Does anyone know if it's possible to hide those 2 little arrows underneath the 4G/5G indicator? It's currently quite hard to see (at least for me) what network type I'm on.
Coming from a Pixel phone I'm actually a bit shocked to see how much smaller UI elements are on Samsung phones. The default weather widget also has tiny font size and there's no simple way to make it bigger. Font and window zoom sliders in Android settings don't seem to affect the notification bar and widget text.
Here's a comparison between the S23 and my old Pixel 4a. The S23 has a slightly bigger screen even though the picture suggests otherwise due to the close-up perspective. Indicators on the top right are a lot bigger on the 4a. The H on the S23 normally just says 4G or 5G. For some reason the network defaulted to H (3G) when I took that picture. I'd really like those 2 little arrows underneath the H to disappear and make H/4G/5G take up the full height of the status bar.

Hi guys, is there any way to change the clock colour on the status bar?
I am using StatusBar+ to completely customize my status bar. It had some issues when I first started using it, but the dev has released multiple updates over the past week and it is working great for me now. It has a way to hide all but the clock until you tap the bar, so it has the ability to save our precious OLED pixels from burn-in as well.
Great app and get's two thumbs up from me.
but its only an overlay....
True, but that is why it works on a completely stock note.
Plus if you root you can suppress the system status bar, thus making it a replacement as opposed to an overlay.
I would like to change the graphics of my status bar icons. For one I would like to get rid of the retarded Samsung blue icons for battery and WiFi that will be burning in to my NEW EXPENSIVE screen (Sammy should know better!)
I would also like to make OLED safe icons for the home etc icons.
Is it a matter of changing some .PNG files in a certain directory or is it more involved like recompiling and flashing a new ROM (that is beyond my abilities).
Id love to see some changes on the icon or at least the colors they come in, the signal bars and clock on the 'status bar is really an OLED killer.
Hello. I have just started to try out some custom ROMs and I did fond 2 I actually like. They are both CM 7.2 but there is one thing that bothers me the most that is probably not a big deal to most.
Whenever I tap on the notification bar, I see a transparent shadow following it down. It keeps on following when dragging down and stops about when in the middle of the dockbar icons of the ADW launcher. That shadow gets random sizes and it's hard to not notice while screen is white.
It might not be very visible on the picture but it was the best sample I could get.
Is there a way to hide it or to just make it less visible?
Okay so as you can see I have a dock and then my homescreen columns are 12x12
How do I lower the gap between the vertical icons? My margin height is set to none, I've tried setting it to small and still the same
Any idea? Screen shot attached
I've also tried making the icons bigger and trying without a dock and there's still a large gap between icons
I use a 7 column x 10 rows, and the gap between rows is somewhat like yours, I think there is no way to modify it, I tried with the normalize icon switch, but made no diference, I tried changing dpi in developer section, same thing
Hi there, I've tried to change the phone's DPI, but there's something weird...navbar, statusbar and shortcuts panel do not change with the rest of the interface! Looks like these elements cannot be modified, even with adb commands.
Has someone tried to do this thing too? Not a big issue, but the shortcuts' panel is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for me.
No one?
I'm interested to know too. The notification bar is ridiculously tiny and there seems no way to resize it so it's easily readable.
I'm now using widgets just so i can see the time and battery power. Using a launcher that shows notifications on the apps on my home screen too.
Never had a problem like this with my pixel 2. Notification bar was legible out of the box
