I'm new to tasker & using both tasker & tasky to learn. I imported a profile "answer customer" taskernet. I only needed to put in a phone number to have it pick up. However it's not picking up.
What I'm looking for is, automatic pick up of specific phone number, pause .500 milliseconds press dialpad, pause .500 milliseconds press 1
Seems pretty easy, I'm just not getting it though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm really enjoying "tuning" my new Tilt using the various tricks/tweaks posted here but am struggling with one tweak that I'm hoping someone has some idea on how to do.
I noticed quite by accident that if you push the jog wheel (vs. rolling it up or down) while on a call it puts the call on hold (push it again and it takes it off hold). I personally never use the "hold" feature - instead I'd love to change that jog wheel action to mute the phone. Any ideas on how you can change the job wheel "push button" behaviour for the phone app to be "Mute" vs. "Hold"? Thanks!
Hello
I am a new owner of an att tilt. I believe it is the same as the tytnII. I am looking for two cabs to install on my phone.
1) a cab that lets me assign a button to switch between vibrate, silent, and ring. I found vibra switch, but it does not include silent.
2) a cab or program that allows me to assign a call log feature to a button. I use the call log quite frequently on my old phone.
Thank you for anyone that can give a newbie a suggestion
Adam
both of those can easily be accessed without cabs.
1- if you have the htc home screen, just press on the symbol that looks like a phone with a music symbol beside it, and it'll give you the option of switching profiles
2- just click the green talk button and then press up on the dpad
want the button press
Thank you for the response.
I have not tried htc homescreen yet. It appears to have a large clock and a tab system of the today screen that I am not fond of. Am I able to leave the today screen basically like it is with that program?
Also I want to be able to map these functions to a button. The reason for this is for easy access while driving. I feel a button press and using the jog wheel is a lot more accurate and requires less attention.
Thank you

A while back I posted thread with regards to a ringtone manager that would allow me to play whole .mp3 files for my sms notifications off my storage card. After trying mortring, mring, phone alarm, photo contacts pro, and a few others, I settled on mring as it seems to be perfect for me.
But it does leave me with one problem, one that came with my Tilt: My sms notification ringers don't stop playing until the song is over.
I want to make the file stop playing once I open up the notification or dismiss it. My old Motorola krzr did this, so I don't see a problem with it being possible. I just need the registry tweak to do it.
Below, I have pasted an bolded some tweaks I think look relevant. These are clearly for phone calls, but if I could find the registry entry for sms notifications and then drop in something behind the 'p' code to say stop on answer, I should be able to do what I want...right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think mortring stops the notification...but I just don't know how to do this on my own. It seems like it should be pretty simple, but after 10 days of searching, I'm at my wits end.

Change ringtone/vibrate/LED flash characteristics
If you would like more control over how your device rings/vibrates/flashes its LEDs on events, you can can change the Script values of these events. For example, for an incoming call performing 'activate device, play ringtone, wait 3 seconds, repeat':
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script = "apw3r" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
For performing 'active device, set volume to 33%, play ringtone, set volume to 67%, play ringtone, set volume to 100%, play ringtone (no repeat)':
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script = "ac33pc67pc100p" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
The following are the full codes available to you. Please note that all the codes are executed simultaneously except after a ringtone play / wait code. E.g. 'v1p' will vibrate and play at the same time, while vibrating for 1 second. But 'pv1' will play the ringtone through all the way first, then start vibrating for 1 second.
a = activate device
cN = set volume to N in percentage max volume
fN = flash notification LED for N seconds
p = play ringtone. Note that this will play the ringtone all the way through before continuing with the next code.
r = repeat. Note that this should be the last code in your Script string, if used at all.
vN = vibrate for N seconds
wN = wait for N seconds. Note that the device will wait this long before continuing with the next code.
Also, I would like to change the default location the alarms look at to the storage card as well within the registry.
Thanks in advance.
As always, I am a moron. The scroll wheel shuts off the notification of a sms message so my first question is handled.
As for the second question, all I would like to do is use my .mp3s on my storage card as ringers.
Hi All,
When dialling a call, the HTC turns off the screen 5 seconds after the call is connected forcing me to have to press the Power button in order to display the 'In Call Status' window so that I can select the Keypad button to enter the voice mail access code. Additionally, listening to Voice Mail messages and pressing keys is extremely difficult as when I move the phone to my ear to listen to the Voice Mail, the screen blanks out and I must press the Power again to get the Keypad.
Ideally, I would like the screen to remain on between 30-60 seconds so as to allow interaction with the keypad ... such as in Voice Mail.
I've looked at several threads here and on other sites recommending changes to the RIL, Phone, and BackLight registry keys and I have tried some utilities such as 'AdvanceConfig 3.3', 'Kiaser Tweaks 0.41', and 'Diamond Tweak 0.5.3' to name but a few... no luck! At one time, it seemed like I was on the right track with the registry changes ... but the changes actually reduce the delay time to 1 second.
To rule out the possibility of a bad phone, I tested my wife's touch as well ... same result - purchased to identical units; makes it easier to support.
I would greatly appreciate any insight from seasoned experts.
Advance thanks,

when you use the registry tweaks you usually need to do a soft reset, and then the changes take place on bootup.
Hi mikemorris,
Agreed, I've even gone as far as shutting down - Long Power Press. I also have made the registry changes one at a time and captured the before/after settings.
Cheers,
Backlight timeout on calls fuze
I have also tried all the registry tweaks to extend the backlight on calls to something over 5 seconds.....
All my registry changes "TAKE" OK as seen after checking...
The performance changes work great...but not this backlight on calls...
Any fix yet??

Has anyone found a way to unlock and lock the Nest x Yale door lock
I would just like a button widget i can press that will unlock my door
or even better a way to connect it to Google home to unlock
I found your thread looking for the same solution - couldn't find one so I made one myself.
For those of you with even beginner level tweaking experience you can accomplish the unlock using tasker and autoinput apps. I have it setup something like this:
Activated by a profile (shaking the phone, long volume button press, etc)
Launch Nest app
Wait 5 seconds
Select Lock button - note that I had to disable "Spaces" on my app, but I think it looks better that way anyway
Wait 3 seconds
Gesture swipe from x,y to x,y+200 over 3 seconds - you can get the x,y number by enabling developer options on your phone and turning on cursor tracking. This is the physical location on the screen so it will vary from phone to phone
Wait 1 second
Go home
It's not the cleanest option but now I can get out of my car, unlock my phone and long press my volume button to launch this little command and my door will be unlocked.
There is also another app, Autovoice, that I am messing with made by the same developer. This allows integration into your google home devices, and you can create a Routine that will act like a shortcut. So I can say "Hey Google, Front Door" and have it set up to be read by google as "Hey Google, ask Autovoice to Front Door" - more info on AutoVoice here https://joaoapps.com/autovoice/
The biggest hurdle with using voice is like I said above, the nest app doesnt have a "button" for the unlock area - I suspect they did this to avoid apps like Tasker from finding something to "click" since it uses the same triggers that technology like Voiceover/Talkback use to find objects to select. So if you wanted to have a full on demand voice unlock you will need a spare android phone plugged in somewhere in your house to be a dedicated nest operator. Autovoice can specify which device you want the command to run on, so you would point to that device. Using that, it might even be easier since you could have the nest app always open, never sleeping or locking, on the lock/unlock screen. Tasker would just have to run task #6 above, which would decrease the processing time to make it almost instant similar to the lock command via OK Google.
