Search for PC2003 german (XDA) - MDA, XDA, 1010 Accessories

Does anyone know, where I can get the german version for the O2 XDA I?
Thanks!

The WM2003 versions for the XDA I are pretty crap and buggy. You are looking forward for a series of bugs if you install it (it will occasionally erase your memory card, or turn on randomly, thus draining battery etc...), and it wont make the XDA much better.
If you still choose to use WM2003, you can cook your ROM here: http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/
You can find tutorials on how to install ROMs elswhere on htis site.
Cheers

WM 2005 versus WM 2003

hello everyone!
since two weeks, i am theproud owner of my first pocket pc, a HTC Blue Angel!
i am now running wm2003, but after reading all those posts about upgrading, i am starting to think about doing so myself! but why should i do this?
what are the big advatages of wm2005 compared to wm2003?
are there disadvantages as well? (regarding stability and bugs?)
i would be really glad if yome of the more experienced ba users here could write down their pros & cons for running WM5/WM3 on the BA!
btw: i read thru xplode's upgrading guide (Guide.pdf) and in the end ("side notes") it says, that i could totally screw my ba when i exceed free sectors of the rom while cooking.... what excactly does this mean? and how can i avoid exceeding free sectors?
I am really looking forward to read your opinions about the two os...
THX IN ADVANCE!
krztf
I would definately go for wm5
main reason is the different memory handling
(no more lose of data after battery runs down)
Just download one of the ready made roms versions.
(as I understand, you are not ready to cook your own rom)
and be sure to read the wiki first
(and this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=243732 )
happy flashing
Wout
I could tell you this, my biggest reason to flash my BA to Wm05 because it has a better UI. N my 2nd biggest reason is because a lot of new programs written for wm05
Anyway if you afraid to brick your BA, I suggest you read carefully the wiki n don't use kitchen Rom, just use another rom that already cook by someone else. You could use Rom made by baniaczek or xplode.
I hoped it helps.
Well how should i say... i dont believe anyone here is still using 2003. Would this be enough for you? Try it, if you dont like it, downgrade back to 2003.
WM5 on Blue Angel is nice. But xplode rom and baniaczek rom are not really stable at the moment.
Tried both rom both got different problems... so I recommend you to wait for final release WM5 rom for BA thats free of bug.(Would it happen?)
Else if you wanted to try, you can try upgrading it... its really nice
Main reason is 60mb free ram..
and no more memory lost after battery going down
aha
thanks for all those answers!!!
but to be honest, i am still not sure if i should upgrade or not....
all those postings (here an din other threads) regarding pda overall speed, bluetooth and wifi problems, etc. make me kinda nervous! and i think, i am still anxious about frying my blue angel,... noobish but what can i do!
regarding the advantage of more free ram and no memory loss after battery's empty: is this really true?! always thought, i would need certain hardware as well, to benefit from this features...?
hope this discussion keeps goin'...
regards,krz

I'm using 2003se (rollback wm5->2003), because found some strange problems with baniachek's wm5 bluetooth profiles. ...
all the gory details ....
hi dasboot!
could you please describe those "strange problems"?
btw: does anyone know, if connecting to wlan routers works better with wm2005? as u can read in my other thread HERE, i have serious issues to solve here...
keep on posting!
krz
im rollbacked too.WM5 is nice looking..but for BA useless.
i found that WM3 work much better on it-and more important-the battery time:
wm5=max 8 hours,with mp3 6h
wm3=up to 16h with mp3.normal use 24/36h (older BA )
i use wlan only sometimes on hotspots-and only for e-mails.not a important criteria for me.
but, damn it..i would try out WM6 on it.suddenly it is unable to convert it to BA.
WM5 is not a software, it is one huge BAG!
wm5 is really good and I won't come back to wm2003. I have the R2 by baniaczeck and it works to me like a charm! I advice you to upgrade to wm5

Would a change of rom extend battery

Hi guys.
Have read many mixed reviews about this but was hoping a couple of you here would be able to confrm it.
As we know the battery life on the diamond aint that great, but I have read many mixed thoughts that a rom upgrade would improve the battery life. Is this true?
If so any recommendations on nice rom from the rom section we have on here?
I am currently running the original orange uk rom.
Many thanks, look forward to you replies.
My guess is that the changes are marginal at best, so save yourself from the trouble and order this, http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=166204
Its not marginal. It got me about 1 extra day of usage before i'd have to charge. I changed from original rom to Dutty's cooked rom.
There is also other benefits to changing roms, most important benefit would be speed. The cooked roms usually run faster and more smoother than the original roms.
Thanx guys, I will take a look at duttys.
Will the official upgrade from the htc site be any good?

