Question Can't add credit card to Google Pay - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Since I've been having problems with the Galaxy Watch 4 update, I reset the watch and now Google Pay stopped working.
I've tried adding different cards many times and now I can't add them to my S21 Ultra.
I contacted the credit card company and they said the cards aren't blocked and that it should work but it doesn't work on the S21 Ultra or on the watch.
I tried deleting the cards and the app and adding them again but it doesn't work.
Any idea would be appreciated.

Stubborn screen rotation problem Galaxy S5

I have been searching the Internet for finding a solution for my stubborn screen rotation problem with my recently bought Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F on Android 6.0.1). After having tried everything that I could find without result, I finally decided to return the S5 to the seller.
As I had to return a “clean” S5 I made a factory reset and removed the SIM and SDHC card. Just out of curiosity I booted the S5 again and to my surprise the screen rotation worked again and the self-test showed “passed”. Completely surprised I installed the SIM card again and the self-test remained OK. Then I installed the SDHC card again and saw that the self-test again produced a fail. This clearly lead to the weird conclusion that the presence of a SDHC card was to blame.
Consequently I repeated the test with a number of SDHC cards of different brands and sizes. No pass! Also formatting the cards in the S5 did not help. Only removing the card produced a pass for the gyro sensor again. Searching on the Internet did not reveal any similar weird behaviour. Did anyone encounter a similar error or does anyone have an idea what could be the cause?

Android PAY not working on Chinese Huawei P20 PRO Help

Hi, I am using CLT-AL00 (China) version of the Huawei P20 pro. For some reason, Android pay doesn't work on it. Whenever I add my cards which work on other devices such as Samsung galaxy s8+, it is stuck at: Verifying your card with your bank. I tried to disable/enable/clear cache google play services, delete/add the card to my google account, call the bank for authorization, Factory reset my phone, delete/redownload google pay. However, the same issue happens over and over. Please help.
same issue on my phone as well. please help
I was having the same issue in another version.
Do a payment in the play store with your card (it should be in your payment options but not active for in-store purchases). After you complete the purchase, the activation will work in the google pay app.
Not sure if this will work for someone else.

I have been looking for a solution to this problem since a few months ago. These steps do not work for my phone.
I had contacted Huawei about this issue they said it was due to the android security component being used in the build 'incompatible' with some banks' security system. They suggested using international banks which do businesses in different continents as their security system could be more widely compatible.
I don't really believe in them. But had really no way to go at the moment...

NFC payments do not work

Hi all,
I have an issue with phone payments since ca. 10th of April. Before that date everything worked properly, then something made payments impossible. Phone suddenly stopped communicating with pay terminals in stores, no reaction between the devices at all (terminals don't see the card). NFC is on and ceecked via other app, credit card is correctly configured and activated in both bank app and Google Pay app. I'm on 9.0.0.197 since around 2 months, so upgrade to EMUI 9 did not cause the problem.
I'm in contact with Google support who seem to flip the problem on user side, HiCare support also does not see the issue on their side, they ask me to perform full wipe and ask questions about HCE activation, which I cannot answer. And, as you go through opinions on Play Store, it looks problem is not only mine, but plenty other M10 Pro, M20 and Honor Play users.
Any thoughts or ideas from you?
Thx,
Chaffinch

Problem solved.
What helped? I was in the beta testers group of Google Play Services. Cancellation of approval for beta testing and getting back of the Google Play Services app to version 13.2.92 (official, non-beta) unlocked payments by phone.
I post it if someone had a similar situation.
Best,
C.

Samsung Pay Behaviour on Transit

Hello all,
Apologies for the noob questions, I've just come back to android after about 10 years on iOS. I've actually gone for a Note 20 Ultra + Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 but I couldn't find a forum for the active 2 and I want to know if this behaviour is any different on The Watch 3.
I have two issues with Samsung Pay on the Active 2, am I being an idiot or is this normal?
1. Transit cards don't work, my Samsung Pay card is set to be a Transit Card but when I got to the station (London, TFL) payment didn't automatically happen on the reader. Is the transit card function not supported on the watch or do I need to turn it on somewhere?
2. In comparison to the Apple Watch, Payment is pretty slow:
- Apple Watch, Double Click side button, card instantly shows and ready for payment
- Samsung Watch. Double Click Back Button > Put in Pin (if not already done today) > Wait a few seconds > Select Card to pay > Pay
Does anyone know if I can get it to default to a single card wihtout me having to select it? I only have one card setup in Samsung Pay anyway.
Thanks!
