[Q] Quick CM7 help

Hey guys, I just started up with CM7, and so far, mostly good.
One thing that's bugging me though is using the nook button as the home. I use my NC in bed a lot and it makes a rather's loud click.
There must he a way to add a Dahomey button to the soft keys in the bottomleft without installing softkeys.
Also, the swipe up notifications keeps getting hit when I'm typing. While I like the functionality of it, I don't love what of does to my ability to type spaces.
Any help?
Edit - figured it all out. Why can't I find the deletepost button?

[Q] Keyboard pop up on keypress

Hi all
Really loving my HTC One. I like the keyboard and dont want to change it, but it has one annoyance.
The keys on the keyboard popup when pressed and I cant find the option to turn this off. Does anything one if this can be turned off?
Thanks,
Adam
Just use a 3rd party keyboard cause AFAIK there's no way you can remove that unless you mod the keyboard apk. which requires root and a developer interested on what you want.

Anyone know of a way to disable hardware keys in portrait mode?

Whenever in portrait mode the thin bezel means you risk touching the back key. This is bloody annoying.
I'm wondering if it is possible to disable (or temporarily remap to null) the hardware keys. I know by tinkering with system files in a root browser they can be disabled on boot, but surely it is possible (with xposed?) to do this on the fly.
I'm thinking a tasker task to disable the keys on specific apps etc.
Can anyone give any advice?
I posted on the wanam thread in xposed to try and get him to add it, but no one replied. Surely it's not only me who would find this useful?
Just rotate 180 degrees, grab the camera side, then touch buttons are on the opposite side.
What if I have two hands?
@pingtiao
Use Xposed framework and Gravitybox to disable the softkeys and use pie controls.
Thanks @jball
I tried that but it didn't seem possible to do this for just one orientation or app. Is it possible? Can it be accessed via tasker?
Thanks firm your help guys. For anyone who wants to know: expanded desktop in GB gives option to disable hardware keys. Tasker can toggle the expanded desktop using send intent " ------ action: gravitybox.intent.action.TOGGLE_EXPANDED_DESKTOP"
SOLVED!

How to disable the physical home button?

Details of the device
I'm using the latest CM11 version from Novafusion.
Problem and steps I've taken
Currently I've got a problem where the home button intermittently activates on its own (but only long-presses, so if I disable long-press in the OS, it'll be fine for normal operation), without any interference. The side effect (which is my main issue) of this is that it means my phone's screen effectively turns on by itself 24/7, which is obviously bad for many, many reasons.
I'm asking whether there's anyway I can disable the home button? I've tried Android-HomeKey-Locker (can't link it, but the Google Play version of the thing on GitHub) but it hasn't done anything.
I'm aware I can turn on the software buttons, but they don't deactivate the physical buttons: and I only want to disable home anyway.
So my question is, is there any way of doing this? I can take the back and menu keys if needed.
Side note
Is it possible in anyway to bind long-press back to home? I asked this for CM12 a while back (and I've since downgraded), but is this possible with Cyanogen, as I've been able to do it with Carbon ROM on 4.4.4.
Hi! I currently use this app on CM 12.1 to enable softkeys and disable hardware keys:

sorry for my bad english

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the help. Someone on reddit gave me a working solution by using Xposed Additions to remap the buttons how I wanted them to.

Is it possible to get the old dialer back>

At first, I was confused. I didn't know what I was missing. But I knew something was wrong.
Then I looked at a non-pie samsung s8. And I knew it. The dialer is so much better, because it has your recents on the same screen, while the number pad is an overlay. It's so much more efficient because you will only ever need one screen, ever. (T9 dial, or click a recent). Also you can scroll the recents and "hide" the dialer wihout actually switching screens.
Now that I know, I'm supper annoyed.
Can I get the old dialer back, somehow? Because this is going to bug me for a long time.
Also, HOW can nobody else have a problem with this? I can't find anybody else questioning this? How?
I hate change
I like Oreo's dialer. No plans to downgrade to Pie
