Is there a setting that I'm missing? Anyone have this issue?

Notifications knock out bluetooth connection

If I receive something like an email while talking on my car's speakers via bluetooth, the phone disconnects and goes to the handheld. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a known fix perhaps? I can't decide if it's the Tilt's well-established crappy bluetooth or something else like Microsoft Voice Command.
It's Voice Command. If you don't enable notifications for something like email then when one arrives it cuts back to the phone.

Bluetooth Alarm App?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a Bluetooth alarm app working on the Xoom? Something that connects the Xoom to my phone via Bluetooth and alerts me if the Xoom gets far enough away to lose the Bluetooth connection. I want to use something like 'StayCloseToMe' (in the Market) but I don't see a way to keep the Xoom connecteced to my phone. It doesn't stay connected to the phone like a headset would. Anyone know (or can write) an App that will do this? It would be great for keeping tabs on my Tab!
Thanks!
Mike

[Q] Ringtone With Wired Headset

I am wondering which would be the best/simplest way of fixing this simple and somewhat stupid issue which reminds me of old Motorola phones that would not ring AND vibrate.
When a wired headset is connected, the ringtone and most other sounds/notifications only play through the headset. This is a problem for me because I don't want to miss calls, have my headphones on constantly or unplug them whenever I'm not wearing them, then having to fumble with wires whenever there's a call.. This is especially annoying while driving and it just doesn't make any sense that the ringtone would play through the headset only, unless music or other audio is already playing.
I asked the Swedish Samsung support about this and they said this is just how it is made to be but that there could be an app somewhere which could let me change the setting. They recommended a paid app (Headset Droid) which, telling from the description does not seem to be able to do anything of the sort.
What I have noticed is that the Viber app still rings through the handset speaker.
I presume there is a config file somewhere which would let me change the setting if the phone was rooted but I haven't gotten around to and haven't had any strong enough reasons for rooting yet.. I would if there was a solution to this involving rooting.
So simply put I would like the ringtone and notifications to play through the handset at all times or maybe even both handset and headset.
I'm running Kernel XBKK4, bought in Sweden.
I have now rooted and will try some other kernels/firmwares to see if that solves the problem.. or possibly finding a configuration file. I'll keep you posted if I find a solution.
I flashed the DarkyROM 3.3 and now it actually rings from the handset. Problem solved!
It would be interesting to know exactly why, could it be that the stock phone app has been replaced?

Bluetooth issue after replacing screen

Hello,
I just replaced my broken screen, but now my bluetooth isnt working correctly. I can connect and play my music but when moving it starts stuttering and the range is way less than before.
Anyone knows a possible fix?
Or where the bluetooth module is located for a check?
Thanks,

Question Bluetooth issue with Car

Hi,
I am having some issues when I talk with people thru my car's bluetooth.
When I start a call, after a random period of time, the people that I speak with are telling me that they are not understanding my voice which is becoming like a robot. During these calls, if i change the sound output to my phone and revert back to car, my voice is becoming clearer but it is happening in almost all my conversations.
Did anyone encountered a similar issue or know a possible fix?
Thanks,
No issues here
This one is okay it's my first case.
Feels plastic~e (if that's even a word.. ) but hey whatever protects the most expensive phone I've ever bought. Only thing I don't like is the hole for your fingerprint.
if anyone alse encounters bluetooth issues with phone calls / car. When you use stock Phone app you dont have this issue. Also you can enable bluetooth gabeldorsche from developer options to ensure smoother bluetooth connections...
