Question Called to indicate that the call is in progress - Google Pixel 7

I am using a China Mobile SIM card, and I am called to remind the user that the call is in progress, but there is nothing on my side. How do I set it up?

Call transferring

Don't know if this is Kaiser only, but since I'ts a kaiser thats giving me grief here goes...
We're using a mobile switchboard and as part of the group answering our main phonenumber I'd really like to be able to transfer calls with my Kaiser...
Normal phones (as in my last Nokia E61i as well as my N95) gives me the options to park the current call, dial my colleague and then "transfer".. I can't find this option on my Kaiser..
Is this option not available in WM6 or is it HTC that has "removed" it? Or perhaps, is there a thirdparty software to help me with it
Go to Start / Settings / Phone / Services / Call Forwarding.
I'm talking about call transferring not call forwarding..
Transfer = I answer the call, call another contact & transfer it to him..
Forward = all my calls go to another contact and/or number...
Can I push this up, cause I'm desperatly looking for this function on the kaiser.
Maybe there's some addon or a special key combination to activate call transfer on the htc kaiser?
yep - this is possible but is network dependent.
you need to put the call on HOLD.
call your colleage/2nd party.
CONFERENCE the call (so you and 2 callers can hear each other)
then YOU hang up - they are left connected and chatting (but at the expense of YOUR bill!!!)
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the answer! I will try this when I'm back in my company.
The costs are no problem because we call each other in the company for free and the call transfer is only needed to redirect customers to the right contact but I think it's a long way round when there could be a simple option in the menu (like hold and conference). Every other mobile I know offers a direct way to do this (either a menu item called transfer or by pressing a number).

Tested it and it doesn't work. It simply quits the complete conference.
Again, maybe there's a special dialer which supports it or some kex combination to press.
I really need this feature!
Solved!
So here's the way it works on wm devices:
Get the first call and put it on hold.
Make the second call and press the number 4 followed by the green phone button.
The second call is now transferred to the first and you are finished.
Great thanks to my phone provider ONE who came up with it!
Nice find! Does not work on my Q-Mobile 1.2 Tilt with AT&T.
I get "cannot conference calls"
I contacted AT&T and they said there is no way to do it.
I did read that if your call comes in using a Google Grand Central number you can transfer it using Grand Central specific codes.

Yes, it's a "feature" that your Phone Provider must support in order to use it.
I get "cannot conference calls".
I know for a fact that the same sim when used in my old v v old ericsson r380 world phone allows me to conference multiple people.
but my kaiser (running stock) says the above message.
how can i conference calls? the phone looses part of its utility value if I am unable to use this feature. someone got any tips/ tricks for me?
p.s. i initiate both the calls...
conference call is not the same as call transfer!
You can start a conference as described by firstbuddha a few posts ago in this thread (you just shouldn't hang up if you want to stay in the conference). There's also a menu item for conference call.
If you use my method with pressing 4 and the green phone button you are trying to transfer a call which is only possible when your phone provider allows it.

[Request] Undetecatable Call Blocking

I have been looking for this since I first started using Windows Mobile.
Unfortunately, most of the softwares out there (because they are not built into the ROM) can not reject calls without the other side knowing. I have tried every software out there, all of them are the same, the caller will hear a ring, or part of a ring, then they will get a busy signal (rejected).
I can't believe this is hard to create, I use to have it 12 years ago in my BASIC alcatel phone. When a black listed caller dials, they get nothing .. or get an out of coverage message from the operator. I believe the way it worked, is that the phone detects the caller number, BEFORE responding that it has acknowledged the call and is ringing.
I guess that is why I am saying that it is built in to the ROM as a driver or something, and not just a software.
Any Ideas, thoughts, where I can find this, anyone WILLING to make it ?
I know there are some recent roms being created that has the call blocking feature built in. i'm using one those roms, which is indicated in my signature. when u mentioned that you've tried them (call blocking applications) all, were they free and/or commercial apps, or apps created in the development/hacking section? Collectively speaking, there's alot of those types of applications floating out there, but maybe you've already tried those.

