Hello everyone - Introductions

I'm just tried of Boost running me around. I have a Samsung Galaxy A11. I'm trying to do a network unlock. I did the "Platform-Tools_r31.0.3". I got it export open it up in Windows Power shell and nothing. the window was open for my phone so I dragged and dropped the file on top if the phone on the icon so it's on my phone. But thats all. I think I need the Daemon program. This is my first time doing something like this. Am a freshman at South University, Cyber Security and Networking. So I'm fresh. This is fun for me. I'm willing to learn. I can use all the help I can get.

AT&T Tilt Data connection configuration problems

Hello,
I have searched all over for an answer to my problem, and have not found anything of real relevance. I am using the AT&T Tilt with AT&T service.
I have just downloaded and installed the firmware at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556293 . I was hoping the software upon install would configure the data connection by itself upon initial startup. But alas, this did not happen. Is there any application that I can get that can configure my data connection for me?
You must not have searched in the proper area of all over.
Found this on the first try ..

First off, thank you. The setup wizard cab worked perfectly. But are you really sure that you need to be this degrading to an xda-developers n00b? Im pretty sure you knew you knew exactly what you were looking for, whereas I did not.
Again, thanks for the help!
dude I just typed in att data settings, nothing impossibly hard to figure out. Next time I'll just say something like " search harder nub"..
How did you not know what you were looking for? You spelled it right out !

Degrading would be me having you dress up like a woman that has been crying and have you beg me for the answer.
true, i did spell it out myself, (sort of). next time, i should look harder, and i am sorry i took time out of your day. What I do not intend to do, however, is take up even more of your time rambling on for two hours in this post and start an argument, by so doing destroying any dignity that either of us might have.
Just as a side note, I would not beg you for the answer. this is the Internet. I would simply search somewhere else online. Given that I have the choice of being degraded or searching somewhere else online, I dont think it is possible for you to degrade me.
Seriously, though, thanks for your help. I really do appreciate it.

[Q] I want to make sure I have this right

Sooooo I came up on a T-Mobile G1 from a buddy of mine. A little beat up but after 3 and a half years with a t-mo wing it's about time to upgrade my old phone for a not so old phone. Went through the effort and went through my buddy @ likenewcells.com to get the thing unlocked rather quickly I might add.
My scenario, I don't have a data plan... I have scoured the threads about how to register your G1 without a SIM or data endlessly only to be stuck at getting the adb drivers installed. One key thing I have done so far is downgrade myself to RC29 so I can confirm <enter> reboot <enter> works Yet for the life of me I have tried yelling at it, insulting it, even sending it death threats... NOTHING! hehe
Upon further reading it's mentioned that I need to root the thing first to get adb working, is that correct? I have heard the legends of a rooted phone and the fortune it brings. Unfortunately if I am unable to get past the registration screen then what am I to do? Given that all of the guides say you need to do some things on the phone. Mess with this setting, download something from a site using the browser, whisper sweet nothings in it's ear. I've read many guides in the past week on how to get adb working. One similarity is "you need root access" in them all casual like. Not bad mouthing any of the guides and what not hehe.
I appreciate any information anyone is willing to share with me regarding how to get adb working and / or rooting given my situation. I waited a while to make a post here after carefully reading and scouring the many tutorials for a solution to either. My t-mo wing is falling apart literally and I am done with it.
There is one thing that did help me think maybe just maybe is I was able to enable adb by typing <enter>setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1<enter> Unfortunately I still couldn't get the drivers installed.
Now a healthy question I feel would be is there a similar command I can type at the no sim card screen to get into my wifi settings?
Once again I thank everyone here for any info they're down to share with me.

TPDebrick-v004 Error SSH Cinnection Refused

Hello All!
I hope someone here can help me, cause this is driving me nuts! Basically I have got a HP Touchpad, and it was stuck in a reboot loop. So, I have tried to run TPDebrick through it to try and just reset everything.
So - got most of the script running, until it hits the part after the "ping check". It says "SSH Host:192.168.7.7 port 22: connection refused."
I can ping the ip all ok, but get the same error as the script when I try running both "ssh" and "telnet" commands to the IP address...
Can anyone shed any light on this please??
Did You get it fixed.
Howdy Were you able to debrick your Touchpad?

Yes, I was successful in bringing it back from the grave. UNFORTUNATELY in violation of the spirit of these forum, I did not take notes, and really and truly forgot what I did to affect the debrick.
With that said, I seem to recall that there was an issue with my intranet. I use the 172.16.0.0/24 address on my local network. It seems to me I had to change back to a 198.162.1.0/24 set of address for the local network. Or something like that.
I had spent a couple of nights sitting on the couch in front of the TV trying different stuff. Not with any real plan of action, just an unorganized persistence. When I did get it to unbrick, I was so excited, that I forgot what steps I had just taken.
I apologize for my incompetence.
I will be playing with it this week to install Evervolv and if I remember anything I will document and report it.
Would there be any logs recorded during the de-brick process that I can access now that the de-brick is complete?
Please accept my apology.

Noob question on Note 9

Hello everyone,
I'm Noob to this territory and been searching the web to no end, but with little results.
Long story short, I have a Note9 that I'm trying to get into, this is my old phone i have upgraded to an S20, the phone had a encrypted pin that has prompted me after each reboot, i have used the pin without any issues, however once i transferred the data from not 9 to S20 I was getting invalid PIN, and i know the PIN as I used it constantly. The phone was managed by Google Workspace Admin.
After consulting with Google support we removed the PIN on the google, however Unfortunately i won't get pass the boot process.
My question would be is there any way I can bypass this requirement by flashing the bootloader or anything that might be available at all, i have some valuable files and some family photos which are more valuable to me that weren't transferred over. At this point I'm ready to try anything even if it means the phone be bricked as it seems so far I only have the option to wipe it out.
The developer options are enabled on the phone, as far as i remember.
Anyone?
Thank you for reading and I will be more than happy to provide any more info for anyone willing to point me to the right direction, I'm not looking to be spoonfed, just pointed out to what i can do if anything can be done. I do own the phone its my phone, and this is NOT for any malicious purposes, jut to get access to the phone I own it and to my personal files.

Introducing....TimMagisk

I first learned of super user access in 2010 and I partitioned my hardrive on my sony vaio f series .... I rooted my Samsung ... Yet wasn't quite sure what all modifications I could actually make... After that I really didn't have the time for tech .... But now as of the last few months I'm back at it.. but out of necessity,.. I was working two jobs and building a business at the same time... Well I had my first real vacation from work when I got hurt on the job... Out of work for over a month I began to dig into my Laptop settings trying to get it user friendly... When I stumbled upon some files that looked familiar... Dump stack, and drivers installed that are used for rooting ...then I dug deeper and sure enough my laptop has two OS's it has an Xbox gaming console... Which I never noticed... And then I found a trustedagent that has full super user access to my laptop... And I went through the performance logs and sure enough more and more apps and actions were being used ... I've been hacked... I decided to check my pHone out and sure enough... As I had been having data issues and my sim wasn't registering properly... Now I want/ need to Root my Motorola Moto g stylus 2021 X115 however is it already partially rooted...?? And if so would I brick my device if I tried.... I found a performance log recording everything, a logger that was logging everything into a notepad and exporting it... Can I figure out where my data is going? I used a tracert in command prompt and found the IP address associated with whomever is hacking me... Please provide me with an easy root or significant root for my Motorola Moto g 2021 stylus...
