Bootloader mode and 1GB SD card - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

All,
I have to return my MDAIII back to T-Mobile so I need to put the original rom back in. Luckily I made a backup using a 256MB SD card and NTRW.exe
I am using ntrw write myrom.nb1 h: to write the ROM to a 1GB SD card but when I put the MDAIII into bootloader mode I do not get a message asking me to upgrade does anyone now why this is?
Do I need to use a 256 MB SD again to flash the phone?
Thanks
Msuk

Backup of ROM

All,
I have a MDAIII and I would like to back up my current ROM.
I have followed the steps outlined here
http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=151&PN=1
to extracting the rom using NTRW.exe version 2.
Now when I try to restore the ROM I use ‘ntrw.exe write myrom.nb1 h:’ and put the sd card back into the phone and put it into bootloader mode but the phone does not boot from the SD Card. I have tried a 256mb and 1gb sd card but the phone does not display a confirmation to upgrade - can anyone help?
Thanks

Need some help on restoring rom

Hi Guys
I have the vodafone rom for the BA which ends with *.nb1.
I have tried to get it onto the SD card using xdatools but it always errors out saying not able to read the sector. Is there another way of putting this onto the SD card so i can flash my BA from the SD card in bootloader mode.
Thanks

you don't have your rom installed on sd but in device memory, sd simply contains rom image meaning a change in sd capacity has nothing to do with having to reflash a rom
so go ahead and replicate your sd content on the new card and uou should be fine
oh well ok....thnx a lot...this really helps....

Very easy SDHC is not support on the Blue Angel
really? ( too bad.. now i understand .. wish i can still return or exchange it to the store...
even my 2gb SD card is not recognized any help?
back up everything on the card (assuming the pc can still see the card).
then format it like this:
file system: fat32
allocation unit size: standard allocation size
label: whatever you want, e.g. BLUEANGEL
and untick quick format!
then you should be able to access it from the BA.
if you still aren't, there is probably something wrong with the card or your sd card slot in your BA.
