Question IMEI gone - OnePlus 10 Pro

Hi guys, I'm in a very big trouble, since I was trying to rollback yesterday from A13 Oxygen 13, in a converted NE2110 Chinese model flashed previously with NE2115 Rom, I was having ridiculous battery life with the rom, so I want to test the European NE2113 rom, I've download the NE2113 Rollback package and applied with the local update apk provided by Oneplus, the procedure was apparently sucessfull, but SIM isn't recognized when A12 NE2113 rom booted, I've thought its a band relates problem, so I've flashed black the NE2115, but stills the same, I've get in to the IMEI numbers, and both are NULL and Baseband is blank.
I'm in Ecuador so it's absolutely impossible for me to sent the phone to Oneplus Repair services, and even if it was possible I doubt a lot they can take the phone, because it's bootloader unlocked.
If anyone have an idea about something I can do, I'll really appreciate that, it's an expensive phone and I've put a lot of effort to buy one trought and auction sale and even played to import from United States, so if you think there any hope available please share with me, I've read the one post here with someone who still needs to repair the IMEI seeing it's impossible for now, but at least I have to try to restore the phone, I can't have a media player unusable SIM phone of almost 700 bucks.

I've tried but actually I've notice a bigger problem : battery isn't charging, I've only 30% left, tried to reflash the NE2115 with same results IMEIs are gone, phone connects trought USB cable to PC but is no way to charge it

Can't Update System Software

I just got brand new Xperia X Performance that came with 6.0.1, and I'm trying to figure out why I can update it. It's unlocked but not rooted, basically right from the factory as far as I know.
When I go into Software Update in the phone's settings, it says "Your device already has the latest available system updates."
When I use the Sony app on my PC it says my system software is up to date.
I actually can't find anything about this issue, anybody here have any ideas?
Thanks!
try downloading and running xperifirm, find out if your region has the update at all, you should be able to update atleast to 7 anyway
There are a few variants that are considered as internal units or something like that and they don't get OTA updates, also HK units were stuck on 7 for some reason last time I checked. Mine is a french model, and yesterday I received the april security patches while the global variant got it two months ago

Thanks for the reply.
Here's a screenshot of Xperiafirm. https://ibb.co/dUCN3T
I'm in Canada, though I'm on Freedom Mobile, not Rogers or Bell. I don't think my carrier ever sold this phone, and I'm not sure what would happen if I flashed 8.0 made for Bell or Rogers phones.
Ideally I'd like 7.1.1 Canadian generic for Xperia X Performance, but I can't seem to find that anywhere.
I've also never done this so I don't really know what I'm doing, and don't want to void my warranty!
Thanks for you help!!
Good the ROMs that you see for Canada are all latest 8.0 with May security patches and maybe your phone is one of these and the updates just got stucked for some reason.
First you have to check what kind of model you have to check this, to do so you should open the dialler and type
*#*#7378423#*#*
From the service menu you should select -> Service Info -> Software Info and look for Customization Version:
As I said mine is a french model so it states 1302-9342_R2E your should be something different but only the first 8 numbers matter
then look this number in Xperifirm if yours is everything different from Internal Unit (second column from the screenshot) then there is a easy way to try and update without loosing your warranty
First there is always a risk! But I have done this a few times for my Xperia U and Xperia M5 and had no problems at all.
Do a backup - contacts...everything you need as it will delete them
charge the phone to at least 80%
then you should go to the Xperia Companion and do a software repair, not update but repair
It should install the latest version for your phone but it shows the version it installed only when it's finished...
Even if it has not installed the latest update then just connect the phone to your wifi/LTE and try the OTA updates again (could take up to an hour)
This is the safest way that will not void your warranty in any way but will delete your info (contacts, pics..etc. ) so do a backup prior
And if possible use a laptop with a working battery as even a 1 second glitch in the grid could cause the phone to get bricked
And if your phone is imported from China and the customization number is considered as an Internal Unit the only way you could get 7.0 or 8.0 is by flashing and another ftf file as the ones for Bell Canada or Rogers, there are actually some ROMs uploaded in XperiaBlog
there could be some in XDA but I have not search for any

Thanks so much for the reply...I discovered the version of Android installed on my phone is a version meant for Journalists/Reviewers/Commercial use, and can not be updated. I just got a refund for the 3-year warranty portion of my purchase after pointing this out to them. So after the 90 day warranty that came with it runs out, I'll be able to do anything I feel like with this device.
I'll be looking for a safe way to install 7.1.1 hopefully, and if not then 8.0. There seem to be less issues with 7.1.1, but there's really only one way to find out: when I start using it.
I'll definitely need a point in the right direction when it comes to that though. I understand Sony has an official flashing tool, and you have to unlock the bootloader (which is supported on my phone even with this version). But I haven't done it before and don't know how.

