Question Mi 11 ultra fastboot loop - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

I have bricked Mi 11 Ultra 12/512 CN version. Cant enter Recovery, also it has locked bootloader.
What amazes me, I paid for EDL flash, it didn't work. Phone just bootloops 10 times and gets in fastboot again.
Also, i tried shorting pins method to enter EDL, in unofficial service store, that didnt help too.
My phone has a different problem.
Does anyone know how to fix my phone, would motherboard replacement help? (Its hard to find them too).
Official Xiaomi service in EU cant fix my phone because of Chinese IMEI, they dont have support for it.
Selling phone for parts doesnt work too, because no one wants to sink money into new expensive phone.

When in fastboot mode, flash the stock rom your phone came with.

When you do that, MiFlash asks you for authorized account. You cant flash alone using MiFlash if the bootloader is locked.

Best to send the phone back to china to be repaired if that is an option.

Thanks, i have some friend travelling from my country to China now and then so i will see what i can do.

Can you explain what exactly you've done?
from what you said I understand that you've flashed a different rom and locked boot loader. and now it is stuck in bootloop and fastboot. is that correct?
as long as you can go to fastboot. have you tried to unlock bootloader again your official unlock tool? happened with me and it worked, once unlocked bootloop stopped and device ran into system straight away. as simple as that. and yes, with non official rom installed and locked bootloader.
if you can explain to us a bit more from the beginning that would be more helpful.

[Brick] Xiaomi Mi5 64GB (Locked BL, No EDL, No Recovery)

OK here is my problem,
I got a brand new Xiaomi Mi5 64GB and the first thing that I did was to connect it with Mi PC Suite to check for updates.
It found an update and started to update until it failed, after that the device couldn't normal boot or recovery boot (Vol+ and POWER went to a black screen with "mi logo" same as normal boot).
View attachment 3788573
I can only boot on fastboot mode, but can't do anything in the fastboot as BL is locked.
Official BL unlocking method can't work as device isn't linked to any Mi Account and MiFlashUnlock can't verify my device.

Read OP again please.
1. I CAN'T boot into recovery.
2. I CAN'T boot EDL.
3. I CAN boot just into Fastboot, but Bootloader is Locked.
4. I CAN'T unlock BL via official methode as there is no linked Mi Account on Device.
I think that i need a hardware way to unlock BL.
Have you tried this method to see if it works?

You CAN boot into recovery, don't be silly. Have you read the instructions?
Hold volume up and power button and a MI logo should came up, that's the recovery.

Recovery was a black screen with a white phone, not "mi".
Phone is not detectable anyway if i normally or vol+ boot.
Im not a noob i know what recovery is, so i need answers with the facts that i mention before, no recovery, no edl, unlockable bl.
Im gonna send it to repair shop anyway but still my situation is a big problem that xiaomi should look into it. I get bricked via official update tool, and i cant unlock bl cause xiaomi's unlocking tool stupidly requires linked mi account on device to verify.
When you boot into fastboot and update in mipc suite, it doesn't work ?
I don't understand why official tool need unlock bootloader, it's insane from Xiaomi

Mi PC Suite doesn't recognize device in fastboot mode, it returns a screen to connect in normal mode first.
Only MiFlash can see the device in fastboot but it needs unlocked BL to flash the Official fastboot ROMs. Madness!
Aarff just, you're right
Just speculation but maybe can you reboot in recovery with adb commands ? (adb reboot recovery)
Or maybe download twrp, run shell from where it is saved and run
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img[
?

Oh yes sorry, it's a phone, my bad.
Then the recovery works fine for you, just the PC doesn't recognise it, which is driver or windows problem, not your phone.
SpinoRex: Fastboot doesn't work because of the locked bootloader. Only option is the official recovery with chinese mi pc suite.
check this post : en.miui. com/thread-299790-1-1.html
You need Engineering Flash Cable
They are in the same situation ... solved?
Mi suite in chinese
You may try to use MI SUITE in Chinese. I was in your exact situation trying to remove a fake rom from my MI5, but with this I solved all the issues.
Just one advice: don't use a pre-loaded ROM, let the program to download it from the internet.
you can boot your device into edl mode with a special fastboot
just type "fastboot reboot" to go to the Edl mode and flash rom with miFlash

Unbrick Xiaomi Mi A2 [jasemine]

Hello,
i have bought a new Xiaomi Mi A2 and thought it would be a really nice idea to flash magisk on it. First everything was alright. I unlocked my bootloader in fastboot with "fastboot oem unlock" and flashed twrp on the b partition. Unfortunately my device broke (don't know why... maybe the unofficial twrp with some bugs or...). So now i have a really big problem, because my twrp recovery is missing as well as the stock recovery. When i try to switch on the mobile i am stuck in bootloop (with the mi logo). Not even the bootloader warning is shown.
Fastboot mode is working but not really nice. Not even the mitu appears, no the display is black (or doesn't show anything.. The device's display is on).
My Mi A2 is recognized by the computer so I considered to flash the stock rom with fastboot.
I thought it would work, but in the mi flash programm i got the erorr: flash devcfg_a error.
Now i can't switch my mobile off, because when I'm holding the power button, it restarts and restarts and restarts...
I know i am stupid and maybe have done something wrong, but i would be soooo happy to get some help
Thank you so much!
Fastboot flashing unlock_critical
(It will wipe /data)
then flash with mi flash
But before doing that, try just flashing stock boot
Fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
Or boot_b if that's your active slot

Unfortunately i have wiped everything in twrp before (when it worked) so there's nothing stored on the device.
When i type in critical unlock only a big list of commands appears which can be used.... ?

