Do you mean you can't get through the google intro bc it refuses any other login than the one that was there originally? If so, all you need is for the friend to log in and then you can go on normally.

I have another xiaomi mi 5 and it works fine in my pc, so the issue is not the cable or the PC.
my xiaomi mi 5 is using miui 10.0.1.0 .
I formated the device 2 times.
I bought from a local seller so I dont know if its a software or hardware problem.
The phone is charging when connected to the computer.
Helium backup app detect the input with the computer when I plug in, but adb devices command doesnt show the mi 5 plugged. (it shows my oneplus one so its not a adb driver problem)
I don't know what to do, as it doesnt show in xiaomi mi flash I will need unlock it and try with fastboot to reinstall rom??
PS: Device manager doesnt detect the phone and dont show any changes)
Dont worry,
Just go to service center and replace phone connecting cercuit it will cost only 1200 i had same issue last week.
Just got a used A2. Booted it up and no bootloader unlocked message. Tried to unlock bootloader but unable to get it recognized on my windows 10 PC. I have tried all ways to install the drivers, used different USBC cables, different USB port on the PC but no luck.
Developer options have been triggered & USB debugging is allowed.
Please let me know what drivers worked for you guys?
Mi drivers? Google drivers?
Thanks

last night i got and update on my k20 pro 8gb 256 with QFKEUXM rom when i restart the phone it got hardbricked
My device is hard bricked, can't turn it on, access Fastboot or Recovery. It's also not charging, no LED and the power brick isn't getting warm. Bootloader-Unlocked , USB-Debugging disabled.
when i connected it to windows (but i didn't open it)
Windows is showing: Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM10)
I downloaded the latest Fastboot ROM for my device and region: raphael_eea_global_images_V12.0.5.0.QFKEUXM_
then tried to flash it via mi flash
MiFlash is recognizing as com10 the device and when i try to flash:
- start flash
- acessing the ROM (I think)
- ping target via firehose
then after 30 second says can't write time out device disconnected
i don't know what should i do i even payed 20$ for mi account auth via teamviewer i still got same error didn't get to auth part
the guy said your phone is dead impossible to fix it and told me even if you opened it and did testpoint it wouldn't help you (it's a hardware issue)
how can fix this issue sorry english is not my first language
I got bricked my xiaomi mi a2, unscrewed it and went into edl mode. When i connect it into computer, it identifies phone like storage device and mi flash tool cannot flash it because of "error: flash timeout". How can i solve it? Maybe i ve installed wrong drivers? (sory for bed inglesh)

of not first install the qualcom drivers then try.
Hi,
Trying to install a ROM with fastboot (xiaomi 12.5.7.0) it seems something went wrong during the process.
So once the flash was done, device tried to reboot. All I got is a bleck screen with nothing happening.
Device is of course not detected by computer.
And of course nothing happens when I press the buttons.
Any idea or trick to help me out of this mess ?
Regards.
FRED
Here's some additional info :
if the device is hooked up to Windows, Windows plays a sound when it is hooked up.
And if I pressed the power button long enough, Windows plays like "on sound" and after some seconds a "off" sound.
So it does something...