Desperately Need Help - Samsung SM-N960F/DS + T-mobile PUK and other issues.....

Hi. I am a complete noob when it comes to rooting Android.
**************************UPDATE************************************************
THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED. PLEASE SCROLL TO POST #89 ON PAGE 9 TO SEE THE SOLUTION.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77950935&postcount=89
***************************************************************************************************
I bought an *unlocked* Samsung Note 9 N960F/DS (Exynos 9810) international phone from a seller on ebay brand new and sealed. Received the phone yesterday (10/19/2018) and popped my working existing sim card from my iphone 6 with T-mobile into the new phone and it *worked*.........except no wifi calling.
Since my house has terrible reception I really do need wifi calling in order to receive calls (I use Skype for outbound). I decided to root and install Detonator (tekhd) even though I've never done this before. Somewhere along the line I messed up and installed the latest LUX ROM because I misred Tekhd's guide on Detonator (my fault).
Here's where I stand now: I found a stock ROM for this model (N960F/DS) and reinstalled it using Odin3 v3.13.1.
After a successful flash when I insert my working T-mobile sim I get "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."
Here the Service Provider SW shows XEU/XEU,XEU/MYM
I get the *same* message when I insert a spare T-mobile sim I happened to have that was confirmed as available with T-mobile customer service. If I take the working sim out and put it back into the other phone it works without a problem. I think that rules out the sim cards having issues.
Earlier when I had the phone rooted and Detonator installed (and working), I got a different message when I inserted the SIM:
Network Lock: This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible.
Please use the "Device Unlock" application to unlock the device.
Make sure the device has an internet connectivity to use the "Device Unlock application".
Here the Service Provider SW showed TMB/TMB/MYM.
I tried looking for a T-mobile Unlock App apk to download but could not find a recent one. I would get a "Device not supported" error. It seems T-mobile has taken it off the Playstore.
Now, I can't install a stock USA ROM from T-mobile because those ROMS are only for the Snapdragon versions and I have the Exynos chip. I was given two unlock codes over the phone with T-mobile customer service to try and unlock the Pin lock but they both did not work.
Do you think an unlock service will be able to provide me with a valid "Sim Network PUK" code? I'm happy to pay for the service if I can just get the damn phone working. I've spent almost $770 on this phone and in hindsight should just have gotten the T-mobile branded phone for $100 more. I'm really at a loss as to what I can do to rectify this situation.
Also in hindsight I should have done more research before purchasing the phone and also should have backed up my partition in TWRP........You live and you learn.
The irony here is that I had an unlocked phone.....and now it has somehow gotten locked.........by the carrier whose SIM card is working perfectly fine......in a different phone. The device was paid in full btw.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

this is a first. I always though once the region lock was lifted it couldn't be relocked( to me it seems to be a region lock issue, which if it is you need to make a 5 min call on region soil... good luck)
anyways check on your box there is a sticker with model and serial . find what carrier or region its from and grab that firmware and flash it. might want to factory wipe everything (including cache) in the recovery before booting it up indownlaod mode to do Odin flash.
also remove sim before wiping/ flashing, let it boot and do the initial setup then insert sim.

I did wipe and reinstall the stock rom with the sim removed. The strange thing is..........I get the same message if I insert an old, blank, unused t-mobile sim into the device. Plus the working sim works fine in my old phone. So how could it be that the sim is locked?
There is nothing on the box that says anything about a carrier. This was advertised and sold as a factory unlocked phone which by all indications it does seem to be. The only thing on the box that says anything about country is that it was manufactured in vietnam.

