Hey I can't remember who originally showed this to me, might have been someone from the twrp telegram but I wanted to share this with you guys.
TWRP for OnePlus 7 Pro
TWRP for OnePlus 7 Pro
www.pling.com
That's a link to an android 12 based twrp (unofficial) that supports decrypting the partitions so we can do our backups again!
I haven't needed to restore a backup yet so I can't confirm it's success, but it definitely makes the backups haha.
I'm not a maintainer or anything I'm just a big OP7Pro fan so I'm not gonna do a write up on how to install this. It's pretty straight forward you unlock your bootloader, enable debugging and boot your phone into fastboot. Run a "fastboot boot twrp.img" and then install current version of twrp and it's a breeze

Hi all, today i bought redmi k20 pro (Indian). Bootloader unlocked.
Now, i want to flash twrp but i don't know which one is best? Official or unofficial? And which version?
I don't want custom rom. Need only rooted official miui rom.
Also want to pass safetynet. As of now, not rooted.
Thanks
My K20 pro will reach to me by 2-3 days and I too want to know which version of TWRP is the most stable for this device. The only difference is, I am planning to unlock the BL and flash EvoX or PE as soon as I get my hands on the device. I will try to find out the most stable TWRP for MIUI 12. If I find the answer, I will post here. Thank you.
Update: The official TWRP is the one developed/maintained by @mauronofrio

You can also use https://eu.dl.twrp.me/raphael/twrp-3.4.0-0-raphael.img.html (TWRP 3.4.0-0)
You can use any of the two on MIUI 12.
For miui, go for orangefox 11, has ota support

Decryption is supported on Android 10 based ROMs I believe. Not sure about Android 11 though. You can ask the developer here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-redmi-t3944363
you can use mauronofroi'twrp, then go to latest ofox.
use my guide if you like https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/simple-beginners-guide-to-raphaelin-t4020543
and yes android 11 has dfe support and working magisk
The best "TWRP" is the OrangeFox Recovery, because its based on TWRP, but have many feature, what not contained in TWRP.
Decrypt/encrypt support, theme support, OTA support, force disable stock recovery, so you won't has problem and you will have many customization option.
1. Unzip the zip file what you downloaded through OrangeFox's xda thread and copy the img - which is in the unzipped file - to the adb directory.
2. Remember the name of the .img, because you will write this in the command
3. Follow any instruction which is write down recovery install with adb method
4. When you will write the last command, change the end recovery.img for your download file's name.
Should looks like this, for example:
./fastboot flash recovery orangefox.img
5. Reboot to OrangeFox Recovery, the recovery will automatically reboot again and it will installed.
6. Ready to use when booted up.
Please TWRP

because everytime i flash an unofficial version of TWRP i mess up my phone. its hard to pick up a version, etc. I had to downgrade my miui version 3 times, and still i messed up. i lost trust for twrp.
when i wanted to flash lingeageOS it always rebooted back to recovery and said that no OS is installed. so i gave up on custom roms.
currently my miui is 12.0.3.0, in case you want to help me.

There are many issues with TWRP and PBRP for MERLIN, my friend.
You may try other LK partitions:
[GUIDE][TWRP] How to keep TWRP V11.0.4.0 working on MIUI V12.0.5.0 or higher MIUI versions in MERLIN ? (Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 / Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G)
Works with: - Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 - Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G If you are using MIUI V12.0.5.0 or higher, TWRP V11.0.4.0 will not work. If you want to keep TWRP V11.0.4.0 working on MIUI V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need to flash the stock rom lk...

I bought a used MI 11 Ultra running Xiaomi EU MIUI 13 Stable. The phone had the stock Xiaomi recovery on it, and I tried to flash TWRP onto it.
After having flashed multiple phones with TWRP and custom ROMs before I have run out of patience with this one. TWRP refuses to work. I can flash it and boot onto it the first time, then boot into MIUI. However, any time after that TWRP is useless and unresponsive. Now I have no usable recovery. I am not flashing anything from it, I'm just trying to make it work.
I am aware of the fact that MIUI 13/ Android 12 does not support flashing by TWRP YET, but this is something I wanted to take care of now before I setup the phone for the first time so that when TWRP adds support for Android 12 then I would have it already installed.
At this point I just want to flash the official/stock recovery on the phone, but I can't find a single thread on that.
I'm also worried about the fact that the phone may ask for the password for the MI account that was used to unlock the bootloader.
What should I do?
Any help would be appreciated.
I may be wrong - but the first thing I'd try is to find a stock package, explore it's assets, find the recovery image and flash it with fastboot.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It may or may not work, but I'd try it, before I try going "full-stock" by flashing a complete image.
Experience contribution, maybe useful for someone. Redmi Note 11, install guide on PE website did not work for me: fastboot flash boot [PE recovery image] resulted in brick (no luck also using fastboot v33 instead of v28 included in Ubuntu distro) . I had to install TWRP then PE image from TWRP (TWRP gets overwritten with PE recovery then).
Also, might happen that phone app has no sound, no mic recognized, no sound in and out during calls. Just need to reflash once again the PE image, then works. Cheers.
where did you get the twrp for redmi note11 2201117tg

I can't seem to get TWRP to install on my pixel 5 I boot it then use the installer and it just loops to fastboot mode and I'm in an awwl of why,I've done this many times on my pixel 1 and 2.,also I have bugs with it in the Lineage 19.1 official builds and I can never get TWRP to get pass the splash screen with lineage as lineage has it's own recovery.
idk ive been having real issues with twrp since i put droid 13 on my pixel 5 keep in mind ive thrown almost every custom rom on here once with twrp as my recovery bro idk think it may have to do it droid 13
TWRP isn't offically out for Android 12 or Android 13 for Pixel 5.
However Android 12.1 support is coming soon with A13 WIP,
see here
Aside from custom ROMs, TWRP isn't really necessary on Pixel devices due to the ability to flash partitions directly.
It's also worth noting that the recovery kernel lives in the boot image, which also contains the system kernel, so any time /boot is flashed, TWRP would be wiped out.