After doing something dumb (I typed some wrong commands I think) my A2 got into the infinite reboot, never got out of the android logo, I tried everything and literally thought I lost my phone for good ;n;
I downloaded "jasmine_global_images_V10.0.2.0.PDIMIFJ_20181206.0000.00_9.0_02b8deeb6d.tar" and flashed that on miflash and watched my phone come back from the dead like frankestein or something. Xiaomi MI 9 Stuck in EDL cannot enter Fastboot or Recovery

Hi Guys, I have a terrible problems with my MI 9 Chinese Firmware. A year ago I've unlocked the bootloader and install Global Rom, my phone was normal and smooth for a year, never had any problem before.
The problem is 1 week ago my phone suddenly freeze (MIUI 12), it restart sometimes but no service and no wifi, sometimes wifi and celllular working but with unstable signal. when I turned off-on wifi, it stuck at "turning on" and then the phone freeze again and suddenly dead and won't boot, after a few tries my phone stuck in boot loop, sometimes hang on MI and MIUI color logo, and sometimes MIUI color logo got distorted. So I tried Recovery mode to wipe all, but nothing work.
Later I boot my phone to Fastboot and flash my phone with MiFlash Tool Global ROM, flashing is completed and my phone boot to menu but android setting is not working, wifi and cellullar not working too, so I can't setup my phone, then I restart my phone again and back to boot loop (Sometimes stuck in MI logo - Sometimes stuck in Snapdragon logo). I don't know what that means.
FInally I Flashed my phone back to Chinese ROM and Re-Lock Bootloader via Fastboot, after flashing done, for the first time after boot loop for 2 days my phone went boot to menu but.. Cellular and wifi still unstable and ofter freeze and reboot itself, then I force reboot again but now cellular and wifi completely dead. Then I Fastboot and flash my phone again with same rom, when the flashing process my electricity is down and my PC is shut down, after that my phone stuck in EDL mode (COM20), and cannot boot into Recovery or Fastboot.
When I tried to flash in EDL it said (ERROR) System.Exception: authentication failed. "your account is unauthorized for this operation". I Google for solution but found nothing.
And now I really frustrated and can't do anything. If someone here could understand the situation and help me to get out this situation I really appreciate it.

Bump!
Hi I may have a solution for you.
This is caused my locking of bootloader when flashing rom that is not supported on locked bootloader.
Use mi unlock to unlock your device before flashing this and make sure to NEVER LOCK THE BOOTLOADER (in case you accidentally flash the wrong non compatible firmware with locked BOOTLOADER.)
This happen on my redmi K30 Pro Zoom and I hope this solitit helps you...
All the best!

Check brom exploit. Basically you can bypass Xiaomi authentication to flash without it. You need to download python, set up some libraries, and if you're in edl mode just connect phone to pc and you can avoid it. I know when you bypass it you can flash with sp flash tool the stock rom. Don't know if you can with mi flash too.

Question Redmi Note 10 5G Bricked no fastboot/recovery

Hi all, dumbass me was so excited to get a new phone, I went around Redmi Note 10 ROMs on my Note 10 5G and bricked it... It won't boot into fastboot or recovery. assistance... you have lost warranty. anyway you can try this metod (work with my old mia3 but have a qualcomm chipset)
first: CLOSE YOUR PHONE!
install mi pro flash tool https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=14943124697586360238
PRESS power+ vol up+vold -
connet to pc via USB
OPEN MIflash tool pro
if your phone will be recognized you can flash stock firmware
with miflash pro you can install all drivers you need (but i'm not sure, test by yourself)
good luck.
if this procedure don't work go to an assistance point. you have damaged the bootloader
before mod devices with a/b partitions is very important read guides with attention. if you don't want trash a new device
you can also try sp flash tool, specific for mtk devices

did you even open it? tannedcan in every single post where there are instructions how to root/unlock/change rom
there is a DISCLAIMER for a reason.
that msg remark that you can brick your device if you dont know what you are doing or if you have doubts!
most of times things can be recovered but NEVER open a device in warranty.

