hello, i'm supernova, i joined because in my opinion this is the best forum to find custom recoveries and roms, and i'm interested in them.
phones custom rommed:
samsung galaxy a5 2014 (running LineageOS on android 7.1.1)
motorola moto g7 power (running crDroid on android 13)
im kinda new to tech so if i ask a lot of questions you know why
main phone: samsung galaxy a53 5g
anyways, have a great day if you're reading this!
Hi supernova, feel free to ask any support in the relative device section

after 1 year hanging out with teamhacksung irc I have learned alot about samsung the developers of cyanogenmod and teamhacksung has done a great job to do everything they can to bring AOSP Experience
I gotten my phone ( Samsung Galaxy S2 International Version I9100) and back then I dont even know how android works I went for the phone cause of how people booster it was the best phone and beating iPhone 4 which I previously own after months of research and chit-chatting with codeworkx I have learned alot and understand today why he dump samsung exynos support
those who know this will understand that there are bugs in Cyanogenmod 7 for samsung devices which can never be fixed and people blame the community for that and not doing their job
the only reason why it is like this it cause of undocumented stuff and closed drivers sources which are not even out and we until today have never really felt the power of project butter/ics true experiences on our devices
I have waited long enough and suffered so much from samsung Im sorry samsung you guys have lost my respect.
those who are complaining about why this phone does not support LTE get a Optimus G , I don't really know about AOSP Support on Optimus G since LG Controls it how they update or release the source or drivers are closed source atleast it is not Exynos and Mali :good:
so what is nexus about then ?
nexus is more for people who are interested in android development and more on android since it is control by google software and LG Hardware it is a two way thing
and google is still supporting Galaxy Nexus and it is good phone
anyway yes Im getting a Nexus 4 and those who has Galaxy Nexus think carefully about switching as google is not like samsung who release tons of devices and forgets about old one
cheers
p.s mod I dont really know where to post this but if you could move it and dont close this thread as I feel that it is a understanding on educating some people on how android and google works.
thanks

Hey guys,
Last month i bought a new Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
This tablet is great, but have no vanilla rom at all. I love OmniROM (been using it on another devices of my) and i'll be happy if you will develop a version for the Note 10.1 2014.
Thanks for your great work!

if it's exynos then forget it otherwise there may be a glimmer of hope.
As always, device support is heavily dependent on a maintainer expressing interest and picking up the device.
Note that after years of Samsung treating the aftermarket firmware development community like crap, quite a few former Samsung device maintainers have moved to greener pastures and have no interest whatsoever in returning to the pain and suffering that is working with a Samsung device.

I would settle for a custom recovery...
This is a typical scenerio with the Camera 2 now out and the K Zoom. As soon as upgraded models and especially completely new models are released development usually comes to a screeching halt on the previous models. These are not wildly popular devices, so it's not too surprising that there was never much development to begin with. The same development fizzle happened with my Note 2 phone, and lack of popularity was a big problem with my Note 10.1 2014 edition tablet.

Do you think for the sake of this device you could pull someone to get a ROM made?
Didn't I read somewhere on XDA that Philz and Clockwork Mod are no longer producing custom recoveries? Or was that device specific? I thought I read that TWRP is the only name in the recovery game currently.
I tried finding a way to Contact Mokee Developers in Hopes to Speak to Someone about Building a custom Rom for our Galaxy Tab S. However was unable to find the Way to reach out to them, I am NOT a Developer, but am a ALL Around Samsung Enthusiast. So this is why Im posting this thread hoping there are others Like myself that Love the Mokee Custom Roms ( A HUGE Shout out to the ENTIRE Mokee TEAM), and that also Prefer how Google Edition Runs on our Tablets instead of Touch Wiz, I am Hoping this Post reaches the EYES or the right person that CAN make this Happen, Bless to ALL....
Yes would be great to see more devs working on the Tab S 10.5 & 8.4 as they are great hign end tablet devices.
I'm a software developer (mainly C++) and owner of various (older) Android smartphones. Especially Samsung S5 LTE (klte), S5 plus (kccat6) and S5 neo (S5neolte). I'm very interested in how to keep older smartphones up to date. So coming from lineageos.org I landed here as some older devices lost their official Lineage OS support. How can I contribute to keep (older) smartphones up to date?
