Hi, I,m using Mokee rom for quite sometime now. From what I experience, this rom is by far the best rom in terms of HD gaming (lag free). But there just one problem that keeps bugging me. During using wifi, when the screen turn off, you can never turn on the screen back again. It seems that the phone power has been switch off & the only way to switch it back again by removing the battery. Has anyone experience this?
yes! this rom does have that problem. I call it "wifi death lock"
solution: dont leave your phone by itself. use any app that will keep the screen awake like miui music app...

Thanks mate, I'll try that...but does it drain battery?
there will be very little extra drain.... give it a try...
At last...I have found the solution to "wifi death lock" problem. Its an apk called "Advance Wifi Lock". You can search that app at ipmart forum because Play Store version are not full version. Just install that app & set the "Auto Disable Grace Period" option to 0 second. Don't forget to add the widget to desktop for your convenience to turn it on when using wifi. @ Zuk/Whyzee, can u add this app to the first post of the Mokee thread as I'm cannot make comment/reply because I'm a new member. Hope this can help...
try PMing zuk. I'll include it in my thread...
UPDATE:
i was using wifi today and didn't face the wifi lock problem. though the screen locked itself wifi wasnt disconnected and i was able to unlock without any kind of problems. Weird, is it?

The problem still happening to me. I guess I still have to rely on "Advance Wifi Lock". By the way, are you sure that you're not using "Advance Wifi Lock" during that time?
yes I'm sure.
btw, flash my patch and I see. maybe that did the trick?!

I was downloading "Run Run Bear" yesterday through wifi and the phone went to sleep when it was still downloading. But I was able to unlock it and even play the game without any problems.....
UPDATE:
yes you are right the SOD is still there. But it only happens when the wifi is on and inactive. If you are downloading something through wifi there's no SOD
SOD fixed!!!!

Hi there,
So I've been running a few rom with different kernels on my N6 in the last month and I noticed that the "double-tap to wake" feature was not always working as expected. Seems like the double tap is not always detected right away and I have to do it several times in order to wake the device.
Some times it will work at first try and some others it won't work at all.
Is there any definitive fix for this behaviour ?

Known problem with tap to wake. I use swipe to wake and it works fine.
Thanks for the hint, I'm afraid swep to wake will wake the device in my pocket more easily
But I'll give a shot anyway !

You could try a recompiled power.shamu.so.

If read the full thread it is still hit and miss and that file may not even be the same .so file for 5.1.1. That zip was made in December for 5.0.2.

I had the same problem and downloaded the attachted zip file shamu_doubletap2wake-s.zip.
After flashing this zip, dt2w works with stock 5.1.1. on my N6 (LMY47Z)
Edit:
and franco's kernel r30

This is the cause of the issue and I suspect why google didn't release it. Kernel implementation is much better but actually sweep to wake is much safer in the pocket than double tap.

OK. So I was lucky. Because for me it was a solution for a N6 with stock rom.

it was more or less reliable for me, too reliable actually. when it got warm around here, i started carrying the phone in my back pocket instead of jacket pocket, and it kept waking in my back pocket. so i disabled double tap to wake, permanently.

Yeah between that and ambient display, pocket wake is a huge problem. But for double tapping when you want to wake it up is not as reliable. 50% for some..or 3rd tap not 2nd.

id say it was about 90-95% reliable here. it might even be a more location where you tap issue (maybe?)

I've seen several posts about dt2w, and there are issues and solutions, and indeed not always successful.
My dt2w actions were as follows.
I started using an app untill I flashed a custom-kernel. Franco's kernel.
In the kernel settings there is an option to enable dt2w. But enabling had no effect.
Therefore I decided to flash the mentioned power.shamu.so.
Now it works for more than a week.
When there are issues I will post it here.
Works on stock with LeanKernel. Has option for stock dt2w, haptic dt2w, sw2w or both haptic dt2w and sw2w at same time.

This is understandable because the screen is touched when you put the N6 in the back pocket. But you have an option to switch it off.
It is different with the magnet sensor.
I was using a belt case (vertical) with a magnetic closure. Every move activates the sensor. Screen is turned on/off frequently.
Solution: another belt case,
EDIT
. . . I hope that in an new Android it will be possible to switch this sensor permanently off.
Because my magnetic car mount is not usable.

