I'm sorry to ask as they may already be covered in this forum. I just did a successful update for Siemens SX66. Everything is now updated but I noticed the Radio Version did not update. it's still 1.02.10
I see others who have updated their radio to 1.06
Do I need to do this and if so where do I get this for my SX66? I checked Siemens website and couldn't find the Radio update.
wiki !! getting started
I don't think you want a new radio. The 1.02 radio does better for me, but I'm burried in Blue coverage.
Can you please help my configuration is same as yours mentioned on the site
ROM VERSION 1.12.62 WWE
Radio Version 1.02.00
Protocol Version 1337.32
Ext ROM version 1.12.925
The problem I am having is that most of the time when I receive or make a call the other party cant hear my voice. I do a soft reset and it works even the Service centre people couldn’t help as they didn’t want to upgrade the Radio ROM. I learned on the website that upgrading th radio rom would help. However I have tried and its usually get an error. Is there any simpler option where I can download the RADIO ROM UPGRADE.
Thanks
I highly suggest you check out Wiki and read up WELL.
I had the same problem, I upgraded my radio from 1.08 to 1.12 and it was solved. check this site:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.10_Upgrade[/url]
Edit: It says Radio 1.10 upgrade, but the page shows the 1.12 upgrade.
Have tried but none of the damn things or upgrades are working on my X2 probably the specs are not matching and the service centre people have no clue or they are not ready to upgrade the same for me.
ok, here is the deal.
I flashed the WM5 to my device (Blue angel-qtek 9090), works great !!
standard the radio rom is 1.13.00
a newer is avail. namely 1.15.00
but (as operah says...)
i'm unable to flash the radio rom to my device, yes i checked the forum and read all the BA items....
any suggestions.

Go back to WM2003
You can also use the original Provider Package(here you can replace the RadioRom File).
Try to flash the Radio and then revert to WM5 again.
For me it worked.
Last time I had WM5 onmy device I flashed an new radio to see if it worked (was a VERY long time ago).
Have you followed the wiki Radio 1.15 page ?
Thanks for the info!
downgrading to 2k3, updating the radio to 1.15.00.
after that upgraded to 2k5 again.
thanks
by the way what do you mean by ... VERY long time ago....
gr,
ger
Checked wiki and based on my own updates I come up with November 2005.
I just got Orange SPV M700, and I wanna do the sim unlock by using the HTC_Trinity_SIM_CID_Unlock_v1.
I know this tool only flash the radio rom, and I am happy with the orange official rom, so how can I only flash back the orinigal radio rom? ( can't find the orange UK official rom any where)..
or how can i extract the radio rom from dopod WWE rom update file, and just flash the radio to the M700?
see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295113
I use that rombaker and put only GSM inside. And I successfully update GSM alone. No need to reinstall other softwares.
how can you find only GSM file?
just got the GSM file~~updating now
done~~and i just update the radio with dopod new GPS-enable radio rom...great~~~
Will someone explain step by step how to do this? Maybe you can put it in the wiki.
- Where to get the necessary files
- How to run the upgrade, etc...
Maybe it's already described here and there in various posts but I suppose I am a bit thick....

I second that .
Any chance you'd upload a complete dump of your phone please siupiu.
I forgot to back mine up when I moved over to LVSW's modified version and I'd like to be able to flash back just in case I have to send it back to orange.
Really?

I've been looking for a way to upgrade to GPS asking if just by upgrading the radio I would get GPS enabled. Is that what you are saying you got?
Would you please explain in detail wich files did you use?
What is the "dopod new GPS-enable radio rom"? just the radio? or did you upgraded the full ROM?
Thanks for info.
i did it in another post..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296327
Any chance you could please dump your Full rom for those of us who forgot to do so ourselves? That way if anything untoward happens I'll be able to return it. (Thanks for the info on how to upgrade the Radio Rom on it's own)
I finally took the plunge and changed the radio using the process explained in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296327
(I skipped step 1 as my Trinity was not SIM-locked)
Then I edited the registry to show the GPS icon in the settings page.
Everything looks fine and my navigation software seems to find the GPS receiver but it reports an error and disconnects from the receiver. Has anybody successfully configured Wayfinder to work with the built-in GPS?
Update: can anyone who has only upgraded the radio part of the ROM confirm that this is enough to make the GPS receiver work? I have installed GPSinfo and this program doesn't seem to get any data from the receiver. Maybe upgrading the radio part only is just a waste of time?
I've updated only the radio rom but it seems nothing has changed!!!
of course, updated the radio rom only got a better phone and gps connectivity...

Can you please share details of how you configured your GPS settings? Also can you please let us know if GPSinfo works for you?

Can i update my Radio Rom Italian Trinity with the same process in that link ????
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296327
In point 6 can i write the same as:
"6. using NB to NBH, just put radio.nb in to radio, then change version to 1.23.61.5, device choose trin100, then generate NBH file"
or the version for italian version is another one?

It will work on your Italian trinity too and regardless of version number. You can use the same or another it doesn't matter. That version number is used only by the upgrade program, the radio version will be reported according to what radio.nb you have used; if you use the dopod rom it will be 1.35.00.11

Hi guys I have a new HTC Wing phone which has some issues with the GSM radio, I was going to update the radio for my device to solve the problem but I see that it requires an SPL/IPL version equal or higher than 4
Unfortunately, the IPL/SPL version numbers are not shown when I boot this device, is there any other way to find out
Here is the info I see on the device.
ROM version 4.10.531.3 WWE
Rom date: 03/15/07
Radio version: 02.83.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.37
ExtROM version: 4.10.531.103
One other thing I have is that I have editied the registry to be able to see the band settings, however, the band information info is blank
Thanks in advance
Also a new Wing user (got it last week), and found out my IPL/SPL yesterday
You will see IPL/SPL info in bootloader
How you get into bootloader you ask?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327046
Try the following links as well. Keep reading, as there's a "wealth" of information on this site. I don't claim I am an expert on Wing, but I've been "soaking" in this site the last few days, and I "think" I know what I want/need to do

Hope this help
From another new Wing fellow
hey pal, yeah today I figured out I would check with the bootloader option and I could see the IPL/SPL version, did the radio update to version 8.xxx which is supposed to be the one everybody is using but still can´t get signal inside my apartment, I dunno if it is a particular problem of this one I have or if it is a more general issue, maybe I will try a ROM update...
anyway, thanks again for the reply
Just flashed my wing to Open Touch 3.0 Biggy, which include a new radio: 03.07.90
If you hate TMo ROM, or wanna try something new, maybe you should look into it
I flashed it to Toich It V2 but nothing has changed regarding reception quality while a wizard I have has perfect reception, I will try to install a ruu rom image instead and see what happens, the rom i have now shows nothing under device information which is weird to say the least
