I bought the Zagg , it was the only one offered when preordering P7 and I thought Zagg had a decent rep.
The install is one of the best I have used. I thought if I got any dust motes, they would be absorbed after 24 or so hours as all previous Glass has done.
Nope, noway Nicht, not happenin' here.
*heavysigh*
Nice enough glass but its just those 5 lil spec bubbles that are still there.
Fingerprint scanner works just fine, glass is slick.
Anyone else have a better option/experience?
I have a Whitedome on order too.

The amFilm cases here are incredible. FP works every single time, I didn't even have to re-enroll with the protector on, no bubbles, etc. Three for $10, you just cannot beat it.

I got the Ivoler tempered glass from Amazon and it is crap. Don't buy this. I just ordered another brand and will report later.
- Ivoler -
Pros: comes with an installation frame, has 2,5D edges, length is OK
Cons: gets greasy and smudgy fast, fingerprint and touchinput really suck (even after setting up fingerprints two more times), it's a bit too narrow regarding the width

You got the ZAGG Glass Elite for like $50 ... ? Isn't that a brazen rip off? I mean ... 50 bucks where others cost $5-15? Even if it was superior $50 would be too much.

That one is available for Germany too. Gonna get it maybe if the just ordered "HidWee" from Amazon suck. Man, I love buying a smartphone for like 750€, plus a charger for 30€ and then buying gear for it tryna find the good stuff paying like 100€ extra for stuff that just sucks LOL. I'm so glad I'm rich. jk, I'm not rich, I'm nuts.
Agreed, that's pretty wild. IF it covered the last mm to the edge of the screen, us rich folk might consider if we're just nuts enough

Sometimes buying something like the Whitedome (which is pretty good I read) would be better than buying 5-6 packs of ****ty $10 tempered glass screen protectors. But on the other hand, if you buy the cheap stuff and let's say on the first or second order you get the real thing (which happened very often to me during the last 10 years) that's better for your wallet I guess.

It's 50 on their www, preorder from Google 40. Yeah it's a lot but there was bugger all available until the phone actually released and I didn't want to take a chance on the screen, bad enough I went without a case for 2 days. I thought about returning the glass, any glass theses days that doesn't absorb dust motes is bad glass imo. The_tech is there ffs. Yeah it's a lot, you are correct.

This product gets more and more bad 1 star reviews.
The HidWee sucks too. Fingerprint is better than with other glasses, but it does not stick well on the edges. Sigh. Let's wait for other products.
oh man, that rating is tanking indeed. fwiw, mine went on perfectly, all corners and no bubbles, on the first try.
fingerprint misses sometimes, but far and away better than the 6, which is the only reason i upgraded because it was so bad. i'd say it gets it 9/10, but i do gotta put my finger flat on there.
Amazon: B0BG3DZBYX
This one is cheap, but one of the better TGSP for Pixel 7. FP works better than with the previous tested. Not perfect, but better. Edges are OKish, not 100% sticky, but better than the HidWee.
Bought one, it doesn't appear as a repackaged P6 glass protector, and dimensions are OK, but the edges do not stay down and I have a tiny border around my phone where the protector is coming up a bit. Is this probably a rebranded P6 protector?
I usually don't like plastic protectors but I ordered Ringke Dual Easy Film as first protector before finding the perfect glass. And I gotta say, this is quite good. It is not glass-good but as a plastic protector it does its job well. Oleophobic coating is quite good and the install method was quick and painless.
The edges are sharp when you swipe them but good case helps with that.
And the fingerprint works as it should with a plastic protector.
Gonna keep this one before finding just the right glass!
I bought the caseology screen protector(no hole in the screen protector) and applied it. It fits perfectly with the ringke case and after re-registerin the fingerprint it works almost perfect.
Am 3 pack are decent. Apply perfect, no bubbles, good price, but doesn't cover entire screen. 1mm gap on all edges of phone...
After using a screen protector from Amazon which rendered the fingerprint sensor basically useless, I've orderered and tested a few models from Aliexpress.
This one seems to be the best so far. Sizing is pretty good and the sensor works nearly as good as without a protector. Still not perfect, but reasonable well for the not so great optical sensor of the Pixel. The seller claims a thickness of only 0.26mm (most of the other brands I've seen are >0.3mm) which might be the reason why this one performs better.