Nope. Hmmm cooked firmwares generally remove some things which are not used EVER. Also it will clean up the software being ran on the background. And a few tweeks will be made to WM to make it run faster. ie. page memory, etc.
I think its the radio update that makes the most difference. I seem to get better battery life since 'upgrading' to 1.00.25.05 (upgrading is in quotes since my original version was actually higher than that). But then again i also upgraded to a cooked rom (AZTOR X2) so i got a double hit... Certainly very pleased with the extra speed and battery life!
the radio update is totally true. Ive read certain posts where people are getting atleast 3x longer battery using a different Radio.
Such as on one radio it will use about 8% overnight, where as on another radio within about the same duration overnight it will only use 2-3%.
would anyone be able to give me links to these roms and radio's. also a guide would be really handy
thanks
Jon
I'm interested of the rom that make battery life 3x longer...i'm actually using .16(BS), but i don't know if this one is the best.

Whats the best overall ROM for you

ive seen a lot of custom ROMS flying around and i just want to know base from your experience what has been the best that you guys have used.
i wish i can flash my x1 and use every ROM here but i think that might be a bit too much
anyway feel free to share your thoughts.
well...i like the original best...beacuse i don't like manila at all, that is the way of diamond, but anyway, thanks everyone working on the x1 rom
I'm loving Touch-it v7, with fantastic version of Touch Flow 3d (with facebook integration).
I have not tried many other roms, so can't comment on how it compares, but the Touch-it series has definitely got my recommendation!
Everyone has different preferences though, so it's probably worth you looking at various ROM threads to see what fits best with you, then try them out.
I have found the new Topaz/Rhodium ROM's to be very buggy at the moment and have decided to avoid using them until the various issues are resolved.
At the moment I am using WildChild's ROM which is really fast and fairly bug-free. It's pretty much the stock ROM which has been fine-tuned with a few HTC utilities added for convenience.
As it stands we're pretty much spoiled for choice which is no bad thing.
I really like the 6.5 Roms here. Personally I do like my Rom best but that only because it has included the files that I want
I think every 6.5 Rom here around is worth to try. In my Opinion 6.5 is ready for all-day-use, due to its only a beta
they need to sort out the lock application. its pretty bad. just try playing a song then lock the phone. stutters quite a bit. same when the alarm goes off, stuttering. needs some refinement.
hm dont lock when youre listening to music?! You can online deactivate Screen so the device will only reactivate when u press this little button. I doubt that you can press it by accident in your pocket.
I'm stilll at Itje's 5.061 with all the fixes applied.
In my X1 it's stable and fast, and as everything works as intended I find no need to update to the newer v7 or another custom rom.
The newly released 6.5-501 roms are tempting me, but I'll think I'll wait till may as it's when 6.5 just gets released (althrough I think were gonna see something much similar to this latest build)

This thread is about what the best ROM is. Already we're seeing workarounds for WM6.5... Though I'm sure it may become the best option in the future, you surely can't be promoting a beta ROM as the best option for the XPeria?
For me, I am using Norti ROM with Radio ROM 1.11.25.76. It is very stable and fast. Anyway, I love to try a new thing. The ROM I would like to try next is going to be Touch-IT WM6.5 .
Questions for the best/worst/blablabla ROM are FORBIDDEN here!
I've tried a lot of different roms, and I found "timurs rom wm 6.5 manila lancapture" to be the best. I has WM6.5 with TF3D.... plus little to no bugs. You cain't go wrong with that.

Aye, that is the only downside ive found. 6.5 is otherwise very usable on a daily basis. so for me it is the best option.. using touch it Official 6.5, its great

yeah the top button works fine, but i meant the inbuilt windows lock function. if its there it should work
i know what you meant ^^ and yes you're right. But i think such a thing is not very necessary
apologies if this kind of topic is forbidden. i didnt know. anyway thanks for the input. ive settled with Touch-it 7 and i have to say its awesome. spent a few hours downloading the fixes and what have you but after it it was all good. have just been using it for 2 days so i still cant say for sure. but so far so good. i recomend it.

Best Sense 2.5 Rom?

I've stayed away from anything Manilla for months now. I was tired of a sluggish interface. However I was thinking about giving it another shot to see what our fantastic chefs were able to do it it. So in everyone's opinion what is currently the FASTEST 2.5 rom out there that uses the WM 6.5.5. Any input would be much appreciated.
Oh and another thing I was curious about. Another reason I stopped using it was because it didn't really cooperate well with Iconsoft Phonex. Does anyone know if they clash still? (One example of a problem i had was HTC favorite contacts wouldn't go through to place a call when clicking a contact)
thanks
opinion here
read, try and find out 4 yourself
best
I am asking for speed, that is something measurable. I remember people would ask these all the time and quite often there was a general consensus like "Try Touch X Final. Its super fast!" or "Oh man! spikegotti's UnOff series is the best!"
So i was just wondering if there was a specific ROM that most people had more success with than others. If you don't have an answer or are annoyed by the thread I am sorry, but no one is forcing you to post an answer. I was just looking for anyone that had legitimate input. I'd prefer not to completely waste two days flashing every single ROM only to find out that i still dont really like manilla
Well, then do some research on your own. You know, users talk about how they felt the speed is like in threads of different roms. Have a look what rom appeals to you and then read some comments...would not be bad, would it?
I agree with other people, but I would also advice to start your searching from Valkyrie TR 6.0.28232
Try Valkyrie's rom. In my opinion it's fast, stable and you have all needed applications preinstalled
To help your case:
click the link in my signature. There are pretty good, fast, stable and bug-less roms on that blog. Also you could try blaze or valkyries like it has been mentioned already.
So except Valkryie is there another ROM that has Sense 2.5 and stable...Thanx a TON!!
I've just installed this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=637679
and its quite good so far.
Touch-IT BR 21893
I've flashed this one awhile ago and its working perfectly for me. So fast and stable but i disabled HTC messaging, u can search for the cab here in the forum... Cheers!
Go for Rotastrain's Blaze!
It's fast and stable, and any bugs are usually dealt with immediately.