1st off, change your number
if that doesn't suite your needs make a fake dial tone which states your number is not in service as your voicemail while using call firewall. after a few weeks the person will give up calling you. Callers will receive one full ring and it will go to your new fake voicemail after blocking them, which they will perceive as your phone being turned off or changed your number.
common sense now pay me.
hahahah nice one .. except the keyword here is UNDETECTABLE ... if they know i changed my number or i am blocking them, they will find me and ask for the NEW number ....
As I said before, the only device I saw that feature on, was the really old alcatel models; which didn't give you a ring, didn't give you a busy tone, probably just ignored the request coming in from the telco when it is one of the black listed numbers.
Nice try, but I would pay you, if you could do the same on windows mobile. By the way I was testing an alpha versio of the cruise before it was launched, and it actually (accidently) opened the speaker, before you actually picked up the phone call, so the other side could hear you, before you even answer.
Thus, I am sure these things are possible, if there is someone who has the knowledge, and power to play with the operator
I haven't tried anything comercial, didn't find what i was looking for. If you know of any comercial software or freeware that does what i am stating. i.e. doesn't ring before it blocks the call. That would be great
I have something called MAGICALL, and it works great. You can set it to pick up then hang up, however the best part is that the call doesnt "come through" or let the phone ring. Unless you specify the software to give you a pop up message indicating it blocked a call. I love it since it doesnt even let the phone ring, its like if you never got called.
Same thing, I already tried MagiCall and it rings once to the caller, and then disconnects. Very obvious that you are avoiding the person.
I currently use a free voicemail feature called YouMail, which has call filtering and call blocking features. You can block calls (I believe) and also create a unique voicemail greetings for those you want/trying to avoid as well. www.youmail.com
I also use magicall for this. As an action I choose 'ignore' and then the caller just hears the phoen ringing, the connection is not broken. And you, well you hear and see nothing so you are not disturbed. Is that not what you want/?
Not exactly, ignore is a nice feature if you dont' want to be disturbed, but if someone is constantly bugging you; you would like them not to even reach your phone (so they don't come next day in the office, and say I left you three missed calls, and you didn't answer me).
It would be easier if they just got a this phone is out of coverage (or something similar) from the operator; then you can always blame the operator, that they couldn't reach you ... you get my drift ?
Yeah, I get your drift. But, if you're not reachable, then I guess it's the provider that sends back a message to the caller. I don't think your phone can send that message to the caller.
Moreover in most cases if you're not reachable then the caller also gets sent to your voicemail and he can also leave a message and come to you next day asking why you didn't react to his voice messages.
So the only option would be to send a message back saying that the number doesn't exist. But again, you would have to be able to spoof a provider based message for that.
I see these options when a caller really wants to get hold of you and you don't want to react:
* drop the call after 1 ring: caller notices he gets dropped, gets pissed an comes to see you
* send message back saying you're out of coverage: caller leaves message, which you ignore, caller gets pissed and comes to see you
* send a message back saying that the number doesn't exist: caller inquires whether you changed number, finds out you didn't, gets pissed and comes to see you
* silently ignore him: caller leaves a message, which you ignore, caller gets pissed and comes to see you.
Seems you're screwed either way
Why not simply answer the call and tell the caller to f*ck off. He's bound to get pissed also but at least he'll leave you alone and you'll feel relieved.
Well for one, I don't use voice mail ... secondly, because it is the provider that sends the message, it is authentic....
So if your mobile ... somehow ... ignores the call coming from the provider ... the provider sends a message saying that the mobile is out of coverage ...

Hmm, you're asking for someone to develop a piece of software because you have no spine? I know of no Java/.Net/etc API that is better than the truth. Tell the person to leave you be. The currently available call firewalls work great for when you need to be in a "Call Free Environment."
It has nothing to do with my spine; and I currently have NO ONE harasing me; but I believe that the current Call firewalls have a disadvantage, and lack a feature.
I wish there was someone in XDA-Developers who is willing to spend some time to make some adjustments to one of the ROMs to have this built in. Especially as this feature is available in historic phones that have a lot less features than a WM.
Im also using Magicall for this & its working great, the other party doen't even hear a ring. It has many other features too.