Has anyone tried Mr. Shield? https://a.co/d/hreYG9j
I have been using them on all my family's phones for years. They definitely honor their lifetime warranty, very easy... just send an email with Amazon receipt and pic of the damaged protector and they ship a whole new package.
I have one on my Pixel 6 and the fingerprint works okay-ish. I was going to order it for my soon to be delivered Pixel 7, but the reviews have me a bit worried.
I got this from Amazon US and it works perfectly. This is my 4th screen guard and by far the best.

I can't figure out why there isn't a thread on this in the Accessories section of the forum. Those crazy Euro guys have a few threads on this topic and we have none.
Well, be it Zagg, Clear-Coat, Lexerd, BodyGuardz, etc? Is there a comprehensive comparison out there somewhere? All I ever see from Google searches is forums with everybody saying something different and defending their single purchase.
I think almost everything is going to end up being more subjective when it comes to these.
I have used many kinds in the past and each time I get a new device I always order a Phantomskinz.
I only wish they offered just the screen part in matte, but for under $8 for two skinz shipped I have found it to have the best clarity and feel.
I am horrible at putting protectors on and something always goes wrong, but even with the little imperfections I don't notice them when using the device.
Like the Boxwave - they have both crystal and matte. Like it because it fits the tMobile version perfectly and there is protection for the entire front glass surface including around the bottom surrounding the buttons. Have had them before on all my touch and non touch screen phones. You do have to be careful when applying to avoid bubbles but it can be removed and reapplied again and again.
best screen protector by far to me is the Clarivue screen protector. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-x-Clarivue-Sc...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c1323f296
I've used it on all of my phones, ( htc dash, tilt, g1, fuze, and now my hd2) all came in a two pack, with a screen cleaning wipe, no adhesive, self clinging, I won't buy anything else.
Invisible Shield from Zagg
Second time I've used 'em. First time was on my Samsung Behold and it actually increased the touch screen performance.
Just got the full coverage on my HD2 last night. Still trying to get used to it. It's definitely more "grabby". Seems to make your fingers stick to the screen, which in turn activates an unwanted app or link. It's only been a day and I'm sure it will smooth out and become more responsive. It did for my Samsung. It will give the back of your phone a gloss look, which I don't care for, but it won't get scratches when it sits in my pocket or slides across my dash. It will fell less slippery in your hands too.
Pricey but worth it in the end. If anyone is considering it, PM me, I think I have a discount code floating around in my email somewhere I can pass on.
Hope that helps.
Why do you want a screen protector? the screen is scratch resistant. I watched my TMO sales rep attack it with the end of a pair of hardcore scissors and not a scratch on the demo model.

Several peeps from this site have said that they have gotten scratches on their HD2 screen. But yeah, I've seen the videos, but never tried it myself. I still use a screen protector just in case.
I think the Zagg are too thick and dont like the "orange peel" effect they give. I tried a few different brands and have nothing but great things to say about Clear Coat. Easy to install too. I take mine back once a month just to get a replacement whether it needs it or not. They replace no questions asked every time. No hassle. My favorite so far.
Clear Coat
BW UltraClear from Brando
My current phone is an Xperia, and I'm using the BW UltraClear. I've had it on my Axim and iMate Jam as well. It doesn't have a grainy look, and it works great with my stylus. I ordered one last week in preparation for the HD2, and another one for my gf's iPod Touch. The cheap screen protector is messing up her touch response.
i still have yet to find a good one...cheap ones are crap with touch responsiveness, good ones wear out quick

Skinomi TechSkin: a bit daunting to put on, uses a "wet water" solution, worked fine on the first try. Screen cover is a little thicker and more "grabby" than I expected. Touch & pinch thru the film is fine, not as good as no protector at all. Transparency is excellent.
Microthin dry-transfer film: easy to apply, to re-apply, and to replace. Much thicker than the Skinomi. Touch thru the film is fine, but pinch operations take a little getting used to.
Stock coating (no after-market cover): Great touch, no scratches in 2 weeks' everyday use. If Seidio or someone comes out with a good, soft-lining face-in holster, I'd skip the screen skin.
just recieved the vikuiti screen protector and despite all the rumours of it not fiting the tmobile u.s. version because of the 1.5mm difference...i can confirm that it fits perfectly and fingers glide smoothly across the screen on my phone...even covers under the buttons unlike many other protectors...they also come with warranty...if it doesnt stick or starts to come up they will send out a replacement for no charge...or so they say...havnt had to try it yet...cost a little over 10 dollars and arrived in 5 days from HK to US
also the capdase hard silicone case works great with our version as well...just off slightly off at the bottom by the microphone but people can still hear just fine.....very snug and not feeling loose...it keeps the contour of the phone on the back which i like and it still keeps the phone slim...totally transparent...covers the camera in the back so it can be left on a table without suffering any scratches to the chrome bezel or the camera lens...looks sweet...cost is $13.40 shipped and arrived in 5 days from hong kong
Kind of a gamble but for me it worked out perfectly and exactly what i was looking for..
I must have sticky fingers because I have a hard time sliding my finger across the glass. Kind of a pain because I love Swype. So, the question for me is which protector is the slickest?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

