Hello guys ,
In order to to get rid of MIUI and flash another rom , i needed to unlock bootloader , for doing so I followed the tutorial in this forum (thanks to the autor).
However, when i'm trying to do the "Batch Unlock" and being on fast boot, it doesn't show up on the liste and therefore i cannot unlock it. (OEM unlocking and usb debugging are both ON)
When the phone is On , XiaomiToolV2 can detect it and provides the following informations, but when i switch to fastboot , it appeares disconnected, I tried to install so many drivers but it doesn't work, can you help out ? thanks in advance !
Model : M2003J15SC
Codename : merlin
MIUI version : V12.5.2.0RJOMIXM
Android version : 11
Bootloader status : Locked
hello,
since i'm not a pig , i'm going to post the solution ;
just download driver booster, then slap that fastboot on, scann for driver using driver booster and voila.

Hello everyone i have this problem. I bought an sh xiaomi mi5 and it has a fake rom installed, basicly i can't install zip files from the updater or anything similar. I have recived the unlock code from xiaomi but i just can't unlock the phone, it gets stuck at 50% and that is, from what i've read, because i don't have the chinese developer build. I can't install the dev build and i can't unlock.. So can someone please help me and tell me how the hell am I goig to install the official rom? Please..
I have tried the chinese xiaomi thing, and when i click shift+ the flash i click recovery, it won't work because it doesn't find my phone, i tried every port and they won't work.
This what worked for me
Download a fastboot rom from miui site.
Do the deep flash cable method, that always works. With fairly beginner soldering skill I managed to make one in 10 minutes

On Windows 7 i needed to manually install ADB fastboot drivers from Control Panel -> Device Manager. If you see "Unknown ADB interface" or similiar in device manager, then manual installation of drivers is required.
in fastboot mode .
i solved it by;
1.disable internet coonection cause of auto update driver
2.uninstall kedacom driver, select delete files.
3.update driver manually and select let me pick driver.
4. choose usb composite device
then retry
can u kindly explain the process in detail ....step by step it will help many ppl as almost all resellers r selling mi5 with fake Roms ... and MIUI forum is a mess .....
thanks

I had the same problem with an Mi 5s and a fake ROM. Amongst the chaos of the MIUI forums I found a poster who described what worked for him unlocking a Redmi Note. I followed his advice and the unlocking process went without a hitch after many frustrating attempts getting to 50% with an error.
The answer was to do a factory reset, then on the initial setup, log into your Mi account and accept everything - sync, data, find, backup etc. Once this was done, I ran MiFlashUnlock and the unlocking process completed successfully.
Hope this helps!

1. you should flash offical global rom or offical chinese development rom with mi flash app
http://en.miui.com/thread-272376-1-1.html
2. Then reboot to fastboot by volume down + power button combination.
3. if device manager shows your device as "usb composite device ,you can go on and try "fastboot devices" command in adb folder command promt to see if command is working .if not ;
3.a. it is probably shown as "kedacom usb device".right click device , uninstall drivers by selecting remove files option.
3.b. disable internet connection and right click and refresh in device manager .after your device is shown . right click on device and select update driver
3.c. select "browse my computer" and after that choose "let me peek" option. than find "usb composite driver" and install
3.d. retry fastboot command as mantioned above.
4.then use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/how-to/unlocking-xiaomi-mi-5-bootloader-t3336243 for unlock .
5. this one for twrp http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/recovery-twrp-xiaomi-mi-5-t3412123
6. now you can install any rom you want .another usefull info ; if you dont want to see password on every boot after flashing twrp ,backup your data use "fastboot erase userdata" in fastboot mode. remember this will remove all data on your phone .
thanks man will follow ur instructions as soon as I get my mi5
Hello all!
I recently bought a second hand Xiaomi MI A2 online however I found a problem.
The previous owner did a factory reset on it but I'm stuck in the initial set up configuration because it asks me for the google account credentials attached to the phone. I texted the previous owner but had no answer.
So I tried to flash the official ROM to bypass the issue but I get an error message from Xiaomi Flash Tool saying "remote: Flash is not allowed in Lock State".
I think this is happening for one of the following reasons:
The previous owner didn't enable USB Debugging (thing I can't do because I'm stuck in the set up configuration)
The bootloader is locked (and I can't unlock it because I don't have the credentials of the attached account)
Does anyone knows how can I solve this problem?
Thank you for your attention

Just unlock bootloader(critical too) and use miflash

Fastboot oem unlock give me error flashing is not allowed.
Is there anyway around this?
You need to do an unlock of critical partitions - "fastboot flashing unlock_critical"

Thanks. I've tried the MIFlash Tool and I get Error Flashing Not allowed in Lock State. I've also tried the MI A2 ToolKit and get the same message. Basically anything I try and do states device is locked or unable to run in Lock State.
Boot Loader is currently locked and I cannot access developer mode to enable OEM unlocking. Question I have is :
- Can I use EDL Cable to work around this or do EDL cables not longer work with Newer Xiaomi phones?
- If EDL cable doesn't work, is the tespoint method my only option.
thanks in advance

