i have Flashed my XDAIIs from WM2003SE to the new himalaya rom version,
everything works fine ,but the only problem is i cannot hard reset , it
i have a problem with my buttons (Home,email, explorer, ok), they cannot be used since i purchased it, so in this case i cannot hard reset my device, as i have to press mail button to confirm the hard reset setting,
Please any one have any alternate solution of hard reset or to format the persistent memory let me know
Try a program like spb pocket plus. It can put a button on your today screen to do a hard-reset & soft-reset as well, in the system section .
It's available on trial, so go for it.

hi again , i downloaded the sbp plus and installed the program,i can find the button for soft reset , but here is no button available for hard reset , could u please guide me
The hard-reset button must be added manually, no idea why ;-)
So go to: start -> settings -> today -> items
select 'sbp plus' and push the 'options...' buttons. Now you can add it to the today bar.

hi thanks for your co -operation , i tried to follow the procedure as you told , once after selecting the today--items--Pocket Plus--options , here comes a new screen titled "today Plug-in" i click on Add button, and a new "untitled" button is created on left hand side, than i click on items on the same screen ,i get list of category "indicator, programs, my documents,system,settings,custom" i tried to find the reset utlity all over the categories but i cannot ,
your comments are appreciated ,i have installed spb plus version 3.04 buid 4195

I'm terribly sorry that I wasted your time; I must have been mistaken fot I can't find it back myself. I looked spb pocket plus, battery pack pro & some other tools but can't find it back for you.
Probably you need the e-mail button as well to put it into bootloader? Or is BA lacking such a mode? cause my magician is havin a hard-reset when coming out of bootloader.

oh please. If you're in WM5, you can't hard reset just like this.
Put it into the mode which you can format storage....
do a search in the future.

Trying to upgrade my PDA2k to wm5 but have a problem when installing new rom.
the instructions are ..
When you are done, press the "Mail" button
A white screen will show for a while - just wait.
It is presently clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing
My Mail button has decided its gone to god is there any other way around this ?

Nope. There is nothing you can do.

If something happens to your rom where you can't boot up completely and you're on the factory ROM...do this:
To perform a hard reset
1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the middle left side of your device.
2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen:
“This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default.
Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.”
3. Release the two SOFT KEYs, and then press the button on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings.
This was provided to me from a reliable source.
I don't have a Wing so I can't answer questions on this.
This came my way beacause my cousin overclocked his Wing too much and it would not boot.
The T-Mo ROM is not available for download to re-install it.
Because of where he works, he was able to come across this info.
I just shared it with you.

Pleas - to all noobs - don´t flash ROMs or change poolsize - when you don´t know how to make a hardreset or to start your device in bootloader.

I don't seem to be able to hard reset my SPV M2000!!!
I press:
-Power+Reset
-Camera and Record to get the Boot Options
-Select NO, Yes, Yes
All of this works fine, but I can't go on from there - no button press will get it to finish the hard reset (and, YES! I DID try the 'Mail' button, nothing happens!)
Any I deas?
I've upgraded to WM6 (after first downgrading to WM2003 from WM5 - same problem occured when I tried this, too!) an I have a load of the programs I installed in WM5 trying to load at startup! I also want to get rid of the Extended ROM.
Any help you guys could give? I'd be eternally grateful!

Sort of found a workaround(ish):
As I hadn't already changed the EXTROM, then all I had to do was to install the latest official ROM from the Orange UK site. That wiped the old crap I had on my BA, then resized the EXTROM and installed WM6.
Would still love to know if anyone knows/finds a proper fix! Just in case I want to change the ROM at a later date.

hi all
i upgrade my pocket pc imate pda2k se2003 to windows mobile 6 professional with (HELMI_BA_WM6_R0_Public Pass newdevicesuck) its working fine but after one day my pocket pc got error (wrong password) i enter correct password many times but it say worng password i soft rest my ppc after soft reset my ppc can't start. reset my ppc many time but problem is still i connect my ppc with desktop pc to syncronise (microsoft active sync) but dont detect my ppc . plz help me what can i do?

There is a bug in WM6...when the main battery is drained or removed you cannot use your password. In this case there is no other option...you have to make Hard Reset!