it doesn't cover the entire screen.

it covers the entire viewable screen, it does not cover part of the black area which is not important and accounts for less than 3/4 of a square inch.
i guess it's a matter if preference, i do not see this as a deal breaker, as it does what it is intended to do and its inexpensive and matte - good for me - maybe u will find one more to your tastes
I picked up the Vikuiti DQC-160 for a TMOUS HD2 and I can confirm it fits perfectly, despite being manufactured for the Euro version. From what I understand the TMOUS version is about one millimeter taller, but it must be in the bezel and not the screen.
Applying the protector was effortless, has no orange peel effect, and essentially feels like I'm touching glass. I'm very happy with it thus far.

Looking for advice on screen protector vs. no screen protector for my shiny new Moto X that just arrived. I can't seem to find one locally so I'll have to order something online if I need it (tried local AT&T, Best Buy, and Office Max because I was walking by it). I used to run a Ghost Armor protector on my old Galaxy Nexus but took it off for the last 4-5 months or so before I moved to a Lumia 1020. The GNex with Samsung's version of Gorilla Glass 2 had no scratches on it. So I figured I'd not run one on the Lumia which had GG 3 (same as the Moto X).
However my Lumia has two nice strips of rubbed in scratches across the top & bottom parts of the screen about 1/2 an inch in from the edge that I noticed after a few months and they have just gotten worse in the last year. I'm paranoid the same thing is going to happen to the Moto since it's also GG 3. The phone always goes in a pants pocket with a plastic eye drop bottle but never keys.
I live recklessly. No screen protector or case. I was in a position where someone was telling me to get one, but I like the feeling of the glass on the curving at the edges. A screen protector would disrupt the flow. I take really good care of my phones anyway. My HTC One M7 I had before for over a year didn't have anything and it only has one thin scratch from my girlfriend's diamond earrings. Which by the way, pro tip: warn people with diamond earrings to mind your phone if you let someone use it.
Personal preference, but I like the phone how it is. I don't buy a good looking phone to put a case on it.
I usually think that screen protectors, and cases are like insults to the designers who made this delightful piece of machinery... so no screen for me, and no cases, naked Moto X for me.. as always!
Do you guys put your phones in your pockets or? I thought I took good care of my phones until the glass on my Lumia.

There's always going to be those guys that don't use screen protectors, and the ones that do. I'm one that does. I've had my X exactly 1 week without a protector, but am expecting it in the mail tomorrow. No scratches at this point, and I prefer to keep it that way with a little more solid protection than just the type of glass it is. I always order Japanese pet film from amazon, much cheaper than in store, and is a hard material so screen still feels natural.

I usually don't use screen protectors or cases, but I have found that I am incredibly clumsy with this phone so far and have managed to dent the edges of the phone and scratch the screen a bit. So now I use a naked tough case and a cheap matte screen protector. I was a bit hesitant on the matte protector but thankfully I like it very much. I even like the papery feel to it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app
No screen protector here. I switch between 3 phones daily and none of them have screen protectors. Aside from the fact that glass is pretty hard to scratch, I just like the feel of the bare glass and see no point in protecting a screen that you're never going to touch (if you use a protector). Just take care of it and you'll be fine. I do use cases on two of my phones, but the Moto X (which is my primary phone) stays naked 98% of the time.
All of my previous phones had a screen protector installed immediately, my Moto X hasn't had one since I got it.
I planned on getting one but the mall kiosk that used to be ghost armor, then another brand isn't there any longer. I cannot do them myself because of my OCD, I always ruin it somehow, believe me I have tried.
I have a very slim case on the X but I am tempted to not use that as well and go completely naked, would be the first time I have ever done that.
I'll always use a screen protector, even though I'm very careful with the devices. To me, since I already take very good care of the device - I'm extra picky on getting a screen protector that is very thin and clear. The device has curved glass towards the edges, so don't expect that to be covered unless you get one of those heat-application full coverage protectors.
This is the one I ended up going with... after 2 months or so, it's still fantastic. If you are familiar with the old Reallook protectors, this one's identical to that. Static application, plain and simple, thin with no orange peel.

