[Q] Mobile AP connection to Samsung S6 LCD.

I recently bought a Samsung Series 6 Tv and Home Theatre System. Upon upgrading my mobile phone last week I opted for the Galaxy S as it will provide internet axcess to my Tv as I was using an iPhone and 3G dongle for internet axcess to my PC but both were stand alone devises and neither would connect my Tv to the internet. I have a Neccom wireless modem connected to all devices and they are also hard wirded connecting to the PC through the Realtex eathernet card. Most of the time they are stwitched off due to the fact that the iPhone won't give me internet connection without them switched off. The 3G dongle does.
So I pull the power on the Net Comm modem. Switch on Mobile AP and go into Setup/Network on the Samsung Tv. Make sure the SWL Samsung Wirless Link is switched because with it on I can't connect. Tests on the Tv to Router. So I see the Galaxy S and press connect, it tries for 30seconds and then comes the resulting message.....Connectio Failed. Have tried every comb off/on. Rebooting, downloading apps, changed settings, internet searches and Samsungs Help Desk. Ha, you might want to change that name.
So here I am, so close but yet so far. I hate that saying. So I've run out of options. Wait I could try connecting through the Blueray and with a miricale I might be able to axcess the internet through that. I'm a glass half full kind of guy, but I'm a realist and I very much doubt it. Im sure it something simple but I'm not a simple guy either and it's got me f'ked. I thought something else was using the Wi Fi as it wanted the Wireless connection from the phone to the router switched off. Then I thought it was the Tv because AP mobile seemed to be working fine. I could connect an iPhone through the Galaxy's AP Mobile and get internet. I eventually dismissed that theory because I can connect the Tv to the wirless router no problem.
So everything is new and working properly just the Tv wont connect to the Galaxy S when in AP mobile mode. It tries but fails. The sim card in there now does not have internet tethering set up on that number but I did try it days ago with a sim card with a 5G data attached to it but I've come along way since then but I feel like I haven't taken my first step.
Run out of things to try.
Any suggestions anyone??

Can't get wireless hotspot to work on t-mobile n6

Hi all,
I have a stock t-mobile branded nexus 6, and for the life of me, I can't get the wireless hotspot to work. I've got the grandfathered unlimited Internet with 3gb of tethering (which is enough). I can turn on hotspot and my laptop will connect, but with "limited connection". If I go to any website, the browser will say resolving host, but never go anywhere. Here's the funny part, I can connect with a nexus 7 through wi-fi, and that will work perfectly. T-mobile says the account is set up correctly for tethering. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, make sure you register the phone with the Tmobile network, (through settings), I did that, then it works again.

[Null Rom v23] Bluetooth tethering only works when connected to Wi-FI, but not LTE/3G

Title. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, until I trialed-and-errored and found that I couldn't connect to anything unless I had Wi-Fi on. It doesn't work for my LTE/3G connection.

Question Connect Phone to his own tethered network

Hi !
I have a S21 Ultra, and use it as a modem for my house with wifi tethering.
I can access my printer with my computer on this wifi network
But here is the problem : I can't access the device on this network from my phone.
I can't print from my phone,
I can't use app mirroring on Windows (open samsung flagship apps on W10 computer) because both S21 and computer have to be on the same wifi network.
Is there any way to make the phone part of his own wifi tethering ? Or workaround ?
Thanks !
no what your trying to do is hack someones phone....its not gonna happen!!!!

Don't understand your message... It's my own phone that doesn't detect itself in the wifi network list. I have no problem to connect network from one phone onto another. It is on the same phone, both emitter and receiver

I think you can try to make a hotspot on the PC and share wifi (from the phone) to the PC hotspot and connect the printer itself to the PC hotspot
Tethering is like connecting a modem to a device. Hotspot is creating a local wifi network for devices to connect to.
Tethering vs Hotspot: Difference and Comparison
Tethering allows a device to share its internet connection with other devices via a physical connection (such as USB), while a hotspot creates a Wi-Fi network to share the device's internet connection wirelessly.

Based on your description you are creating a hotspot on the phone that the laptop and printer connect to? If so then the phone cannot "join" that network as the wifi stack in the phone is being used to run a network and the phone has access to the mobile data network the wifi is representing.
No, only the computer connects to the phone.
but create a second hotspot on the computer that connects the printer to the computer

Your phone wifi module can either act as a broadcaster or receiver at a time, but not both. It will only handle one wifi network at a time, either the one it's broadcasting (endogenous mobile hotspot) or the one it's receiving (exogenous WiFi)
You can see this as a prompt when you turn on mobile hotspot. Whenever you turn on Wifi Hotspot, your WiFi will automatically get turned off. It will even display a notification and ask for your consent (at least mine does)

Wow! That's nice to hear. Haven't used that feature on a phone before. Didn't know it was doable. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday.
thats what hackers and LEA use.....smh

S21 FE Exynos not working with 5Ghz WiFi

I'm unable to connect to 5Ghz WiFi with my S21 FE.
I've tried resetting a lot of settings but the phone does not recognize any 5Ghz wifi.
What can I do to make it work? Other devices see both 5Ghz routers but this phone is limited to just the slower one.
try setting your router to use channel 155
some have said this fixed 5ghz visibility.