Yes there are stickers. But it is not associated with a carrier, specific region, or country. I just see IMEI info on the sticker on the back of the phone and S/N.

did you flash one of these?
these should be the original firmware U1 and the lates U2 which if you flash wint be able to downgrade bootloader but shouldn't be causing rhe sim lock issue.
flash U1 first and see if it fixes your issue. then try the October U2 just for fun
you can also download it using samfirm tool
enter 960F and MYM in settings it should also be a faster download then the web links

ok so it's too late for U1 . ure phone is already on U2 latest bootloader. so flash the October build
but be sure to wipe all with no sim before flashing
and in Odin fill in all slots and for csc use CSC but not HOME csc file.
good luck

yeah might as well use tarp. and erase all. but before, did you sift through internal s or ext s for an efs backup that detonator might have made automatically?
check for a folder called .backup and or for a file like:
efs_backup.img.gz
efs_backup.img
or anything similar

No, but I did download Dr. Ketan's tool to make an efs backup. But that was way later in the process....so it wasn't the original efs directory......It was after I flashed my current "stock" rom. I'm going to try and find another site to download since that one will take 2 days on slow speed......
Btw what does the ZBD mean? MYM I figured is Myanmar......

Who is your provider? Are you using SIM or eSIM? Are you rooted? Did you disable all the Magisk modules before the update? If you forgot that step, have you since disabled all Magisk modules and started over?
While you may be out of commission on the phone side (although, Google Voice would be a good band-aid), you may not be out of commission on the SMS side. Google's text app, Messaging, recently went live with RCS messaging and it can send texts via WiFi.
Incidentally, if it's Google Fi that's giving you fits, the same thing happens to me every time I do a clean install. Fi refuses to connect until I've rebooted two or three times and then the final confirmation comes several hours later.
im in malaysia bought secondhand 1 year ago on grey market , check my sim with another phone , working well on that phone. had been running my phone on regular stock since bought.

Okay, you answered almost none of my questions but it's irrelevant at this point because it sounds like the phone was stolen. If the IMEI is reported as stolen, it's flagged in a database and alerted carriers will shut off the service.
If that's the case, at this point, I'd be more concerned about the police knocking on my door than lack of mobile service. I'd send you over to IMEI.info to verify but I'm guessing I haven't told you anything you didn't already know.
imei number legit not reported or blacklisted, but yeah i think this phone is doomed unless there some magic update resolved this

Why don't you try to reset using the last official 10 firmware (to reset all partitions), then activate through setup, then flash and test a custom rom. This is of course only possible if it's an unlocked bootloader (which you didn't mention) but that's where I'd start especially if it worked before the update. You say is legit and sounds like it worked BEFORE the last update so roll back and then use a custom rom.

Unfortunately it's my best guess because I can't reproduce it myself but if it worked prior to the firmware upgrade, it should work by reverting the firmware to the previous firmware in my opinion. I'd take it the step furtherand go with a custom 10 ROM to remove Google firmware updates messing with it in the future (assuming we get it working again).
Interestingly enough, I searched other forums and found other users reporting the same issue. Again, assuming it worked on the previous firmware, I would roll bak to it. Ideally, I would rollback to 10 because I know 10 works (not sure how well it works for you in your local and provider), but thats where I would start. Backup everything you need, then use the last 10 firmware to -w the device and activate then start over.

S20FE Not Updating since OneUi 3 and Android 11

Hello all.
My S20FE (SM-G780F) has not updated from OneUi 3 and Android 11. It always says that I'm using the latest software. I've tried factory resetting the phone and using Smart Switch to no avail.
I'm in the UK. Never lived anywhere else. I reside here permanently. It's where I bought my phone brand new.
I checked the service provider software version and it says ZT0/ZTO,ZTO/EUX . However, when I use the dialler method to check the same information it says the CSC is BTL3.
I researched and ZTO seems to refer to Brazil. I've never been to Brazil or anywhere in that vicinity so I don't know why it says ZTO as the service provider information.
Could this be why I'm having issues updating? If the phone thinks it's Brazilian then it would stop me updating if I'm in the UK? Is that correct?
Samsung suggested I send it to them to flash the drive but they require a proof of purchase and as I bought the phone over 2 years ago I can't for the life of me find the original order email.
Just for clarification the phone has never been rooted or modded and all software etc is "official." I've looked into flashing the software with Odin. Would I need ro download the update file for the CSC my phone says it is or for the CSC it should be? Do I only download the latest update or would I have to stack them and download all the previous ones my phone missed too?
Please help before I tear my hair out.
flashing the phone yourself with Odin is very easy, there are dozens of YouTube vids to get an idea from. actually downloading the firmware is more difficult.
whoever sold you the phone is who you should be angry at, it obviously wasn't intended for use here. let me know if you want help flashing!
Same thing happened to my Mom's phone (a Galaxy A series device).

