I have a 2014 Acura MDX with no Android Auto Support. I purchased a Navtool kit which allowed me to add Carplay/Android Auto to it. With Carplay, I can configure the phone to play the music through Bluetooth because the Navtool interface plays through Aux and it passes engine electrical noise. When I use my Pixel 6 Pro, even when the phone says it is connected to Bluetooth, the sound is still forced through the Aux output of the Navtool's device.
Is there a way to configure Android Auto to play through Bluetooth?
Thanks,
Nelson
These are not Android Auto.

I have a Pioneer NEX4200 headunit in my car that I use in conjunction with an iPod for my driving music. With my old phone (Moto X Pure), even though I wasn't streaming music from it, I could still toggle the MEDIA toggle in the bluetooth settings so that when I used Google Assistant from my head unit, the audio would play back through the car speakers. On the Note 8, it seems that I can only get the MEDIA toggle to stay on if the head unit is set to play music from Bluetooth and not my iPod, which means that when I am using the latter and try to do a voice search, the audio comes through on the phone and not the car speakers.
Am I missing something in my settings on the phone of which I am unaware? Has anyone had this issue?
Thanks!
How can i force my car : Hyundai Sonata to use AUX audio output instead of USB that comes when using Android auto, because with using usb i get 1-2 seconds sound delay while on aux it works normally, is there anyway to disable the android auto from getting audio from usb and just get audio from aux?
when i play my media through AUX there is no delay or lag, but when i use Android auto it uses remote_submix to get audio from usb and therfore i cant use my aux audio, i tried to disable remove_submix but android auto wont start, any idea how to reroute audio from android auto usb to aux?
"Extend functions of your vehicle" - I can do the same with a simple BT connection and the Android Auto app running on my phone. I can use the steering wheel control and the onboard audio system and microphones. Why should I buy a Android Auto compatible infotainment system instead of simply using the Bluetooth connection?

I connected my Android smartphone via BT to my SONY car radio, which can be controlled via the steering wheel control to Pause/Play a track or skip to the next one.
"How to stream music via Bluetooth to SONY audio system in a Ford S-Max"
If I run the Android Auto app, I have all the functions a AA enabled infotainment system has.
I recently got a roadtop devices to have as in my car but sadly its Bluetooth doesn't play nice with my cars Bluetooth... My cars Radio demands that a pin is entered when connecting which roadtop doesn't Support.
So is there a way to force the phone itself to output the sound to another device even it android auto is active?
Hi all,
I've been searching around and it seems there are many use cases for this, mine specifically is I have a cheap AA screen which I want to display Waze on, but I want the music/audio to go through the cars standard bluetooth stereo system.
When you connect to wireless android auto all audio is routed over wireless to that unit. Is there any way around this?
The unit I bought only has a terrible inbuilt speaker or FM transmitter for audio output, and the quality of both is awful.
Hi. I have the same problem
Short answer, No - Android Auto routes only phone calls over Bluetooth and all other audio is routed through WiFi or USB. This is by design.