I would try a wipe from the recovery but if that doesnt work then just test point the phone. It isnt that hard, I had to do it myself today because of a soft brick. You just need a T3 screwdriver really. Take out the 2 bottom screws. Take a razor and slide it under the corner of the display and lift it enough the get a credit card in there. Then just work around and you should be able to get the screen off. Take the small metal plate off just above the battery and disconnect the battery and the connector on the right. There will be the test points, short them out, connect the phone to the pc(you can stop shorting out the points when it gets detected) and you have like 10-15secs to start flashing the phone in miflash(obviously you need to have the drivers already set up).
I have same problem with xiaomi mi a2 which had bootloop. Was not able to start device at all so no oem unloco no developer options and no usb debug. It was possible only adb sideload and fastboot. Adb sideload did nothing. I was trying to flash with adb sideload but it stops at 47% with message 1.00 x. Did try several roms with same results. Then i tried fastboot options. Falied to unlock not allowed. Itsl was impossible to get even into phone to activate developer options so i can activate oem unlock and the rest. I tried edl mode which did flash but then i got error message in bootloader it failed to mount system etc. Then i tried mi x6 rom to convert phone to another which doesnt have usual recovery mode but a stripped oem recovery mode. Now when u go back to mi a2 rom its bricked so there is no option of adb at all now. I tried to use mi x6 mi assistant option but app wont recognize usb connection it shows try normal mode then switch. When activating mi assistant on phone it does recognize rom version from recovefy flash in mi assistant app but when it downloads update rom version it cant continue. With pixel you can do anything with adb and it is so easy but xiaomi sucks big time. You cant do anything. Fastboot flashing unlock critical and fastboot oem unlock gets error failed. Flashing not allowed. U tried diferent cables but no luck. So now what? Thats why i hate adb. On samsung odin you can do impossible possible. Even with sp tools on mtk. Even boxes works flawlessly but xiaomi system is just thr worse. It doesnt matter if you get soemthing lost there is always a solution to other phones.
After having device sit as a paper weight for a few months, i broke down and ordered a phone repair kit. Opened device up and flashed via test point method. Worked Flawless. Time to enable OEM unlock so i don't have to open it up again. Thanks to community for all the help.
Use cmd
- go to fastboot then "fastboot oem unlock"
- go to fastboot again "fastboot flashing unlock_critical"
Flash with mi flash
Done
Just stumbled upon this and while may be 18 months too late, here's the step by step process to flash ROM on MI A2 that's giving error "Flash is not allowed in Lock State":
1) switch off device
2) enter fastbood mode (press hold power+vol down few seconds)
3) connect device with laptop
4) install and open adb folder on laptop (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979)
5) within adb folder -- shift + right click = open powershell here
6) fastboot flashing unlock_critical
7) step #6 may be pointless if phone is bricked but do it anyway
8) fastboot oem edl
9) find and download latest stock rom for your device (FASTBOOT version). It'll be .tgz file
10) extract the image folder from within (would be the same name as .tgz file)
11) open miflash (coudln't find link but look it up, it's easy)
12 select the image folder you extracted in step #10
13) click refresh. device name appear means it's recognized
14) from bottom of mi flash tool select whatever you want. I do "clean all"
15) flash (top right mi flash tool)

you need to open phone with screwdriver & do the test point ..search for video on YouTube...then EDL deepflash state you can use miflash to put back OFFICIAL only rom to device.
Hi everyone!
I need help, please.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A - 2/16 Gb. Boot unlocked.
Problem after flashing miui 11 with error:
1. TWRP - don`t aviable now and I can`t flash it;
2. Fastboot - I can enter in Fastboot mode, but smartphone not detected by computer (win 7/64) and notebook (win 10/32). all drivers - ADB, Quallcom - installed correctly;
3. I try to enter EDL mode - with two test points on a motherboard. I tried to connect them - without effect - my PC and Notebook can`t detect device...
What can I do ?
Try my suggestions
If you have another smartphone please download apk

Bring your bricked phone to fastboot mode. Using bugjaeger apk you can flash and anyhow you told that bootloader is unlocked if your bootloader is locked then whole procedure will not work
I am providing YouTube link try it
https://youtu.be/G_E8ImOoQZM
Video is about 7:54 Watch the video 4:00 carefully
Dont Flash any custom ROM or recovery
flash all files which is in stock ROM only (zip or rar or tgz)
and don't lock bootloader.
After flashing try to restart phone
If the procedure didn't work
Sorry for wasting your time.
iam using RM3 recently i shifted from global rom to chinese because it is andriod 11.and rm v3 so i used it for few days but i need google services so i thought about rooting .I installed all required files .the problem begins here when i connected it to my pc it didnt detect anything....i heard new cn version doesnt have mtp or usb connection so i used unbrick tool(eu) for stock rom ..now it got stuck in currpted.i need some help ...i tried different ways...under adb devices the device is not showing so i cant do manually.one more thing when i use unbrick tool(eu) it show firehose file downloaded ....but in unbrick tool(non-eu) it says cannot download firehose file.

Help me someone!
You give problem because your'Mg3 not yet uninstall root complete, so Android system prevent it booting.
=> Solution:
- Step 1: re-unbrick your phone with unbrick tool (eu).
- Step 2: reboot to bootloader.
- Step 3: fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J
- Step 4: use volumn up or down to choose line with content "unlock bootloader". Then wait for your phone working. => Done

Due to the lack of kernel source code, there is no official TWRP. Only unofficial builds available.
The included version of this post is already very outdated. The most current is 3.7.0, which allows the installation and decryption of A12, A12L and A13 ROMS at the cost of losing support for A11

After the 7 days (168 hrs), you started the process to unlock bootloader, you'll be able to do it, and after that you unlock the bootloader, the process does format data automatically. From all the numerous Xiaomi devices I owned, I never experienced those things; failed attempts nor loosing IMEI.

It seems, there is no custom ROMs for your device, you may stick to a GSI instead. This is from a quick (not extensive) search.
If I try to unlock bootloader again before the 7-day period ends, will it say how many hours I have left or re-start the counter?
EDIT: For anyone out there, it doesn't mess up the process.