Thanks for the tip. Those are cheap, I'll grab a pack of them to get by for now and give me some time to figure out if there are better ones. The whole tempered glass thing has me intrigued but a quick search showed they seem to want to hit those curved edges which causes them to not work well either.

Yeah I was really thinking about the tempered glass also, but I was worried about thickness and feel (as it wouldn't cover the edges either) - and eventually decided against it.
With today's technology, the phones don't need screen protector at all, but if you insist on running a screen protector, I'd suggest tempered screen protector as the ordinary ones are even not protective enough than the screen itself. One thing you should also consider is, running a tempered screen protector will make the touch reponse insensitive according to my personal experience.

Well, I thought I didn't need one on the phone I had before the Moto X, a Lumia 1020 that is also supposed to use Gorilla Glass 3. I think I mentioned already I have a Galaxy Nexus with Samsung's version of GG2 that had no screen protector for the last 4 months or so that I used it daily before getting the Lumia and it had no problems with scratches. The Lumia however in the same time started getting what you see in the attached picture. That picture is today after owning for a year and doing nothing differently than the Gnexus. The only other thing ever in the same pocket is a plastic eye drop bottle. In some ways it looks almost like a coating was rubbed off, but there are some good solid scratches in it as well that are not just some coating. So that's why I was paranoid about the Moto X.

I found a 3 pack of tempered glass screen protectors for $9 USD on Amazon (with free Prime shipping!) so I caved and ordered them. It was such an amazing deal that I figured if I didn't like them it wasn't a big loss (not like $30+ name brand ones anyway). I must say, I'm pretty impressed. My only complaint is that they don't cover all the glass, but they really can't because of the curved edges on the X. It was super easy to install, and I got it on PERFECTLY with zero imperfections like dust, etc. It doesn't affect screen sensitivity at all, and since it's glass it still feels great. I'm surprising myself here, but I definitely recommend them, especially for people like me that generally hate screen protectors. For $9 for 3 of them you really can't go wrong.

Can you post a pic of what it looks like? (or a link to the post if I missed it somewhere) I'm curious how "not covered" the screen is since the only place I noticeably see a curve is right at the edge where it meets the bezel.

Here ya go. I think the screen starts sloping a little bit before it hits the obviously rounded edges. I read reviews for a bunch of different glass screen protectors and they were all either a little too small like mine, or the right size but the edges don't stick right because of the sloped glass. I bought one from a different manufacturer for my iPhone 6 as well and it has the same issue. The screen protector I have for it is just as small as the one for the Moto X because it too has rounded edges. It was annoying at first (on both phones) but I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me any more. I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep using them though, as I still prefer a bare screen.

Ah ok. Thanks for the pic, that looks like the same coverage as the Mr. Shield PET protectors I just bought. So I think I could live with that. Yeah I'd rather go without anything, but after my experience with that Lumia and GG3 I'm just paranoid. I've never had any other phone do that, and I would expect a screen protector to look just as bad after a few months if not worse so that makes it really confusing to me that it happened.
I've got the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and while it is beautifully made of corning gorilla glass 4, I couldn't afford to just leave it naked, especially that it's valued at $700+. I've got four screen protectors on my list that qualifies for the S6 Edge.