When I boot it up holding the up/power buttons, the screen lights up and phone gets briefly recognized by my computer before rebooting. I've done some digging around and tried to find edl point? of this phone but couldn't get far. Any help would be appreciated! View attachment 5431881

Press mobile three buttons and connect cable to pc (use USB 2.0) to enter BROM mode (are like ERL mode in Snapdragon models). Because mtk models don't have test point. So don't need to disarm mobile.

assistance... you have lost warranty. anyway you can try this metod (work with my old mia3 but have a qualcomm chipset)
first: CLOSE YOUR PHONE!
install mi pro flash tool https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=14943124697586360238
How-to flash or install Stock ROM (Firmware) using SP Flash Tool

even though i have tried same with diffrent PCs and diffrent cables
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE HELP because this is by far the biggest obstacle I had in this precedure
It is not OK, you are the only one
Start from BROM mode and proceed from there.

I appreciate your response but
i did it all
i already have python the last version
i downloaded the MTK driver
i pressed the whole 3 buttons in the phone connected to PC (the phone didn't give any output at all)
i did set it up (which does appear and dissapear in every 5secs so I had to be quick)
then for the main.py file didn't capture the phone (obviously because I constantly hear the devices get recognized and unrecognized and nor the cable nor the PC are the cause
the theeere I am, stuck in the very 1st step.
please I would be so thankful if you could diagnose the problem just for me to know what to do.
personally I don't think it's a phone hardware problem because back in the days lol i unlocked bootloader and installed recovery, all was very functional and everything responded smoothly
if you wanted to know any other detail i would be so pleasured to tell you
I don't have the time now. Earliest I can help you is on Monday. Send me a PM to arrange for it.

Question Reflashing stock ROM on bootlooping device

Hi.
Bought this phone 4 months ago and it went into a boot loop, where it would only show the battery empty icon. Yesterday, I tried turning it on again and noticed, that it's stuck at the Redmi - Powered by Android" screen. From this screen, I can enter fastboot. See this video:
VID_20230417_194410.mp4
drive.google.com
I've read that there are a couple of options for reflashing this device:
- aks someone with the authorized Xiaomi account to reflash stock rom using the MiFlash tool (no bootloader unlock needed)
- put the device somehow into ETL mode and reflash stock rom using the MiFlash tool (no bootloader unlock needed)
I've tried contacting someone, who for #1, but they aren't willing to help, for some reason (I'm wiling to pay). For #2, I'd have to open up the device, which I'd like to avoid doing.
Would anybody know of any other options for fixing this?
Thank you in advance!
okay, which version of MIUI are you running?
first get the fastboot rom of the version your phone supports , i recommend the global version fastboot rom , because it works and its stable and u get your updates
download this fastboot rom first
Temporary file download page
miuirom.org
and I will give you the MI flash tool working version at like 6 hours after, Ill post the remaining steps after you download this , btw, you will get a .tgz file , when u download the Rom, thats the one you need

If you can boot into fastboot, then it is already enough.
Now, I suppose your bootloader is still locked
You need to download a MIUI ROM from "EEA", from any trusted website, and remember to download the "Fastboot" ROM to flash it (my favorite is mifirm.net, it downloads faster)
Install MiFlashPro - attached at the end of the thread
Open it up, and you will be greeted with this.
Click on the "Mi Flash" tab, as it is the only one we need.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
You will be greeted with this window now:
After you have done downloading your ROM, extract it to any place.
If MiFlash does not recognise the directory you have extracted in, move it to C:\. Not any external drive, your main one
Now click on the "select" button box, go to your ROM directory, and simply select its folder
Boot your device into fastboot (PWR + VOL-), click on "refresh" button box and your device serial number should appear on the first line.
Now simply click "flash" and let it do its job for 10 to 15 minutes. It will reboot automatically.
If you dont succeed, please read this thread:
Thread '[GUIDE] UNBRICK YOUR HARD-BRICKED MTK' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-unbrick-your-hard-bricked-mtk.4564029/
You will require BROM and to bypass and to flash via SP Tool.

You have either got confused, or being scammed
Newer MTK devices do not require the opening of the device. I suppose you have been probably confused with a Qualcomm Snapdragon based service, that does require the opening, so you can access EDL mode and flash your phone into life, or someone just put up the Redmi Note 10 5G and is a scam, also, on MTK, you do not need to pay for a authorized Mi account. On MTK, it is easily bypassable due to BROM
Thank you both.
I put ran MiFlashPro, pointed it towards the downloaded eea stock rom file and attempted to flash it, but got this error message:
So I presume this is due to locked bootloader? I'll try to follow the second link.
I actually managed to enter recovery mode and do a factory reset. Currently setting it up and plan on updating it.

Good to hear you got sorted. I basically bricked my phone last week (only 3 weeks old ) after trying to switch from MIUI 13 Global to EEA. I managed to get it into BROM mode and used MTK Auth Bypass which allowed me to use Chimera Tools to flash the phone again as nothing else seems to work with a locked bootloader. Currently running MIUI 14 with root and magisk optimisations (blur/high end tweaks, MIUI monet etc) and loving it! Just need a way to bypass Play Integrity API for Google Wallet
