Planning to buy a used MI11 with replaced motherboard.
When it was replaced, the battery pack was mandatory to be replaced too?

Yup, just like the title says.
And before anyone yells at me, YES i did the search button but nothing...
I checked ebay, and for some reason no one has a motherboard... and I don't want to risk it with buying one with a cracked screen that might have a messed motherboard.
HTC wants to charge me $352.26 for a new motherboard AND lcd... when only the motherboard wasn't working (last i checked, the lcd was working... unless THEY did something at the repair)
I've seen this before in another thread. I believe the consensus was that there was no place to buy them except risking eBay.
Damn...
So how much do you think HTC would charge to repair the motherboard separately from the LCD ?
Anyone here know where I can buy a replacement mainboard and get a guide on how to install it/uninstall the old one?
Maybe this helps http://www.mikechannon.net/No%20Frames%20Home.html
Hi,
I wrecked my o2x using a faulty charger that probably caused a short circuit. I would like to repair the phone but have no idea what part is damaged. I image the micro board has to be replaced but i am not sure. Any of you have an idea if that is correct.
Yes, the board must be replaced in that case. If that was really a short curcuit, your whole (internal) memory could be damaged. Even if everything else would be ok, there would be no chance for you to boot or to repair the device without changing the whole motherboard. If I were you, I'd buy a used O2x or buy a new, different device. If you buy an used O2x, i wouldn't recommend swapping the motherboards for using your old O2x again because other stuff could also be broken.
hello I'd like to buy a motherboard for my TF701 but I can not find it, you have good addresses?
Just sharing my experiences here. If anyone here who's interested on used z3+ / z4 . By used I meant refurbished. I suggest to put to rest those thoughts, forever. I bought one that seems to come from Japan from wholesale online. Sometimes it's Docomo or AU branded(you'll get what what I'm trying to say later). Mine came with 1 week warranty. I return mine's within 1 day as I had a problem with the rear camera. I got the replacement unit. Then I return it again as I found out that the display came off from the bottom within 2 day. I return the phone again. Then I got a unit with a faulty flickering lcd. Then I got a unit which seems usable at first then only after my replacement period had finished I found out that it got faulty battery which in my case it turn off and show low battery warning even when it still had 70% charge left. I replaced the battery which cost me $12 myself. Then the problem still shows up. I thought that maybe it's the problem with the firmware. But, the problem don't go away even after I hard reset and through sony companion. I return it only to found out that the motherboard itself is faulty. As the replacement motherboard is expensive. It has become a living brick somewhere on my shelf . I knew I should't have bothered with Xperia but I can't help it.