My first choice was Skinomi but at that time, it run out of stock so I've looked for another brand and choose IQ Shield Liquid Skin protectors for my device. If you asked me why I didn't choose SuperShields eventhough it was relatively super cheap, $1.99 , it's because their reviews are not satisfactory and Armorsuit was too expensive.
Oh well, IQ Shield Liquid Skin protectors on Amazon claims to be "smooth to touch, anti-scratch, no bubbles, edge to edge coverage, clarity and ultra responsive". Did it live up to their advertisement? I cannot say it was 100% but it was close to perfect. It was ended smooth to touch, edge to edge coverage and ultra responsive. There were bubbles and it was not clear right after installation but it says on the box that it should dissipate after the film settles onto the device, 3-4 days or so and it did. The anti-scratch is yet to be tested. But so far, all is well. I have no complaint.
Word of caution,it's wet install but I can vouched that it's harmless. Just be sure to follow the instructions and no, you don't need to wait for 48 hours so you can use your device. I did it at night before going to sleep and the next day, I was able to use it. Bonus, they offer lifetime warranty.
I tried the supershield. It did fit edge to edge, however it did not stick to the edges well. I found myself having to push the edges down every time I picked the phone up. It was very annoying. Finally, I just took it off. I'm now waiting for the skinomi skin I ordered. I've used skinomi before several years ago but it was a design and not clear. I'll update once I try it out.

How easy is it to install? Usually you use the corners as visual cues for alignment, and I feel it's gotta take at least a little longer to install the damn thing on the phone, haha. Really, though, wish phones just came with these things installed. I'm pretty good at installing things now, but every time I do it, I get a ridiculous amount of stress.
super easy; I used to sensors on top to get the alignment, and once that was in place it was simple to just lay it down, move it around slightly, and push the bubbles and water out from the center to the edges. Once that was in place, I waited a minute or two, the went over it again, pushing out all the bubbles and moisture, and then used a credit card wrapped in the included cloth to push down the edges, and boom, entire job took less than 5 minutes.
There is a video on their site showing you how to do it, but it was super easy. Once its on nice and flat, leave the phone alone for a couple of hours, and, you should be fine. I waiting until the next morning to put the case on, just to make sure not to push the edges up, and its fine now!
The IQ Shield was on sale yesterday. Not sure if it still is. http://slickdeals.net/f/7784145-iq-...ipped-full-body-1-99-shipped-amazon-deals?v=1

Anyone tried the for curved screens? http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-curved-screen-protector-p52772.htm
Probably the first phone im not even going to bother with a screen protector. The gorilla glass is just that good on its own lol. See how i go, hopefully I won't regret it
I had one of the invisible shield ones installed at best buy today. Fits perfectly and they did a good job with it. Prefer the glass ones, but this looks good. Wish they'd had a back version.

Guys, I tried Skinomi and it looked ugly, I guess the liquid installation ones are sorta rubbery and take the beauty and ease of use away. I will use mine naked with low profile case. Also, if anyone is interested in Skinomi from amazon.com, here are some promos, it makes it under a dollar shipped for screen protector only!! Hit thanks if you like.

Don't bother with the Healing Shield Matt. Yes it covers the whole screen but nightmare to apply and impacts the quality of the screen too much. Makes the screen too fuzzy http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/251899776472?nav=SEARCH

I'm considering whether or not to keep my S6 Edge as the glare on the corners on the sides is bothersome when watching videos. Do any of the screen protectors mentioned in this thread help cut down on glare? (I was thinking the Skinomi Matte Skin based on the reviews)
I'm convinced that the Edge feels like a more engaging device without a screen protector getting in the way
the Skinomi fits really well, and doesn't get in the way of anything, and gives you a little piece of mind, in case you drop it on a rock face down..

Between these two, I'll go for Skinomi. Like I've said earlier, Skinomi was my first choice but they run out of stock. Now that I have IQshield LiquidSkin screen protector, I'll settle for this and see how long it will lasts. So far it's doing good. Btw, Skinomi really have great fitment, great reviews.. Try it and see for yourself
Hey guys check out Verizon. They carry a dry version of Zagg that does not use a liquid spray. It comes with front and back and covers edges as well. I picked it up at my local corporate verizon store. I tried it out as I couldn't seem to find a dry install anywhere online and personally don't like the protectors that use liquid sprays. I personally like it and think it looks great. It takes a day or two to finally set in. After the second day mine self healed all the bubbles and looks perfect now.

A curved design non tempered glass though. But not sticky enough on sides to keep screen protector in place on one side so have ordered a replacement http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-f...xy-s6-edge-curved-screen-protector-p52772.htm
Since there is no thread opened for discussion on screen protector. So I will start this off.
Feel free to add your own findings or discussions in this thread whether it's a glass screen protector, PET screen protector or those wet flexible type.
Found a few glass screen protector on the market, most being non full coverage due to the 2.5D curved edge on the xperia X performance. I don't have X performance ATM, but should have it on the 29th, so I can't actually test them out yet, but these protector should work for both the X and X performance.
Got this locally from china at a cost about USD 0.30 each, doesn't cover the full glass area due to the curved edges, but being cheap to buy, there is no reason not to try them out.

