I have an App called Elesion that controls my door lock.
I can create an App Shortcut to my homescreen that directly accesses the right thing in the app.
Can this be launched from tasker?

I'm using LauncherPro and want add a shortcut to go directly to the Activities tab of the Contacts app. But I can't figure out the correct activity name I have to add the shortcut for. Those I tried either crash or give "can't launch activity". Does anyone know which activity I have to add a shortcut for to my homescreen to get directly to that tab?

Is there a way to get app shortcuts inside the notification panel that will open supported apps in floating windowed mode, just like LG's QSlide apps?
We can have windowed apps with the Note5 but you'll have to open the app first and then swipe from the top-right corner but can we open apps that are automatically windowed?
Hiho,
I´m new to Tasker and found a lot of good ideas and solutions here, so I thought it could be the right place for my question
I have two intent profiles, one listens for song infos, one for play/pause. As there is a new intent, the corresponding task updates the variables (to global ones), and if the overlay scene is active, it destroys the scene and creates a new one, which is updated with the new song information.
I got it to work as a Tasker project, have all code within the project. The exported App however does not update on intent receive, it shows the information from the moment the app was created.
For the ones who are interested, here´s what my app does: it creates an transparent foldable overlay with swipe gestures to have access to Spotify play, next.. and Volume +/-. Best way to operate while Google Maps is running. In the corner, it shows the track information, to see what I am listening to at the moment. One gesture closes the overlay and shows a small button I can move, I can do some input and then reopen the overlay easily.
Next I want to add is a gesture to dump the track information to a text file or notepad, so I can listen to unknown playlists and mark favorite tracks easily while driving. I also want to add a gesture which closes actual audio app and opens another one and autostarts it (to switch f.e. from Spotiy to Podcast Addict).
Hi All,
I have created a home automation UI using zooper and tasker. Within tasker, I have created a task that does the following once a user taps on the 'Camera' widget:
1. Open Ring
2. Waits 4 seconds
3. Performs the following actions (clicks)
- Clicks Menu
- Clicks Devices
- Selects Doorbell
- Clicks Live View
This works great and functions as it should, but as you can imagine it is not clean at all. I was wondering if there was a way in which these actions can be performed in the background or if there were any alternatives to getting this to work where the user would tap the 'Camera' widget and Rings Live View would open up. I also have Wink with Ring integrated into it, but it wouldn't allow me to create a shortcut for Ring. I've also checked IFTTT recipes but didnt find one that would work.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
You need to use intents. I don’t have a ring doorbell so I don’t know the intents that ring uses sorry.

Click to collapse
Thanks! I'll google it to see how to use intents with Ring.
Looking to do similar. I'm trying to open motion or ring notifications to the Live View. Any luck with this?
The only intents I saw were to go straight to devices or list of events.
For some reason the kings college covid symptom tracker doesn't launch a notification on my OnePlus 8 (works fine on my 3t). I can get tasker to launch the app but I rather get tasker to launch the notification icon as that triggers me to fill it in. Is there a way of launching the notification icon with tasker rather than the application. My digging has not struck gold.
