I have been on XDA looking for answers from time to time. Lately I have been acquiring many new android devices and need helpful information. I have head units in my cars, tablets, phones, TV box.
I am a software developer by trade and retired 2 years ago. I have worked with linux since the beginning (version 0.99).
I have registered with XDA today to get some answers about my latest android head unit.

Hey all, I'm Nirave. I've been a member of the forums since the late 2000s during my Windows Mobile days. I still remember how many times XDA helped me fix my Xperia X1 and the early days of my foray into Android.
Since 2009, I've been writing about technology. I used to run a UK site, and prior to joining the leadership team at XDA almost a year ago, I worked for Mobile Nations, Future, and Android Authority. I help direct all the content that's published across our family of websites, as well as the boring wider company stuff!
I've used pretty much every flagship launched over the last 8 years and always carry at least two phones. One is an iPhone, one is an Android phone. Oh, and I love foldables – my arsenal includes the Z Fold 2, Mate Xs, and ThinkPad X1 Fold!
Glad to meet you Nirave! I also had some Window Mobile device's which were a blast from the past!

Other things to know about Nirave: he doesn't sleep, he is a great cook (if you like a killer curry), and he likes to buy more phones than he actually needs or will ever use (ahem, I think he learned that from me...).
I know many other secrets about Nirave that I'll undoubtedly reveal over time. xD
i once was knew good cook ..
it was fun .. xD
Android enthusiast. Been around since the internet came into existence. Used to play DOS PC games and spent my childhood on the Nintendo systems until I built my first PC.
Recently put a JY-UQ138N4G-H Joying Android 10 stereo head unit in my vehicle and I'm having issues with it. Worked great for 30 days, but now locks up and freezes so I'll be hitting the search and forums trying to find solutions. I think it's a cooling problem. I put two 50mm heatsinks on it but still having issues.
I usually find XDA info posted across Reddit so I figured better to join late than never and explore what all XDA has to offer.

Hello Alberto, glad you finally registered. Welcome!
Newbie here. Totally clueless. My primary reason for getting an account is to learn more about car Android head units. My factory OEM head unit has failed, and rather than spend a lot of money replacing an outdated and quirky unit, I decided to purchase a more up to date and probably still quirky Android unit.
I'll probably be asking a lot more questions and seeking enlightenment than providing any help -- at least for now. Once I get up to speed, I hope I can contribute to the great community.
I'm currently using an iPhone, a MacBook Pro, a Win 10 laptop, a Plex server. I'm eager to dabble with Android tablets, phones.

Welcome to XDA
I have been a member of the XDA forum in the dim distant past, but have not been on for many years.
I have now been retired for over 10 years and last year moved from Bristol to Swansea and enjoying the local beauty spots, and at the tender age of 75 I spend my time fixing up an old boat and enjoying walks with our rescue dog.
My interest now in this forum is to try and solve a problem with an Android Headset in my car, and I am hoping someone might have some ideas on sorting it out.
Thanks for your interest,
John