Purchased these 3 days ago, and had them delivered today, these being full coverage and at excellent quality, the cost is also very expensive, this one shown in the photo's that I purchased being the cheapest of the 4 types on offer, the full screen protector underneath has adhesive, color available is metalic glittered/gloss finished.
Normal clear version PET edge with 0.21mm thick glass available to match all 4 color variation.
Super hard clear version PET edge with 0.21mm thick glass available in gray and white only.
Private version PET edge with 0.21mm thick glass available in gray and white only.
Mirror/non reflective version (not 100% sure) PET edge with 0.21mm thick glass available in gray and white only
price starts from approximate USD 27.50- USD 38 for different versions.
Seen these available in china, 100% glass, just like the ones for samsung S7 or the LG G5, only has double side adhesive on the edge, the active part has no adhesive, cost approximate USD 5- USD 15, the prices will slowly drop with time.
Another one is PET and Glass, all clear, from china, cost approximate USD 10
One's from china can be purchased from www.taobao.cn or www.aliexpress.com
The other one can be purchased from www.amazon.co.jp or www.yahoo.co.jp
No direct link will be given, so you have to search those sites for them, and yes you can purchase them, but not directly if you don't live in those countries, but there are ways to purchase them and will incure additional cost.
Just gimme a link!

I bought a black one too, a few days ago when there was no comment on amazon.co.jp.
*The full screen cover (with pet) one
When i look at it again today, it has only 1 star.
The comments are focused on it blocks the screen edge, oh well, we shall see orz.
From what i tried, most tempered glass are doomed, at least the ones i bought aren't even fitting the curve. (not to mention the size is totally off as well)
I am thinking to use paste now, dealing with glass is a damn...
or get a scr56?

The quality looks good, and unlike the Chinese one, adhesive is covers 95% of the back including the glass screen, just the edge about 1.5mm of the edge has no adhesive.
Probably the best one you can get at present with full coverage.
Updated the first post with the protector on my phone, it's not stuck down yet, as I still have 14 return period.
I like to point out for those who intend to a glass screen protector on the X or XP, it will affect the touch screen, I know this as I experienced this personally.
I have enabled the double tap wake and sleep, although double tap isn't affected, double tap to wake does not work well with a glass protector.
I'd like to point out XXP is prone to be scratched.
My XXP has one line of scratch after 15 days usage.
Does anyone know what is the screen glass brand this time?
Seems far fragile than Corning Gorilla glass.
I finally put the screen protector on, it fits on well and looks good, but those who has the intention to get one, do note you will still get bubbles along the sides, although it does has the bubbles, I don't regret having it, the bubbles don't show up well.

Yes I totally agree with you, I've always used the double tap to wake feature and after applying my tempered glass protector it sometimes takes around 4-6 taps lol, but at times it can pick up 2 taps. I received my replacement Terrapin Hardcase the other day and it's a great fitting case I think, aswell as the gel one.

If you use a glass screen protector at 0.21mm, it should be alright, the one i'm using is 0.21mm and work alright.
I think if you use glove mode it works much better, but I also think it uses more power and battery.

Could you please upload a picture with screen on?
I would like to see how much does the Deff one covered. (left/right edge of the screen)
After 1 week ,my protector arrives, and i totally forget its G-Color. (the only(?) one with full frame on amazon.com)
upside is,
The sides are really thin, so it doesn't cover the screen part.
And it fits pretty well for the whole (front) surface.
downside is,
Made in china, so the quality of the glass is kinda low.
It does get fingerprint extremely easy, i never had any other protector/glass one can do this.
Also, i doubt its "hardness", after 3 days of use, there are some cracks from the microphone slot already.
There is another one called RASTA BANANA/ラスタバナナ, currently it has highest comment and price in amazon jp.
rbdirect.jp/rb <-offical shop site, according to this site, scr56 is made by them.
I couldn't find any retailer sells this and ships to US, so either get Deff one or wait for SCR56 for me orz.

