to come off cyanogen back to stock you need to flash a 3 file firmware with 512 pit and re partition.
otherwise you will get issues

Hey guys i really need some help. I tried to install clockworkmod on my T-mobile samsung galaxy s (sgh-t959v) and i guess i bricked it. All that comes out on the screen is a phone and a computer. can someone pls tell me what to do to fix this and install the right way.
Thank you in advance
Fairly new to all this myself and don't have experience with T-Mobile but if you go here you should be able to get a Firmware for your phone: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=SGH-T959V&r=5#regiona
You should be able to download a stock firmware, odin & everything else you need to flash your stock firmware. From this site.
Perhaps wait and see other responses though as there maybe a way to fix without flashing a stock firmware. Also getting some info from someone with your phone on T-Mobile may be better.

Just confirming that what scubadude said above. Flash new firmware, it is a soft-brick and therefore recoverable. Something that needs to be added however is that you will need to make a login in-order to access the direct link. If the link still doesn't work after that then click firmware and follow on from there..
Hi guys...
Friend requires me to recover his phone - he was using the in built memo software and it contains quite alot of personal information - last i know - the phone was never updated - still running Android 2.1 update 1, running i9000dxjf4 firmware.
The phone currently now is stuck at the samsung logo boot screen.
How can i safely recover the contents w/o doing a factory wipe/firmware reload?
Appreciate someone who can help.
Or if anyone has the i9000dxjf4 firmware on hand - please let me know how i can get it from you.
Think i might need the PDA section of the firmware.
Thanks.

Thanks but im looking for the Eclair ROM that came original with the phone - DXJF4 for content recovery purposes.
Or can anyone advise if i reflash with a higher ROM - will the memo contents be unharmed?
I have had a thread open on the wrong forum I guess. I tried to downgrade before unlocking my bootloader to 5.1.1 and now I cannot enter recovery to do adb or fastboot. I can only enter download mode. I believe my issue is the recovery and everything is different from 5.1.1 and 6.0.1. I need the flashable tar files for odin. The problem is they haven't been released yet and from my understanding (correct me if im wrong) anyone else with a att s6 running 6.0.1 could create a flashable tar file needed to flash so I can fix my phone. If anyone is willing to it would be very appreciated. I am in dire need to get my phone fixed. I tried to use also just the recovery portion from g920f so I could at least get recovery booted up and then manually update using adb. But it was not signed correctly and kept failing. I am wondering if its because it was a global one. I will also try to tmobile one to see if that one will work but im not optimistic. please please please help. PS: if there is an easier way that any one may know just to wipe the bootloader so I can do a clean flash without it failing that would help. Anything to get my phone back.
UPDATE
I have found the files necessary to flash marshmallow using odin. Thanx for anyone who was trying to help me in fixing my bricked phone. It is up and working now. I found the file after doing a lot of digging. Enjoy if anyone needs it. http://www.theandroidsoul.com/download-galaxy-s6-stock-firmware/
Flashed at&t firmware with odin but can't update software past July 1st sec uodate.
Hey guys. I picked a note 9 Verizon unlocked version and was having issues using it on at&t, volte obv not working hd voice calls not working and various other signal issues. I decided to flash to the at&t firmware with odin to fix it. First thing I did was flash the unlocked firmware, factory reset, then flashed at&t firmware. Everything is working just like I bought the at&t note 9 but I'm stuck on July security patch and the update is not recognized. Is there anyway to fix this ? Thanks in advance!
What happens when you try to update; it downloads the update but failing to install due to an error (what's the error) or not finding the updates at all? If latter try with Samsung smart switch install both on the phone and computer
It doesn't find any update ota or on smartswitch. Not sure maybe just need to wait longer, unless someone else has some bright ideas lol

What build number are you running? If you managed to get yourself stranded on a build not officially pushed by ATT, then you're stuck until you Odin to something else. Current ATT is ARI5.
I am on ARG6 build. Is there something you know of I can flash that would be better?

I'm not sure there is a path using update zips to get you current. I just looked and I can't see a way to get current from there. Somewhere on here an ARI5 Odin image (with no HOME_CSC) has been posted. That would get you to current ATT software. Once there, you would get OTA updates. I'm not sure how you got off the update track.
Edit: Here's the link to the Odin image you'd want: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bKlJ-2ikGRsOd3JkDIFvjHGJX6XnrtEH/view?usp=sharing - courtesy of @Venom0642
@CrazyApe18 thank you for that link. Do I need to find a HOME_CSC file to add into that to flash it correctly?

No, you don't need one. However, without HOME_CSC (and there isn't one that I'm aware of), your device will factory reset when you Odin this build. So make a full Smart Switch backup before doing it.
Oh that's fine I full wipe after odin anyways usually. Thanks so much !!
If you don't have an ATnT sim installed, it wont give you updates.

hey @CrazyApe18, i have a note 9 att locked on build number N960USQS2CSGB. I'm having an issue finding a current pie version to flash with odin. Basically I removed a bunch of things with adb a while back and wanted to restore back to factory. I pushed adb uninstall to things like the att update software, if I'm not mistaken a factory reset wouldn't restore this. I'm wanting to flash and then update to the new android version. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I downloaded your link just in case it could help me. I'm familiar with odin, just having a hard time finding the firmware and SAMMOBILE is very slow for non paying users. I appreciate any help you can give me.
just realized that the version in your link is pre Pie. any idea where i can get a fairly recent pie firmware?