Does the battery drain, also do u have the SOD(Phone freezing after sleep mode) and more than that, is it stable??
I genuinely recommend NRG's Energy Leo 23541 build - i've been using it for just over a week and it is simply amazing; with all my own apps added to the plethora of USEFUL apps already installed, it still flies along at top speed.
Note: Best practise is always to flash the ROM, then hard reset (Press the reset button whilst holding down the two front buttons under the screen) - this ensures best speed/stability!
See the ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562935
Baring in mind i'm a tight b****rd; i have actually donated for this ROM. That says something!!

Hi,
My battery doesnt drain any faster with this ROM installed I get normal battery life.
Not sure about hte SOD issue you speak about.. if you mean does the phone freeze after I've unlocked the screen lock then no I generally havent experianced any freezeing on the phone since installing this ROM so basically I find it very stable.

[Q] Best ROM for X1?

Just got an SE Xperia X1
All excited to try it out, however it has just got freshly put on an WM6.5 (an english one, as the previous owner was using a WM6.5 Chinese one on it). This one seems to be operating a little oddly, and slowly. I'm almost certain it is an HTC ROM as it has a "HTC Calendar".
So I'm thinking I should replace it, what is the best option? It looks like the Android options are a little shaky, which won't do as I'll be using this phone every day (intensively, sending hundreds if not thousands of txts per month, and various calls, apps, etc...).
So... is there an excellent WM6.5 option? With SE panels?
Go for UnOff Infinite or X1.5, then read a lot about different roms and make a decision yourself. The best rom is a rom that fits your needs best.
Which ROM would make it the most similar to the Xperia X2?
Greetings to fellow NZer!!!! I tried a few ROMs and decided to stick with 6.1-based for speed and stability. I also wanted TF3D. I suggest you look at descriptions, pictures and read comments. If the thread consists of thousands of posts - read the last 5 pages or so, they will be most likely to be for the updated version in the first post.
Last time I went to Auckland, I noticed the abysmal Voda coverage, even in the middle of the city, hopefully whatever radio you have on will work well.
I also tried a bunch of others without problems, have to find the exact names, which escapes me now... Try a few each day, flashing is done in minutes, so play around, see how it looks and whether it performs to your expectations. Read ahead on the bugs, of course.

Go into the ROM section and check what's there!
Cool you're in NZ too, I haven't noticed any trouble before now.. but I've been using a Sony Ericsson Aino on XT, the Xperia X1 however will be VF.
From what I've seen I'll lose all my data each time I switch ROMs, am I right? (txts, emails, photos, contacts)
Would be handy if there was a stickied thread with the say the "top five" ROMs as voted by the community, would make it much easier to decide on things for a newbie as the ROM forum can be intimidatingly large to get started with
Just out of curiosity, may I ask what WM6.1 are you using?
Jerpleas ROM. The Unoff ROMS don't work so well with panels.

NUTS 10.9 - never a glitch. And yes, you will lose everything you have, similar to reinstalling Windows after a fresh format.
The best thing if you want to try many ROMs is to install just your 'can't live without' things and settings in order to check they all work. I have all my .CABs on a card, so it's a more or less set procedure. Speaking of VFNZ, some ROMs will run automatic setup and quite a few of them have wrong settings, so I recommend keeping the .CAB and skip the automated process. The only ROM i had seen with correct settings so far was the latest NRGY Cookie GTX.
thanks for that! Unfortunately my battery died and I discovered the charger is not compatible with NZ powerpoints! So my experimenting shall have to wait until next week.... but I've filled up a bookmark folder with a dozen links to ROMs I've got my eyes on.
Still don't know which one I'll try first! I'll simply have to play spin the bottle.

I've used 826x and also valkyrie v7, really nice ROM, smooth and also stable
hi
i also using Val V7.0. no complain. but need to view chinese wording and type chinese. any one can help?
rom?
what is the fastst rom wm6.1 / 6.5 that support sense 2.1? like jack 3.x for the speed and energy rom for sense design... but without cookietab, simple and clean sense 2.1
Make sure you check out EnergyRoms also, I'm tried all his roms, some still have the SoD bug but The "Energy Photon" and no problems at all...but flash flash flash....its the only way to be sure
Just my opinion,
Jerpelea's is the best for non HTC Stuffs, look like X2 stuffs inside.
Energy ROM or x826 Williyung for best HTC Stuff inside.