The color part of the protector covers about 0.5mm past the screen, and the adhesive covers the whole of the protector, the G color is only on the top/bottom and bezel, just like the g color the deff is also made in china, but with japanese material, for your information, no glass protector supports the hardness of 9H this is BS, the whole screen protector is really thin.
I can say this is probably the only screen protector i've used that reduces not finger print, altough they all do attrach fingerprint, but it's very minimum compare to others.
I also will have a RASTA BANANA/ラスタバナナ soon, it's even much more expensive, I have a friend to buy this from one of those larger chain stores in japan during their visit on the 19th of July, just use a agent if you want to buy them, they can send worldwide.
I will have a SBC 30 soon, us that preordered the XP before the 16th June, all get extra 12 months warranty, Sony Mobile umbrella (very good quality), SBC 30 case to match the phone in same color, HKD100 supermarket coupon, a Momax well known branded, quality bluetooth wireless speaker and a 32GB memory card.
The price of my DEFF is 2800yen, but the RASTA BANANA/ラスタバナナ is like 4300yen these price is just the protector itself.
I just order yesterday a Skinomi full screen coverage and body for Xperia X on Amazon US. It on the way now. Hope it will be good because I have to pay 25$ after tax for glass screen protect.
I got the G Color one and it fits very well, no bubbles. I wish it was clear though, so I also ordered the Deff which arrives next week to see if I like the look better. Both available on Amazon in US.

I like the Deff more than the G Color because it actually adheres to the screen making touch more accurate. It also looks better because they matched the graphite color exactly. My G Color cracked at the edges after one week, not very durable. Hoping the Deff lasts longer.

hey guys
like many here i pre ordered the note 8. i also have a UAG Monarch case pre ordered.
since this is my first phone with a edge screen i noticed that it will be kinda hard to find a good screen protector. for 2 days im looking through amazon to find something but for now it seems impossible to find something decent.
glass screen protectors seem to be really bad on edge phones so i really don't want or need one of those. also because i only get a screen protector for minor scratches and not for other reasons like a shattered screen.
also there are so many cheap asia products which seem to be from the same factory but just rebranded with different names. the protectors, the packaging, everything looks the same except the name on it. mostly them, but also many others got so many fake reviews that i will not buy them ever, even if they were really good, which i doubt.
for example stuff from those companys: supcase, profer, cubevit, g-color, danibos, klearlook, moko, yootech and so on. all fake and crap.
i also looked for a s8+ screen protector just so i can see which brand is good and which one i should get for the note 8 but there isn't even something good for the s8+. WTF!!! even the one from spigen seems to be crap.
so can any one in here recommend me a simple nice tpu screen protector with edge sides covered which will also be case friendly???
i had a s4 before and i took of my screen protector 6 months ago. since then i got many minor scratches even tho i got nothing then my phone in my pockets. so i don't want this to happen with my new phone.
please guys im getting crazy here. only 10 more days to find something. thanks!!!
ok i think i will try this one and hope it will be good.
maybe someone else in here tried this brand already on s8/s8+ and can tell me something about it?
thanks!!

I'm not a big fan of plastic protectors - in terms to protecting against scratches they are better than nothing, but generally suffer from poor oleophobic properties, don't feel as "slick" as glass, and sometimes mark up when using the S-Pen.

+1 glass is much better way to go!
i gave in and had best buy put on an invisibleshield hd on my note 8.. I am pleasantly surprised by the nice feel and so far no spen issues with marking..its case friendly and im glad i had them apply it.. (also price matched for $19.99 from zagg) i went through 2 different tempered glass ones off amazon ..Honestly i think im going to keep this one on for the duration.. it fits perfect and since its case friendly theres no lifting up at the edges.

There obviously could be a huge variation in the quality of the sticky-edged/dot-matrix type protectors, but it's difficult to imagine any coming close to the performance of the Whitestone with regard to sensitivity, clarity, fit and feel.
The Whitestone isn't cheap, but it is very good.

Note 8 screen protector/cases
I have the Note 8 with a Zagg HD Clear Invisible Shield (not the glass one) and a Otterbox Defender case. Not happy with either. The Defender case pushes on the edges of the screen protector and it peels up. Not too happy with the Otterbox Defender holster. It's flimsy and doesn't hold on to the case very well. I have problems with my phone being popped or pulled out of the holster of something rubs or catches on it. It comes out pretty easy. It's not held in the holster very well at all. Anyway, I just purchased a Whitestone. I hear they're the best glass protectors. As far as compatible cases, I know there are some YouTube videos that people test screen protectors with various cases.
