"knox license validation completed successfully" - toast EVERY second - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hi everyone,
I've tried looking for a solution to this online but to no avail - hoping someone could point me in the right direction here.
I keep getting the "Knox license validation completed successfully" popup on my screen. It makes it super annoying to text, read, etc, as it affects the bottom-most part of the screen. The toast is also literally almost every second (screenshot attached).
I can't seem to find what's prompting this. One moment I'm using my phone and it's constantly popping up - then I turn my screen off for a bit - and when I open again, it's gone. I've seen people mention Anydesk - I uninstalled it awhile ago; same with zoom. I only recently installed Teams, but the problem pre-dates that.
Any suggestions on how I can find out what's causing this and/or just solve it?
Thanks

Begginers SMS problem with TYTN2

Howdy, I have the Vario 3 incarnation of the Kaiser and have had for the last 5 months, I've run it pretty standardly, not upgrading any software or tweaking to any degree. software installation has only run to tcmcp player and google maps along with opera. Recently however i've experienced a problem with sms;
Essentially the sms inbox/sent screen has started acting oddly, tapping on a text message no longer opens it, it selects it along with the first message on the screen (similar to pressing CTRL while selecting multiple files in windows) mad tapping of the screen will open a message but it is the top message, the only way to get into the message i choose is by not using the touchscreen and scrolling down through the hard keys. Also when sending a text the formatting has gone all weird and it will start moving down the lines by itself.
As an example i am currently sending my friend a message calling him a swine and what i intended to send was
'Swine Swine Swine'
it's come out as:
'Swine
Sw
I
ne
S
Wi
N
E'
once it's tabbed down to the next line if i try to move the cursor back up it just immediately moves back down to next line. Switching the handset off and back on again fixes the formatting but only for a limited period (i get one text) then it switches back.
I've done a reset settings but i'm pretty stumped to be honest. and also a hard reset followed by a soft reset so it doesn't load t-mobile stuff just now still no solution.
Any suggestions?
oh it's using the default windows 6.1 fully updated at the moment.
oh is there a beginners guide to tweaking and so on with roms, i wouldn't mind getting this thing a touch snappier and understand there's a risk of bricking your device but would like to minimise my chances
never heard of that problem, and yes there are many guides on how to update your rom. I'm new and i found it fairly easy to put new roms on my kaiser.

Help with Annoying "Cannot Connect error"

Every time my phone is on, it seems to be trying to connect intermittently. Then a get a error display as follows:
"Cannot Connect
Dialled:
Cannot connect for an unknown reason.
....
....
"
Then at the bottom are the "Settings" and "Dismiss"
options. Taping the "Dismiss" closes this error display while the "Settings" takes me to the "Connections and GPRS" Screen.
I know this was originally posted some time ago. But the o.p didn't seem to ask a question about it.
I am having the same problem with the "cannot connect for an unknown reason" bubble popping up.
I know the reason, it's more than likely because on my travels i drive in an out of coverage.
But I would like to know if there is a cab/fix etc that can suppress this bubble popping up (short of turning off the data connection), as it is particularly annoying especially when I am using my sat nav and it totally obscures the screen until i touch the screen. And I would rather not have to do this when driving.
I have done some searching on here and google but nothing seems to mention this problem specifically. If I have missed some glaringly obvious post then I apologise in advance.
Many thanks for any help you can give,
Paul.
This just started happening to me too very recently. For the past 2 weeks. I've had my Tilt almost since it came out. I have the ATT WM 6.1 rom.
Is there some reason why this keeps happening? It especially happens at about 1AM when I'm trying to fall asleep, and it happens several times so it keeps beeping the ALERT tone when it happens.
Very annoying... (GRRRR)

HTC Dream root

Okay, I'm not really sure where this would fall under, so I didn't know any keywords to search, so I'm sorry if this was already posted.
My problem is that this is my first ever attempt at rooting, and of course I was quickly overwhelmed by the different tutorials and information you needed, so eventually I followed this tutorial: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Dream_Rooting
Now, I reformatted the Dream, and was smart enough to save my apps, but stupid enough to forget about everything else, text messages pictures etc... (However I didn't really care cause I was excited about rooting my phone )
I completed the "Downgrading from RC30/RC9 and up" step (I have a Rogers HTC Dream) and continued onto the "Next Steps" part. This is where my problem begins. I followed up to the point where it says to "Press Alt-S to apply the update from the SD card." and that is where my Dream begins to fail.
I try to update it but it gives me a log of errors as follows:
Installing from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(No such file or directory)
Installation aborted.
Press Home+Back to Reboot
I thought this meant that I didn't put the update.zip in or something before downgrading. So I went to plug in my Dream, and to my shock I can't even access the drive from my computer.
So I figured what the hell lets see what happens. I load up my Dream, and instead of the Rogers/HTC Brand logo I see the T-Mobile G1 pop up with Android right after.
It invites me to use gmail and that I need to sign up or create a new one before continuing. Of course I try to sign on with my gmail, it doesn't work, I try to create a new one, I find out that I can't connect to the internet. (I do have a data plan with Rogers)
So as of now after staying up for countless hours trying to figure out how to fix this problem I turn to the experienced people. I would like to ask if anyone has experience this problem and if anyone can help me.
Again, if this was already posted before, I apologize. It's four in the morning here, and I'm tired of trying to root this phone, so I may not be thinking straight
Thanks.
scroll farther down that page, there are instrucitons for a rogers dream, that is what you should have followed, I can't really tell what stage you are actually at, but I'm guessing you have a stock t-mobile rom on there now. do you still have the ability to use fastboot? if so, things should be easy enough, stop by chat.freenode.net:6667 #android-root, peeps there can help easy
Well, I tried the Camera+Power button combo, and now it gives me a screen with four colors
Red
Green
Blue
White
And on the Red stripe it says:
DREA210 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29
SEP 2 2008
And the screen before that was all gray and said
NO ALLOW
Now I'm just completely lost. And plus how do I join that chat room it won't let me join the #android-root it just gives me

