it went back to announcing stuff via the phones speaker. Now I know it can be done, I want to know if there is a backdoor hack that can make this permanent and keep the XDA working at the same time. Anyone here know of this.
On a further note, I think it would be even better if you could use the bluetooth to make calls through the voice command software rather than having to use the actuall phone which sort of defeats the who functionality.
Anyway any help would be great.

My headset (a Jabra) has 2 connection settings with the XDA2i.
In standby mode you get a headphones symbol on the PDA display
In active mode the headphones have lines coming out of them
To switch between the two modes on the Jabra you tap the call button on the headset.
I don't know if this will work, but give it a try.

Additional BT problems??

Hello All,
I know that the HD2 doesn't have voice dialling but I've also noticed something else.
With my SE phone and BT on I can dial from the phone but have the option of continuing to use the phone for the call or use the BT headset. I realized this today (just got the HD2 2 days ago) when trying to initiate a call from the phone while I had the BT function on it always goes to the BT headset unless I turn off the BT function.
Unless I'm missing something can anyone tell me if there's an app or a setting to enable this feature?
TIA
No one knows?

Bluetooth Headset and lockscreen

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations for a problem I have with my GN2,
The problem is that I use a pattern lockscreen with my GN2 and when I use my Motorola 730 bluetooth headset to make outgoing calls, it won't work when the screen is locked. It looks like this is because the phone activates the phone's voice dialer, sVoice, which won't launch when the screen is locked. Is there a workaround for this, or a similar bluetooth headset that will work with a locked screen? I would like to both make and receive calls when driving, without having to put in the diabolical pattern I use to unlock the screen.
Thanks in advance,
-Plaz
I have the same problem with my Galaxy S2 and now this phone when a lockscreen pattern is used.
I have the same problem. Except I'm using a Jawbone Icon and face unlock. From what I can tell it might be because it's trying to open S Voice instead of the normal Google Apps or it's Touch Wiz. Either way When I'm on the road, which is all the time it is super annoying to have to unlock my phone before using the hands free...

I think I found the solution but I have to test it with my note 2. Download automateit pro from play store and toggle it so that Bluetooth connected will bypass lockscreen and bluetooth disconnected will engage lockscreen. For $1.60 it is worth a try. For some reason it still won't work on my GS 2. From a lockscreen, as soon as I connect the bluetooth, the pattern screenlock is disable and I can operate the phone BUT I still can't activate voice dialing either from the headset or long press search. The voice control app still think the phone is lock. It maybe because I am on custom ROM on my GS 2.

OK I think I found the solution to this locked screen and making outgoing call with bluetooth using S Voice.
When you use a lock screen of some sort besides the swipe, you get this problem. You are fishing, the phone is in the waterproof case, or in your pant pocket, you activate S Voice using your bluetooth and S voice will not come up since the phone is locked and you can't make voice dialing until you unlock the screen.
Solution:
Tap the green phone app, select call settings, Accessory settings for call, look under BT headset settings for outgoing calls, enable Make calls even when device locked.
Now using my LG stereo bluetooth headset, I still can't directly access the S voice when the screen is locked. But, I can long press the call button(on my BT headset) and then it will dial the last number called. Then I quickly hang up, lightly press the call button(on my BT headset), and then S voice will be enable and I can say "Call David Mobile or play music, etc).

If you're paired to phone via Bluetooth, make sure you're not connected to number sync... In order to use the voice diameter to initiate a call from your phone: settings -> Bluetooth -> enable phone audio: ON
Note when you "OK Google, call Batman" it will dial through your phone (if data is enabled it will prompt you to choose phone or watch).
Two annoyances:
1. Even though it's now using your phone, it will default to the watch speaker and microphone- obviously you can change on your phone's call screen to phone. Unfortunately, without phone audio enabled in Bluetooth it will not route calls through your phone.
2. If numbersync is on, the watch will assume it's a phone, even if paired. But, you just have to toggle it off (rather than disassociating).
Good luck!

Hi.
I have a similar problem. In the LG Watch Urbane 1 gen all worked fine, in 2 I have a problem because I am using a Bluetooth headset. And I wanted to call with a Bluetooth set instead of a watch. If enabled "enable phone audio: ON" then the watch is ringing only by the watch, as I turn off it stops ringing completely. Is there any way to solve this problem?
Solved
I solved the problem using two applications "Bluetooth Auto Connect" and "MacroDroid".

Smart callback (DualSIM) over Bluetooth

Is there a way, or a planned system upgrade, to make "Smart callback" work over Bluetooth? Or, alternatively, a way to assing contact to a SIM? At the moment the phone is unusable for calls in a car because it always prompts which SIM to use when making a call, which means that the car's Bluetooth dial interface cannot be used without answering that question on the phone itself, which is against the law. All other dual sim phones I had in the past handled this by remembering which SIM was used for the last call on a per-contact basis, but OnePlus does not. I have tried various third-party dialler applications, most of them don't work well with Bluetooth.
Try this