Call Barring??? Anyone???

Hello,
can anyone shine some light??? I have the at&t TILT phone I want to block
ALL INCOMING CALLS, (call barring) to do so I would need a passcode that AT&T SAID THEY DONT HAVE!!!! Does anyone know the default code? has anyone used it before?
thanks
i am not pretty sure, but should be something like "1234" or "0000". except cases dat somebody [like i did] changed it! but i'm sure the operators can reset it to the default value, so make 1 more call
i also saw this option in some softwares, unfortunately i can't name 1 of'em rite now!
This isn't perfect, but it works okay:
http://www.logic-unlimited.com/callfirewall.php
If you can find any info on this let me know as I've been searching for this password for a long time with no results. AT&T says they don't have the barring password and to call HTC. HTC says its network dependent and the phone gets the feature list from the switch.
Good luck!
the pin is network dependent.
as long as you haven't changed it, for AT&T it is "1111".
Let us know how you get on.
The evil side of me says to just set forwarding to the AT&T customer service line...
Doesn't the second half of this
http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-..._dyncharset=UTF-8&solutionId=62179&isSrch=Yes
suggest you can enable call barring for incoming calls and leave outgoing normal? I didn't enable it, but I went through step 6 and got settings from the network. It gave incoming block options of All Calls, When Roaming, and Off.
1111 doesn't work on my Tilt on AT&T.

[Q] How Is This Possible

How is this possible ?? My phone is haunted.
A few hours ago I got a phone call and the woman said she was returning my call. I didn't call anyone and so I said, "You must have dialed the wrong number from your caller ID." She repeated the number on her caller ID and even the name. She was correct but I didn't call anyone. I thought maybe I pocket dialed a number. She hung up, I hung up and then ...
About 50 calls follow. Each person different, from all over the country. My number and name on their caller ID. The message was something like "how to escape credit card debt." I am thinking that some how someones auto dialer is similar to mine but --- How does it use may name ?? Not just my number on the caller ID but also my name .. AND .. My callerID name is "Whatever."
Any ideas ?? Tmobile couldn't give me an answer. I had to change my number. GREAT .. Now all my contacts need to be notified. Need new business cards, can't leave a forwarding number because the calls will start again ..
Diane
Do You Have a PS3 ?
I have the Samsung Tab but this was actually happening with my iphone. Did I mention that when the people answered the recording was telling them "do you want to eliminate credit card debt."
Your iphone you say? Sounds like the apple walled garden has been breached.
Or just as likely tmo

I was going to be a little pushy with T-Mobile. Told them I wanted an answer as to how this happened. Tech tried to tell me it was something that I downloaded. I told them #1 It's an iphone. Everything has to be approved by Apple and #2 I didn't download ANYTHING .. I use it as a phone only. I think her head was going to explode because she just kept repeating like a robot, I must have downloaded something and I should do a hard reset on my phone.
as I see it, the most logical answer would be that some company...those telemarketers or whoever, somehow managed to get a hold of your information AND is spoofing their caller ID with yours. The question is, how did they get your information? also, I think the only way to figure out who would possibly be doing that would have been to somehow get the authorities involved because they have the power to view detailed call information including the origin of a call....

I changed my phone number because every few seconds I was getting a call from someone saying "you just called me. you let the phone ring twice and hung up. why." I figured that might go on forever so I changed the number. What authorities ??
Like your local police/FBI. It sounds crazy, but that could be violating your rights... And whoever is doing it is subject to legal action and stuff

Did u look in the call log for tmous to see if those calls were logging?
It sounds like a scam of some sort, i get emails with my personal address as the sender. Damn hard to block yourself from your own emails, they originate from Russia.

You my friend are a victim of identity theft. I suggest you get an affidavit before you end up arrested for wrong doing by whoever is using your identity.
So far what I have found out is that the phone was sending text messages. They went to mobile and land-line phones. I have the phone number now of who was making these calls, now I actually have something to report. I am in Orlando and the spammer is also in Orlando. I tried a reverse look up but haven't found one that will give me the name of the spammer. I just know that the number belongs to a mobile phone.
Time to file a report then!