If this is true I'm sure you do not perform Hard Reset correctly. If this is new ROM you should go to Boot Loader first.
Tip:How to:
1.Perform Soft Reset
2.Push Record and Camera button at the same time and hold them until the Boot Loader screen shows up.
P.S. You should do step 2. before the Radio version/ROM version appear in the right bottom of the screen.
3.“Enable KITL” must be NO, “Clean Registry Hive” must be YES, “Format Storage” must be YES
P.S. Use the Record and Camera buttons for navigation.
4.Press Mail button.(Do not touch anything until the white screen disappears)
NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OT THE PASSWORD(WITHOUT DELETING YOUR FILES) YOU SHOULD PERFORM NO/YES/NO PROCEDURE!

I have been trying everything that I could find on XDA to fix my problem.
I got this HTC clone a few weeks ago, and it was working fine.
I decided to install a UI on it and it worked fine. After a while I got bored of the UI, so I decided to uninstall it. After the uninstall, the device indicated that it needed to be restarted. I did that, but after it rebooted, it started to reinstall Windows Mobile 6.1. I was annoyed by this, but was like, whatever, and let it continue.
Where the real problem started was when the device froze up (I left it alone for over an hour, but there was no change).
I then had to pull the battery. After I put the battery back into the T5355 it just keeps getting stuck on the "TOUCH Diamond2" screen.
I tried all the hard reset and soft reset tricks I could find and have no been able to either setting it back to factory or bootloader mode.
I was able to find a post that described how to place the boo.ini, flash.bin, and loader.bin file onto my micro sd card. I was able to to get the boot.ini an flash.bin files, but can't seem to find a loader.bin file (it that the actual OS rom?). I then found a post that showed how to use HiSilicon IDT to force the install of the OS Bin file (C02_HTC_20091102_R2127_英全视角B包.bin).
I followed the instructions on placing the T5355 into "Download" mode and pushing the OS bin fine to it.
I am able get the IDT software to detect the T5355 and start pushing the install, but the damned thing ends up giving an XLDR error.
PLEASE! PLEASE! Somebody help me! This phone is brand new and really want to get it working again.

The biggest problem I have is that I can't use ActiveSync. If I could use that I wouldn't have much trouble.
Does anyone know how to use HiSilicon's IDT properly? The instructions I was working off of are in Russian. I think that a need a loader.bin file for the T5355 that I can put on my micro sd card...or maybe not...I don't know.
I just really want to get this device back to factory settings.

I don't think you would be experiencing these problems with an original topaz

try flashing a new rom. you may search and download the original 6.5 build from HTC
to enter bootloader, press "volume down + shutdown button" and then flash the rom

DalvuS, thanks for the reply, but the issue is that I can't seem to get into bootloader mode . I wish I could. The T5355 seems to be stuck in the middle of wm 6.1 install. I need to somehow wipe the install and be able to push a reinstall back to the device.

Exca that comment doesn't help me. It just makes me more sad. I was gipped when I bought the phone . I thought I paid for a "real" Diamond 2.
If you can't to catch the bootmode, looks like hardware problem.
You can't to repair it at home, imho. Try the specialized service.

Hello people, how can i dump my rom from my phone (mfu w71) for backup, because i cannot find any rom in english only in chinese. I started to dump the chinese rom with some chinese kitchen (K3系列ROM工具), but i'm stuck. I do not know to do anymore i have extracted ROM, SYS folder. I think it would be good to start another section on this forum for the chinese phones.
Some help from experienced cookers would me be much apreciated.

I discovered that the problem was that the PC I was attempting the install from was running an AMD based processor.
I tried on the family laptop (which runs an Intel processor) and the install worked!
I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!!
b0gdi good luck with your issue. Try doing a search here in XDA for "dump my phone".
nothing[switched off] -> press start -> command -> bootloader -> bootloader commands -> system start -> play
checking one by one by interfering would have done the trick

i Have Flash my phone 100 times with IDT for WM6.5 and WM6.1 all the versions my phone is T5355 Hot D2 but in one day i flash a rom that kill my phone the phone are conntinue to work but no screen picture only light i have try some russian Rom that kill my phone
the phone was been on guerant so i send him back to my supplier thay fix the phone but the factory said that thay need to change the screen so now thay really change the screen and the phone back to me with WM6.1 some New version 20.1.2010 some think like this i have made a call but the phone hang up and not make calls so i try to put him Back the WM6.5 English ROM that i use with this phone before i try to Flash Russian ROM that brake me the picture of the phone and block me the Bootloader Combination of SEnd+End+Power so that way i send him to repair .
so i try the English Rom that i have use before he DOwnload the Flash Fine but now the screen are stop to show picture But the Bootloader are work fine
so i try all the Roms that i have and all the same the screen dont want to show picture
some body have a same problem or can help me with this ?