All setting are set the same on both phones one shows notification on Aod the other does not.
Do you have a lock on your phone? You will not get notification if you do not have your phone locked in some way (fingerprint, PIN, patter, etc.). It's wierd, but it worked on my friend's phone. Turned on a pattern lock and he got notifications on his AOD.

When you move the phone slightly the underdisplay fingerprint glows, can anybody tell me how to turn it off? I want it to goow only when I press on the phone, is this possible?
Doesn't seem so, as it's the only way to know where to put your finger.
It seems to be implemented at the "hardware level".
I'd you mean the fingerprint icon that shows up when you pick the phone up, you can't disable it currently.

OP, which firmware are you running? I'm on EU rom and there used to be a bug, which resulted in being a workaround to disable the fingerprint icon.
However now there is a dedicated setting, see attached, which allows turning off the icon

Damn, i might flash this rom just for this feature, it's super annoying at night, and it keep activating the screen in my pocket.
Can you flash it over the global rom, or does it require a wipe? (probably..)

Hmm given the rom is different, I'd say you may run into issues. But with that said, worth a shot! If dirty flashing, perhaps wipe system and the caches, then flash rom and magisk (if rooting), and keep those fingers crossed!
Any issues then yeah do a clean install

Does seem somewhat like this because if that and the ambient display is disabled, the fingerprint doesn't respond from screen off. But if that and/or ambient display is enabled, it works. But at least something has to be turned on keeping at least some part of the screen awake.
I chose to enable ambient but disable fingerprint icon because ambient goes around the whole screen giving me peace of mind from burn in unlike the icon

Would you recommend me installing the EU room?

You're welcome!
So, I've tried all Pie ROMs. PixelExperience to Syberia and Havoc OS. None of them enter deep sleep. I've tried everything posted wherever I can find on the internet:
1. Change ROM
2. Change CPU governor.
3. Change Kernel.
4. Make changes to those values which govern the time it takes for the phone to enter deep sleep.
Nothing worked!
Any suggestions? I shifted to MIUI 10, which DOES enter deep sleep. But I don't want MIUI, not right now, at least...
Okay, got it. T'was a problem with the opengapps. I used to flash mini. I flashed nano and everything's good now...
Nope. Not working.
Come on, you guys...52 views and not one person answered?
Looks like you've tried almost all possible things. is all sensor detection is turned off? such as pocket detection hand wave? maybe try turning of those. also the ambient display too.
if it still doesn't works then i think we might have this issue on all pie roms such as we had screencast issue on all pie roms.

Maybe there is no solution... xD
I've experienced the same issue for a long time on the LOS 15.1 build where System usage is high despite long Phone Idle time and low usage.
The battery report actually does not make sense, but my battery life is certainly not what it should be compared to what some other users are getting.
It would be great if an expert can provide a solution on the deep sleep problem to extend battery life with these custom ROM's or a way to identify the culprit that keeps my phone awake.

Maybe you can use these apps to track what application(s) make your phone awakes: BetterBatteryStats, Wakelock Detector or Simple System Monitor.
I ever used TWRP 3.2.1 + Pixel Experience 8.1 (Oreo), and my phone never entered deep sleep state. I moved to MIUI 9.2.4 and the state was back to normal.
Now I use OrangeFox 9 recovery + Pixel Experience 9 (Pie) and the phone can sleep like a baby. It's been 2 weeks and still acts normally. Love it!

I am using Havoc and had the same problems until I decativated everything that reads motion or proximity sensors. Now I can go 4 days without charge.
The most options are in the havoc menue in "Inactivity screen -> Ambient Options" (I am not completly sure about the english labels, as I am using an other language.) "Pocket mode" is the last one in the list, but I have deactivated everything there.

Pocket Mode for LOS15.1 it is under Settings -> Display -> Advanced -> Ambient Display or Settings -> Battery -> Ambient Display
I have turned all of this unnecessary trash off.
My phone still drains about 8-10% during night while in airplane mode which I do not think is normal.
I have even gone as far as disabling "Keep Awake" for installed apps under Privacy Guard.
