Question I messed up by buying base S23 with UFS 3.1 - Samsung Galaxy S23

I did not know that base S23 with 128GB is equipped with UFS 3.1, whereas 256GB onwards are using UFS 4.0.
To trade up with 256GB onwards, I would need to pay about $200 more, where originally I could've paid $50 more for 256GB.
I'm planning to keep this device for 2-3 years, and is afraid the battery life associated with the power consumption of UFS 3.1 is not ideal to keep for long term.
Is it worth for me to pay the extra $200 just to upgrade to UFS 4.0?

No its negligible

Realistic price for 128gb or 256gb USB flash drive?

I'm wondering what you guys/gals would consider a legit/realistic price for USB flash drives of 256gb or 128gb capacity. From what I understand, a HUGE portion of the flash drives currently being sold on ebay are fake (it's apparently a huge, and growing problem for them).
So, you run into a conundrum between a price that is too good to be true, and, one that is simply a great deal (for legitimate product). Wondering if any of you have any experience with this.
Looking to buy something in the 128 or 256gb range, to connect to my Note 2 via USB OTG. Anyone?
newegg had one a 128gig on sales for 59.99 with free shipping.

Samsung Evo+ 128gb or SanDisk Ultra 12gb ?

I was looking at these two memory cards online. The evo+ 128gb is around £40 and the ultra 128gb around £33. Out of the two which should I go for putting inside my s7 edge. Which one has better performance and reliability.
both are good, go with scandisk for cheaper price.
check this article
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Thes...our-Galaxy-S7-S7-edge-LG-G5-or-HTC-10_id80277
and you have this post about microsd.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/accessories/suggestions-microsd-t3321569
I recommend to take SanDisk Extreme Plus UHS-I U3
Don't get the Sandisk Extreme Plus 128gb. It's $200-$300 and has almost zero availability.
If you want to save money and get a fast 128GB microsd card, go with the Samsung EVO+ (i use this in my S7e).
If you want to spend $100, get the Samsung Pro+ 128gb card.
Both Samsung and Sandisk are reliable.
As far as performance of the two cards you listed....
Samsung EVO+ -- READ 82, WRITE 26
Sandisk Ultra -- READ 92, WRITE 19
Get the EVO+. Write speeds are more important than the read speeds, especially if they are higher than 70mb/sec (both are).
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't for a phone the random write speed the more important figure vs. the sequential write speed you listed?
Personally id go with the samsung evo.
Only if you elect to use the Adoptable Storage option in Android 6.0. If not, sequential write speed would be the key field.
Whichever is cheapest at the time of purchase. You'll notice no difference once it's in the phone.
I ended up going with the 128 GB Pro + - can be had for $90. Much higher write speeds than the Evo +. The new 256 GB Evo + might match or even outclass the 128 GB Pro +, but at $250... I'll pass.

Guess the Price of One Plus 5 (before the launch).

Hi XDA Users,
One Plus 5 will be launched on June 20th, some are curious about the OPO 5 Specs, but most of them are curious about its price. So your task is simple. Though there are several leaks online nothing is confirmed yet.
Guess the price of One Plus 5 (6 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage only).
Give the price in the $USD/ EUR/ GBP/ INR etc.
Post it in the comment below. Let's see who gets close to the OPO5 price.
Good luck.
My guess is £400 which is about $506
64GB $499
128Gb $549
£499 but think it'll be more, still buying it though.
64GB with 6GB RAM $510
128GB with 8GB RAM $580
Yes I opt for 479-499€ for the 6GB Ram and about 539-569 for 8 GB Ram.
64gb 539€
128gb 579€
$499
360 EUR

Galaxy Note8 Storage Options - 256GB

Do we know when the 128GB or if Samsung would grace the rest of the world; the 256GB option? Im surprised that no outlet has records for the 128GB or is it coming after launch since I only see 64GB versions available for preorder 'globally'.
I've been trying to find a 128gb version as well.... But no luck.
So right now im holding out ordering and waiting to see if the 128gb is releasing soon some where in the world.
North America never gets anything but the lower option - 64gb. Which is enough for now especially adding in the 256gb micro SD. That being said, I personally would love to have 128gb option and would pay $100 more for the extra storage. Just like I would also pay $100 for a BL unlocked (Dev version) of the Note 8. Don't think they have offered a Dev version of the Note since the Note 4, of which I bought the Dev version of that phone.
The versions with more storage, more ram, etc are usually very rare and only release in the asian markets. Not sure why they do that as there would be buyers elsewhere in the world. Head scratching.
Yeah Im in the USA however I couldnt care less where the device is coming from.. I preordered a 64x from clove.. but like you wanted the 128 at least (which is in my s6e...) so im taken aback how the internal storage options are still paltry. Yes the card.. but its not UFS2.1 speed so i dunno what gives.
sidenote, the note 8 has a ufs card reader which is up to 3x faster than usdxc.. slight mitigation.. if you can find cards.
I doubt a 128 much less a 256 version will appear—it's a classic Samsung tune, with every model since Note 2 they've been promising a “Luxury” of whatever version of the same model, always with double the storage.
I've waited for a couple of those before—they've never materialized…

I am sure if they exist they would be very expensive
not a peep about then since last summer either, so it's surprising to find that they've included the reader.. some expectation then of release. but.. bixby, so who really knows.

Just buy exynos if you want an unlocked bootloader .
sent from my Note FE, S8 plus, or S6
Only in korea.
Better buy SD Card a fast one that has fast reading speed sandiak 200 gb or samsung evo 128 gb.
With 200 gb sd card (180 gb actual space) + 64 gb storage (52 gb actual space) =
232 GB Of total storage.
Which is just as much as 256 gb samsung phone.
Cause 256 gb samsung phones have 235 storage due to software.

I heard bad things about lexar despite its read and write speed being really high. I heard it gets corrupted easily for some customers no thing solid thought...
But who knows..
I still have the evo 256gb that I got free with the note 7. Works like a champ. I also tried to find this ufs card but no luck.

Apparently a 128gb version is expected to be launched in India. But i haven't been able to confirm that....
Tho a lot of sites selling phones with india as target audience is listing the 128gb version
In mexico the major carrier telcel only offers the 128 gb option

Is UFS 2.1 (64 GB version) worth it, over UFS 3 (128GB version) for non-gamer?.

I have ordered 8GB / 128GB (mainly because 6GB / 64GB is not yet available, but it will be soon available as per the news) & it will be delivered tomorrow. My current devices are ZUK Z2 Plus (32GB eMMC) & POCO F1 (64GB UFS 2.1). I am quite content with the performance & data transfer speeds, provided by UFS 2.1 in POCO F1 and never used more than 20-25 GB of storage.
So, is it worth to go with X2 Pro 8GB / 128GB over 6GB / 64 GB(after it is available), considering only storage type (UFS 3 vs UFS 2.1) is the difference?. Any one can shed some light on the real world differences between those two UFS versions?. I know that UFS 3 is almost double the speed (writes / reads) theoretically.

I think for the price difference of like €50 it's certainly worth it.The UFS 3.0 has many benefits which basically make your phone faster and contribute to battery life even,
Opening apps etc is quicker, you download a file for example will be written rapidly to your storage so you can access it much quicker,
Now you may not see a problem with your current 2.1 UFS and it mightn't even noticeable in a lot of situations but I would go with it all day long and your getting 8gb ram instead of 6