S20FE rooted super weird problem

Hi, im kinda desperate cause i really dont know what to do , here is my issue:
I bought a second hand s20fe i didnt know but its rooted and i want to remove it
The problem is that i tried booting it to download mode removing the root and trying to flash a original samsung stock firmware from odin, but it keep getting a error. Well i realized that the phone original model is SM G780G
And that the software that it had , was the SM G780F
So i downloaded a software for the G780F and apparently it worked with odin
But i want the original G780G software... what can i do?

I'm pretty sure your problem is:
you want to install a system with wrong binary.
Go into download mode and see what binary you have.
After you are sure which binary has downloaded the system you need and that's it.
if you have binary 3
upgrade to binary 3
If you can show a photo of what binary you have to observe.
Binario 1

I would like to tell you the full problem tho if you are so kind to give me a hand. I bought the s20fe second hand and it was rooted with a patched imei (the box and the software imei didnt match), i checked both imei and they are not blocked , so the phone isnt stolen. But here is the thing, the model in the box says 780G, and this software is 780F, the soft and the imei doesnt match. I tried rooting and unrooting, but now i dont have signal and i still have the same imei and software version, i would like to switch to the original imei cause im sure im able to use it , as well i would like to install the proper software version.

the equipment is not G780G.
1.G780G goes up to binary 4
2.G781B arrives
up to binary 5
3.G781U /U1 /V / N / W . go up to binary A(10)
4.G780F reaches binary A(10)
your equipment is a G780F and not a G780G. You can never load a system from another team, only from your variant.
Download an example system:
G780FXXUAFWB6
Currently there is the binary B(11).
luck.
unfortunately
it was advisable to leave it as it was when buying it.
if everything worked fine, there was no need to update.
just leave it with the system that was already installed.
since to change the imei, chimeratools, z3x is used. etc
They are paid applications and experience is required for it.
I used the z3x, that's why I'm telling you.
I dont understand, cause the model is in the back of the phone...

It didnt worked fine tho, i had a very low signal, now that i made a mess of course i would love to be back, but i dont know how to install a signal patch and i doubt that samsung would help me if im out of warranty, so i basically lost half of my saves on a phone that i can barely use now... what a luck

Personally, it is impossible to install an exynos system on a snapdragon.
It's like putting the engine from one car to another, just like that.
the cover says one thing, your phone another.
the caps are interchangeable.
Those can be put from an s20 fe exynos to a snapdragon.
check well.
personally you have a G780F.
try not to upload to binary B(11)
you will have to pay to solve the problem.
install software that it had initially, if the system was binary 9, it will be impossible.
install

the interchangeable cap make sense and also solve the imei trouble, i will choose to believe in your experience. But logically, then the email should be the one that is on the software right? and not in the cap? i already installed that version you told me, but how can i restore the signal? i just need to restore that and i will be able to sleep cause ive been awake almost 10 hours trying to figure out this mess
I really don't know if you can fix it.
I think your equipment was only rooted. The signal always worked.
I never touched the imei of your equipment.
It may even be that you are presenting a software error. once going to binary B. you will not be able to return to binary A.
if the problem does not recover without any update. It could be a problem with the internal antennas.
that they are disconnected.
I realized the problem, the case was switched indeed. And the original imei was changed because it was blocked. Since i update to the most recent binary and there is no chance to downgrade that, i wont be able to use sim cards anymore or at least until there is a new versión for patching the signal. I dont know which program the technicians use so i dont know if im ever going to recover the phone. An awful purchase and a even better movement from my part trying to update the android and removing the root. Im just disappointed, i hope this thread helps someone to not make the same mistakes...
At this point i dont even mind to pay for a signal patch, but there isnt a update for the system they use to do it. If someone knows anything about it, would be pretty helpful.
I understand what you're saying:
As a technician I understand.
Always before making changes, you have to know what we are getting into.
If you already knew that the imei was repaired and patched, for nothing in the world to update.
as advice, do not upgrade to binary B
stay in binary A.
The solution will come out, it always comes out for computers with an unlockable bootloader.
stay on february patch one ui 5.1 with binary A.
The rest are security updates.
Before listening to me, check that the system does not contain bugs.
in the best of cases, repair and sell, buy a G780G or G781B
luck.
