My Kindle Fire HD& Tate 2nd gen is stuck in a fastboot bootloop. When I turn on kindle I get Kindle fire logo for a second then immediately get fastboot kindle fire logo then screen goes black and when I connect normal usb lead I can hear kindle connecting and disconnecting to pc this goes on and on with black screen.
I used kindle fire utility to check fastboot status with option 4 then I connect fastboot cable and on pc it says waiting for device >product: Tate-PVT-08 finished. total time: 0.109s Fastboot is enabled.Press any key to continue . . .But I can not get it out of the fastboot bootloop.....I have tried this in command prompt fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot then sats waiting for device then I connect normal usb lead and it says rebooting but then just comes back to the Kindle fire logo for a second then immediately then fastboot kindle fire logo and once again goes through connecting and disconnecting issue...
I have also tried disconnecting battery for a few minutes and get same result, also tried a couple of times each holding power for 20,30,40,50,60 seconds then let go wait a couple of seconds then press power again, but with all of them it still goes back to Kindle fire logo then fastboot kindle fire logo and once again goes through connecting and disconnecting issue...any help appreciated as to how to get it out of this fastboot loop
update on this I managed to restore using cmd prompt and Kindle_fire_HD_7(backup 7.2.3+root).zip...
Happy again
Update even better news I have now managed to install twrp recovery and Cyanogenmod 12.1 on it and its running smooth...

Hey,
i booted my Kindle with FireFlash into Fastboot Mode. After that i wasn't able to boot normaly. The Device always boote into Fastboot.
Then I tryed to reboot with the command fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot.
Now i have the problem that the Kindle boot into Fastboot for 2 Seconds. Then the screen turned black. Windows loose and get the connection in turns.
Any Idea? :/
I'm guessing your kernel needs to be reflashed if it's going into fastboot repeatedly, though I was a bit confused from the typo the rest of what happened.

OK I'm guessing you need a fastboot cable to fix it at this point so you can attempt to reflash it again.

I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 for repair for a friend it was stuck on the Kindle Fire logo.
I think it's the 2013 version as it doesn't have a camera.
I've tried the KFHD_SRTv1.3.5 and Kindle Fire Utility. It goes through all the actions installing the file etc but when rebooted it's now goes to red screen then FastBoot, even without a cable plugged in.
I've tried the info in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466243
I enterd "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" and got SOHO-PVT-PROD-07
I tried
fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot and it reboots straight into fastboot.
I've tried going through the actions again but nothing seems to work. Is it bricked or is there hope?
You are lucky you haven't hard bricked it, those utilities aren't meant for it, especially kindle fire utility, that could have hard bricked it. There's a utility in the general section for restoring it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2685090
That should be able to restore it.

Hello to everybody, I'm new to this forum. thanks foe the useful informations I've been abler to gather on this website.
Yesterday arrived the fastboot cable I ordered.Pluggin it it it turned the kindle to fastboot mode.
Fastboot on my pc recognised the devide in cmd window.
After a couple of fastboot instructions attempting to reload bootloader and TWRP recovery without success, the kindle started to plug and unplug itself every second.
on the screen either if you use a normal usb calbe or the fastboot cable it appears the kindle logo, then the fastboot logo for 1 second then everything desappear and with the black screen starts endelessy to plug and unplug.
It seems fastboot doesn't find any device whine on program amanger it is correclty recognised by the system.
Any help would be very appreceated.
Thanks in advance, Stef
Just unplug the fast boot cable while the screen is black also could you pm me a video of your predicament? That could help
Hello,
my Kindle (Tate-PVT-08) starts with the yellow kindle logo and then switches to the fastboot screen. Without any action the screen gets black again and it's in a loop. ( the PC always gets a signal as it is coneccted with a usb device). It is possible to install recovery.img, system2.img and boot.img with the fastboot comands -i 0x1949 flash ...
but however after flashing the fiels the kindle goes back in the same mode as described at the beginnning.
Can anyboy help me to recover my device?
Thanks a lot
KIndle fire hd7 tate 2nd gen done all the flashing twrp 2.8.7.0 etc would not come out of fastboot , tried everything I could and eventually got it out with KFHD SRT v1.3.5 chose option 1=Restore-Factory Rooted with SuperSU.apk, then chose option 6=Reboot normally (must have a standard cable connected to work). I did
It rebooted up to White kindle logo and orange fire logo screen then goes into a bootloop back to same screen over and over.
Have tried with fastboot cable and still does the same, tried holding volume up while powering on but does not go to twrp recovery screen, have tried holding power for 30 seconds same 40 seconds same thing rebooted up to White kindle logo and orange fire logo screen...
Is there no hope to recover it?.