Well I found out another problem. There is currently no way to access my phone through USB connection and whatnot. I tried this link:
http://modmygphone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=51891&postcount=12|
To even more confusing lengths
If anyone can please help me, I'll really be thankful
OH MY GOD YESSS
5 IN THE MORNING AND STILL COMING UP WITH IDEAS!!!
Thanks to anyone who was trying to figure it out (I'm gonna guess only a few of you guys since its 5 in the morning ) But I managed to finally get to the home screen!
I figured since I'm on the T-mobile stock rom now I'm more then likely to be on the T-mobile APN'S (Or w.e)
Of course I accidentally pressed menu by accident and it gave me the option to edit my APN setting and I put in my Rogers apn settings and it worked!

[Q] Urgent help required (Device appears dead)

Hello,
This is my first time posting here, and I would like to request anyone on here to please assist me with the problem I am currently facing. I bought an unlocked, rooted HTC One with stock Android 4.3 installed as it's sole, primary OS this past summer. The person I bought it from is the one who actually rooted the phone, as my knowledge of such processes is fairly limited. I understand there are plenty of complications that I may run into dealing with this problem on my own and technical references may be lost on me, but I'm fairly competent enough to follow instructions from someone who may be able to help.
Here's the problem: I received an Android 4.4 OS update yesterday, which downloaded automatically and asked me if I wanted to install it. I thought the process would be fairly simple and I would not encounter any problems. However, when I asked the update to register and install, first it went into boot (I'm not certain which software was used for root), then the process started and everything seemed to be going fine until 'Patching files onto the whatever' came up and then it appeared that I encountered an error and the phone automatically went into what I can only assume is the bootloader menu? There were big Stock Android looking buttons on it which said things like Install, Root, Settings and a few others I don't recall. I tried to hit Install to see what happened and it brought me back to the part where 4.4 was supposed to be installed and I could read the error message at the end of it which said something like 'Error in patching files to zip folder or something', and I went back to the supposed bootloader menu. Confused and afraid, I think I pressed a button which I felt would allow me to reboot my phone and bring me back to my original 4.3 OS and that I would still be able to use my phone. First it said something like 'You no longer have root permissions', and there was an option where I could slide to apparently 'fix this', but I selected the 'don't fix' option as I obviously had no idea what I was doing. After this, the phone attempted to reboot, and a turquoise blue screen with strange markings came up on it and my phone hung. I killed the phone with the master power button and held it to switch off the phone.
BUT now, even since that has happened, my phone appears to be dead. It isn't starting up. When I put it on charge, the red LED doesn't show up. I have tried to used several ways to turn on my phone but it just wouldn't work.
I would like some light to be shed on this particular problem, and if anyone has experienced something similar to this, PLEASE, help me in fixing this. I am an eager learner and despite my limited, close to non-existent knowledge about dealing with a phone's OS, I know I can learn fast and follow instructions cleanly.
Please help me. Thank you.

Security policy prevents use of camera

I have no idea how this happened, but at some point yesterday, I picked up my phone and noticed that the wallpaper changed. Weird, but didn't think much of it.
Later, I went to use the camera, and no dice - I got a popup with the above error message. Weird, but again, I didn't think anything of it. Forced closed the camera app, didn't help. Restarted my phone, didn't help. Realized I may have a bigger issue. I started googling the error message and people recommended toggling a setting in the developer options called sensors on/off. I tried both and neither work. I cleared the cache and cleared the data and no dice.
Does anyone know under what circumstances this error would pop up? I'm trying to think of something that I may have done, but I'm not really a tinkerer, so I can't imagine it's anything I did. It's bizarre. And given that I have two little kids, I like to have my camera at my disposal at all times. I haven't had it working for about a day, and already I've tried at least 5 times to take a picture, just to be like "damn, it's not working".
Please help. Any suggestions? What about wiping the cache partition? Would that help? Anything but a factory reset!
I'm also getting a popup "Memory/cache/history cleared" very regularly, and I never did before. I googled the error, with quotes, and a few results show up on Japanese sites. Wtf.
